A list of topics to consider only after it was determined the candidate was pro-life.
I completely understand that’s what you say about it. But sorry, the Bishops’ guide didn’t say that at all.

So I am looking at the results of the poll. To my shock and horror 31% of the people polled would vote for Obama? What in the HE double hockey sticks are you people thinking? This is exactly why abortion will NEVER be illegal in this country, because we have way to many BAD CATHOLICS!!! If EVERY Catholic voted pro-life then we would have a pro-life president right now. I am so sick and tired of “Catholics” who go to mass every Sunday, say their prayers, are against abortion but who still vote for people who are pro-choice; all because they want the war to stop or want the economy to improve etc. The reason why we are having a war, economic problems etc. is because our country has turned against God’s laws. Untill abortion is illegal and gay “rights” are gone then maybe God with soften His wrath just a tad. I for one want Rick Santorum. As Catholics we can make that happen, but saddly we won’t.

Yea, Obama should’ve known better than to start two wars at once!!!

Considering how much he railed against the two that were ongoing, you would think he would have ended at least one of them, not go start a THIRD one. 🤷

Obama started two wars? You mean the U.S. is now fighting four wars? Well, maybe Iraq, started under Bush, but Obama is quickly bringing that one to a close. Afghanistan, also started under Bush. Again, Obama has moved to bring that one closer to an end. Maybe Libya, though the U.S. isn’t so much at war with Libya as much as it is aiding the efforts of NATO in attempting to force “the mad dog of the Middle East” (Reagan’s description of Khaddafi) to step down as tyrant of the country. I’m unclear about where the fourth war might be, unless you are referring to the “war on terror,” but again, that began long before Obama was President and then he has made significant steps in prosecuting that war by making sure that Bin Laden was removed. Are these the wars you’re talking about?

I was trying to make the point that the economy was inherited and cannot be totally this administration’s fault. We were already spiraling before he went into office. Of course partisans will spin it to be the others fault even though they ALL are at fault.

I will vote for…

Homer Simpson

as a write in canidate.

Hummm

well… either Homer Simpson or Fred Flintstone.

There is no difference between Fred Flintstone and Ron Paul. They’re both from the stoneage.

The economy was built on an ecomonic faultline that was put in place back in the 1940s by a guy name John Maynard Keynes at the Bretton Woods Conference. All Presidents since FDR have “inherited” the mess and piled onto it. It is just coming to a tipping point with Obama, who hasn’t helped by pouring gas onto the already raging fire. So no, its not Obama, its not Bush. Its Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt.

Sorry if you missed my sarcasm. I completely forgot about Libya and was thinking of Iraq and Afghanistan…Just finished 24 hour shift at 8 this morning and haven’t gone to sleep yet. Time to crash and burn.

You’re right. We’re more in a position of aiding NATO at this point. Remember we rocked Iraq because Saddam was a tyrant, not for the oil. Now the conservatives are yelling about Libya, when it’s clear there’s another tyrant on the rampage.

Politics is nothing but spin anymore. There are very few honest politicians. 🤷

I think that was my point, We can’t trust any of them. There is only one worthy of our trust and He seems to be forgotten in many of these discussions.😦

He is the only one I really trust. Most of these others are publicity hounds.

Maybe the fourth one is the recent action in Yemen.

nytimes.com/2011/06/09/world/middleeast/09intel.html?_r=1&hp

The Obama administration has intensified the American covert war in Yemen, exploiting a growing power vacuum in the country to strike at militant suspects with armed drones and fighter jets, according to American officials.”

So I guess if you count Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan, you get four wars. I thought the Democrat left was against covert wars. I guess it depends on who is president.

Against covert wars? Not at all. I’m sure they’re the ones behind the growing war in the Republican Party. They’ve probably even donated to Ms. Palin’s road trip.

I don’t know of any “growing war” in the Republican party. I do know that there is a field of candidates all vying for the nomination. The only Republican who has spoken ill of another Republican is Newt Gingrich and he got pilloried for it.

War.
Seems like everyone who has run for president these last few elections has felt the need to provide a war they wanted to get into. Except Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.
One might suspect that they didn’t like the idea of us being a at war with somebody, anybody.
Anyone notice that Dennis Kucinich’s proposal to get us OUT OF LIBIA was recently voted down? Then the, watered down, GOP, proposal was passed. Leaving a LOT of wiggle room.
Can’t anyone see that when the simple proposal that we run our government on the basis of law, i.e. the Constitution, is controversial; WE ARE IN A HEAP OF TROUBLE?
When the general answer is “no”; we are in, way past trouble.

The Democratic Party, (would you believe that I live next door to our State Chairman, and really like and respect him?) seems to be in lock step. The GOP (Democrats: PLEASE, come up with a suitable acronym) is in a state of civil war; trying to define itself. Constitution, freedom, and all that stuff; or something more pragmatic.

What I am trying to say is: if you are a Christian, please join the GOP. We really need you in our attempts to define the GOP as an entity; rather than “Democrat lite”. I’m asking you to take the time and effort to get involved, to show up to meetings, voice your concerns; that sort of thing. We are in a war; and we are losing. Too many Democrats have crossed over before us; to regain, define, the GOP as it should be (at least as a recognizable alternative to the party of the evil one).

Before 1972; neither party stood for much of anything; except power for their party. Then the Democratic Party went off the deep end, and people started bolting to the GOP.

Democratics are against any war they don’t start. 🤷
