Obama isn’t going to sneak into this election. People know who he is, what he stands for, and what his word counts for. They understand what he believes in, and who he considers his friends. I think that he will not carry nearly the amount of independent voters who sided with him in '08. Hope and Change won’t carry the day in '12. I am a total Austrian school minarchist "l"ibertarian. I can’t stand political parties, not anymore. When I was told to hold my nose and pull the lever for McCain, that was the last straw for me. I am also a realist. I know deep down that government “safety net” programs, while well intended, always devolve into broad spectum entitlement programs that rob people of their dignity and self worth. However, we live in a world where people have become conditioned to thinking that the government is a knight on a white horse, waiting to ride in and save the day. But when it does, it always comes with a pile of paperwork and strings attached to it. And those strings are connected on the other end to someone else’s wallet. I think we can get there, to a small, minimally intrusive government, but we have to do it in bits and pieces. I’m not necessarily in favor of any of the programs you mentioned in the above post. These functions can likely be performed more efficiently by the private sector and for a fraction of the cost. When you write things like “means tested” I immediately think of a governmment bureaucracy - easily influenced by politics and corruption - that would be the ones doing the testing. What could possibly go wrong?

After all that Obama has already shown the public, he still has a 50% approval rating. In 2004 Bush won re-election and recieved a mere 50.7% of the vote total. If Obama gets 50%, he wins.

Left wing Jews vote for leaders who are at the least…anti Israel…the Democrat Party is the bastion of abortion and other issues formally condemned by my Church.
