How much more should we tax them, and how much would that help? For example, if we doubled their tax rate back to 70%, how much more money would we take in?

Of course this is all a big help to people out of work. You tell them that somewhere out there they can find apples to pick and somewhere out there there is gold waiting to be found. Do you just expect people in poverty to drop everything and spend there life savings looking for gold which is supposedly out there somewhere, but nobody knows where it is?

This is an interesting site. It does mention that someone did find gold in south carolina in 1856.
