That’s cheating.I finally figured out how to get my Wolf Link amiibo up to 19 hearts. He follows me around and takes out wildlife and enemies. It’s pretty handy!

I’m utilizing an available advantage. That’s cheating.![]()
I actually never knew even knew until just now that amiibos were an option so I kind of want to go back and try them.I’m utilizing an available advantage.Honestly, I’ve only used it twice, and only as I’m roaming around the countryside. He can’t be used in the shrines or dungeons.
What does he do for you? I always liked Twilight Princess a lot. Midna was my favorite Link partner by far and I thought the whole “turn into a wolf” thing was neat.I’m utilizing an available advantage.Honestly, I’ve only used it twice, and only as I’m roaming around the countryside. That’s what I thought too, although I never picked one up. I kind of forgot they were a thing until I went to a Gamestop a couple of years ago to pick up Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the cashier asked me if I wanted an Amiibo for it. I had not really been thinking about Amiibos so I didn’t know what he was asking at first. I could have sworn he asked me if I wanted an amoeba. Uh, not really, don’t those make people sickI actually never knew even knew until just now that amiibos were an option so I kind of want to go back and try them. Do they work with the Switch? For some reason I always thought they were only a Wii U thing.
Ha! That’s pretty funny. That’s what I thought too, although I never picked one up. Yeah. Curiously, the joystick on the right joycon doubles as an NFC reader and scans the amiibo. In Breath of the Wild, every amiibo you scan gives you assorted supplies (like meat). And the Zelda amiibo give you some special items like the rare gems and unique weapons and clothes. And then wolf Link actually gives you wolf Link as a travel companion. I have more amiibo than I should have.I actually never knew even knew until just now that amiibos were an option so I kind of want to go back and try them.Do they work with the Switch? The wolf Link came with the Twilight Princess HD remake on the Wii U. On that game, he opens up a special Cave of Shadows trial. However many hearts you have when you finish it get saved to the amiibo. Then when you scan it in Breath of the Wild, the wolf will have that many hearts. Yes, Midna was definitely the best sidekick. What does he do for you? I always liked Twilight Princess a lot. That’s cool, I might have to go and get one now. I love how I’m still learning new things about this game even after I finished it.Yeah. Indeed. I know there is so much I’m missing as I wander back and forth. I was curious and looked online and saw that there are 900 (!) Korok seeds to find. You literally have to leave no stone unturned to find all of them! That’s cool, I might have to go and get one now. I love how I’m still learning new things about this game even after I finished it.
I think so, too. Also, off topic, but that Ratzinger quote in your new sig is awesome.![]()
Yeah, why would you do that? Of course stripping out all elements of challenge or strategy is going to make a game boring.I’m going to give it another go. I have played it before and it seemed good, but i lost interest. This is possibly due to the fact that i had all the cheats on and could kill people in one strike with a sword.
Why hasn’t anyone mentioned dead space. Isn’t that one of the greatest video games ever made?
I know but sometimes, depending on the game, God mode can actually be fun. Skyrim is not one of those games.Yeah, why would you do that? Of course stripping out all elements of challenge or strategy is going to make a game boring.
Dead Space is phenomenal and everything I would want out of a horror game. Scares that are genuine, creature design that is truly disturbing, and above all one of the best creeping atmospheres I’ve seen in a video game since Silent Hill 2.Why hasn’t anyone mentioned dead space. Isn’t that one of the greatest video games ever made?
I found all three pieces of the climbing gear, which is funny because I’ve still only found less than 30 of the shrines. I think two of them were in the Dueling peaks vicinity and the third was on some cliff on the south east coast. It’s hard for me to keep straight what came from where. There’s actually a whole set of climbing gear you can get, though I only ever found two of the three. I thought I read somewhere if you get the whole set you can climb in the rain, though I don’t know for sure if that’s true.
Hearts are helpful later in the game when the enemies get tougher but yeah in the beginning it’s just a lot of fun to have high stamina. Makes it easier to catch horses too.
And I can’t imagine all the work that went into this game either. The Zelda series really is one of the few video game series left where the developers seem to actually care about making the best game they can rather than just rushing to meet a deadline. That’s why I don’t feel so bad about dropping sixty bucks on it.![]()

Yes, I went through the Zora story, but that’s the only one so far. I ended up there pretty quickly, but I’ve been easily distracted since then. I went up near Death Mountain, but ran out of the elixir that prevents me from catching fire. I was just going to warp out, cook some more, and go right back. But I’m easily distracted.Have you started any of the story arcs yet? I was just exploring for a while and then I accidentally stumbled into the Zora arc and then just went almost all the way through with the story after that.
Did you know that old painter guy who is at Kakariko village and also usually hangs out at the stables will actually tell you right where the memories are? That was the only reason I could find that tree one. I spent hours looking for it, then finally decided to talk to that guy and he was just like “oh yeah I know that tree, thats in such and such forest.” Made it a million times easier to find.I don’t think I found any of those lost memories until after beating the game. I will confess I had to cheat and look about 4 or so of them up. Seriously that one where it’s just a bunch of trees everywhere would have been impossible to find except by accidentI still couldn’t even find it after looking up which patch of trees, out of 100+ such patches, it was in. At least with the ones with the castle or the Dueling Peaks in the background you could try to calibrate a line and distance where the memory was likely to be.
