Not sure I have just one reason, but I do like it here. It can be stressful when many of us get a little heated (sometimes unneccessarily)I mean, apart from for the great coffee and cookies, the wit, the repartie, - why else are non catholics here?
Is it out of idle curiosity for the catholic faith.
Is it to teach the catholics the error of their ways.
Is it to genuinely debate differences.
If its to debate differences - to what end? Is it to get converts for your religion, or are you open enough to respond to the catholic church if your concerns can be satisfied?
Im just curious that’s all.
It occured to me I have no interest in hinduism, so I dont visit hindu sites and I have currently no interest in debating their beliefs with them. I have no interest in Islam and dont visit Islamic sites and dont debate their beliefs with them. So what’s the interest here for non-catholics?
Personally, I would call Christianity one religion. Are you saying that christians are only one group? You compare non christian groups with a christian view and rightly reject non christian views.
But, all christians have an interest in christian faiths-- or so I thought?
I don’t. I think that you have added something other than frustration.Probably because I am bored, don’t have a life, and addicted to the internet. Internet forums are a bad habit of mine.
If you all want to vote me off the island, I am cool with that.
.
Haven’t tasted the coffee and cookies yet, but that would do it for me.I mean, apart from for the great coffee and cookies, the wit, the repartie, - why else are non catholics here?
My curiosity and desire to understand Catholicism is far from idle. After all, much of what I know and understand about Christ comes from the teachings that go back to the Apostles. Is it out of idle curiosity for the catholic faith.
No way, Jose!Is it to teach the catholics the error of their ways.

I believe that if we come to understand one another better, the Holy Spirit has a better chance of leading us to unity. I don’t believe in “sheep stealing.” I would not try to convince a Catholic to become Lutheran although if one were to express a desire to do so I would help them discern where the Holy Spirit was leading them. On the other side of the coin, I would not seek to discourage a Lutheran from becoming Catholic if they were convinced that is where they belong. If its to debate differences - to what end? Is it to get converts for your religion, or are you open enough to respond to the catholic church if your concerns can be satisfied?
Have bratwurst and beer instead, and you’d need a Lutheran section.Haven’t tasted the coffee and cookies yet, but that would do it for me.![]()

Why not just put us Former or non Catholics on a space ship and send us to a another Planet. How about building a wall and forcing the “Prots” to stay in sector 9. What kind of question is that anyway? Your atttiude against fellow humans scares me. Why the hate for Non Catholics. Why do I vist this blog? I find it amusing how some catholic attack other christian groups and the thread question such as this one are so mean spirited.I mean, apart from for the great coffee and cookies, the wit, the repartie, - why else are non catholics here?

Ok, ok! We’ll wait until tomorrow, and all the Catholics here are invited. How about fried fish and beer today, instead?6 hours 34 minutes

From a Lutheran, if that is where the Holy Spirit is leading you, by all means follow. May His blessings meet you at the door, and the altar.Because up until about 2 weeks ago I had never stepped foot in a Catholic Church and now I spend my week looking forward to going back.
There is not much that I have not heard from the Protestant beliefs after spending 20 years in a Protestant Church. So, I enjoy reading the Catholic responses to things that I have believed my whole life.
Ha ha, no. …Though, IF one choses to drink on a Friday, it should be with utmost temperance.pb&j, huh? Creamy or crunchy?
Come on, aren’t you even tempted a little by the “succulent Lutheran cooking”?
Ok. well, at least we can share couple beers with the pb&j. Not allergic to beer, are you?
