After the infamous “Vote like your lady parts depend on it”, I’m not surprised at how desperate the Obama campaign is.
This really was offensive. And I don’t think I tend to offend easily.

so much wrong with this election. I do disappoint easily. I can’t think of an election since I was old enough to vote that I ever really liked anyone. I wonder if that will happen in my lifetime.

As Jeff Emanuel tweeted in regard to Obama, "“nothing says “I’ve completely lost control of this narrative” like embracing a seven-foot-tall yellow-feathered multi-millionaire.”
Except having the seven-foot-tall yellow-feathered multi-millionaire look the other way in disgust and say “Get your paws off me.”

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Those lady parts better watch out…Romney’s going to ban tampons if he’s elected.

Yah…almost fell out of my chair laughing at the shear stupidity. There are people who seriously believe this. Waiting for the first Obama commercial about this extremely dangerous attack on women’s health. :rotfl:
I don’t know about you but I think I’ll vote with rubber gloves on if it’s all the same to you. Ewwww.

I’m very realistic. I don’t disappoint easily and take most things in my stride, but the “lady parts thing” was over the top. I can’t tell you what the men running the Obama campaign need to do with their “non-lady parts” because CAF would probably throw me out of here. That’s my take on that.

I think Romney should run an ad that says, “Romney’s plan for the next 4 years is to save the economy; Obama’s plan for the next 4 years is to save Big Bird.” And then I’d show a video clip of Obama saying “You want to see me save Big Bird?”.

I blame the Obama campaign. I swear, their desperation is offensive.

Sadly, there are women who automatically believe that without even thinking about it. 😦

From KDVR-TV, Denver:

Mitt Romney has flipped the script.

Not only is the Republican presidential candidate, after a brutal month following the conventions, getting a significant bounce following his strong performance in last week’s debate, but Romney is also now the candidate articulating a more inspirational, positive vision for the country’s future (even if he is quoting regularly from the show, “Friday Night Lights”).

President Barack Obama, meanwhile, who’d benefited all summer from offering a more optimistic vision that contrasted with Romney’s negative assessment of the country’s economic situation, now seems to be going small.

A new ad released by the Obama campaign Tuesday, exactly four weeks from Election Day, features Big Bird and mocks Romney’s debate comment that he’d cut funding for PBS to reduce the deficit.

Big Bird’s response:

Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.

Getting dissed by Big Bird…
This is already blowing up in their faces.

The self-immolation of the top of the democrat ticket is in full swing.

The way I see it, we didn’t accumulate the debt, so why should we have to pay for it?
We, collectively, as a nation did accumulate this debt. Elections have consequences. We are all responsible for the national debt even if we didn’t vote for the guy that racked up the debt.

The Obama campaign have nothing. That’s why they went straight to the “Big Bird”. It’s insanity is what it is the connection that those evil Republicans are going to war with the PBS…blah blah blah… This is the same craziness or falsehood as blaming the attack in Libya and the murder of a US ambassador and his staff and riots in Egypt on a 14 minute movie clip that most of those involved never even heard of.

The days following the debates it was quite a spectacle to watch CNN, MSNBC, CBC falling all over themselves to explain how Romney lied and Obama took a moral high ground or the altitude in Denver or some other such nonsense.

It should be quite some good blood sport tonight (I’m missing hockey) watching the VP debate, but tomorrow how all those media outlets will say what a bully Ryan is verbally beating up an old man. SHEESH!

It’s sad really. I think even if Romney’s team pulls off a flawless campaign from here to election day, Obama will still be reelected by 2 points. I guess I’m just trying to prepare myself.

Remember that us Canadians also have a lot riding on this election too. And a President Romney would be better for Canada than Obama has been to us in the last 4 years.

Sesame Workshop is a separate nonprofit entity that owns, produces and licenses the show to PBS. The show’s licensing revenue from PBS is nominal – $1.5 million annually on net, according to Sesame Workshop spokeswoman Ellen Lewis. That’s for 26 one-hour episodes, at an annual production cost of $14 million. In 2011, it got $45 million in donations for its programming, $47 million from licensing Sesame Street products, and another $42 million in distribution fees and royalties. Sesame’s 2011 total revenue was $134 million.

So they have operating costs of $14 million and revenue of $134 and pay no income taxes. Why isn’t Obama railing against them about not paying their FAIR SHARE?

I just think that the government shouldn’t be restricted to a document written over 200 years ago. I guess it makes sense that the constitution doesn’t mention anything about TV though.
200 years ago they would have had to watch tv by candle-light since there wasn’t any electricity.😃

No. I don’t buy into that “we are the government” nonsense. The public was duped into believing that social security was some kind of savings program. It wasn’t; it was used as another income tax. Are “we the people” responsible? The government spends money all the time without our approval. Are “we the people” responsible?

In the end, I don’t buy into collective action. Only individuals act, and as an individual, I had no part in accumulating that debt, and I feel no responsibility to contribute to its payment.

Unfortunately the answer is because it is there and it directly effects our nation and its future existence… all we can do is stop the bleeding and apply medicine until it is healed. Then we can pass on a healthy economy to our restored nation

'Course mom told me I’m a radical purist that doesn’t see things pragmatically:D
Default on the debt, cut taxes and spending, and your economy improves dramatically within 1 year.

Then it becomes an interpretation of the document. Note the bolded which MAY apply. I stand neutral on the topic.

(Don’t feel bad, though, there are some who claim that LBJ’s “Great Society” is constitutional because the word “welfare” appears in the preamble, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:)

Obama’s talking about Big Bird because he can’t talk about his record. He’s just stalling for time and hoping like **** the Benghazi thing doesn’t get any bigger.

The Benghazi thing is getting bigger!

What about the kids who cannot vote?

I’ve always wondered what would happen if the collective “we” stopped listening to “them”?
