I really wish people would stop saying that only 9000 people actually died of Covid. Yes the CDC said that only 9000 or so died only of Covid, but that is way different than 9,000 Covid deaths.

Fauci told the ABC program “Good Morning America” on Tuesday that the CDC guidance, last updated on Aug. 26, indicates that of the people who have died from the virus, “a certain percentage of them had nothing else but just Covid.” However, people with underlying illnesses also die from Covid-19, he said.

“That does not mean that someone who has hypertension or diabetes who dies of Covid didn’t die of Covid-19. They did,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the program. “So the numbers you’ve been hearing – there are 180,000-plus deaths – are real deaths from Covid-19. Let (there) not be any confusion about that.”

So we have a President who was elected by a majority of delegates but a minority of voter, basically half on each side.

The President has the ability to veto legislation but it takes 2/3 of both house and senate to override the veto, even though the country is and has been basically split down the middle for a long time.

So without congress actually working together on stuff, we end up with a President, regardless of party tipping the scale which ever way they want every 4 to 8 years.

The country is pretty well balanced, but you get the pendulum effect from one person, and in some cases a severe pendulum effect depending on how unwilling they are to work with other elected officials which they don’t see eye to eye with.

The President is the countries President, not a party’s President, but some have forgotten than. If they simply do what they want, the are ignoring half or sometimes more than have of the populace.

If a duck says it’s a chicken does it make them a chicken?

I guess Trump is the new Republican party. Sad thing is that some of the most conservative, life long Republican have simply either left the party or publicly denounced Trump.

Heck, they didn’t even adopt a platform this year, just a proclamation to support Trump. Very sad.

Are you asking about the platform? Normally at a convention they vote for what is called a platform. Basically stating what the party believes and will be working towards. That was skipped this year and they adopted this resolution.
I am asking if he is a registered member of the Republican party , how is he not a Republican, where are the big differences between his policies and those of the Republican party 🙂

According to the CDC, deaths strictly from C19 with no co-morbidities (e.g. the person had diabetes, heart disease etc) is 6%.

So the 180K figure is inflated.

No, the 180K figure is the right one. There is no reason not to count the death of a person who happened to have asthma or diabetes which made them susceptible, for the same reason that we do not excuse euthanasia of a person with terminal cancer.

That is not the proper question, because that is not what is actually at stake. If the nearly one million innocent children are already dying during a Trump Presidency, we have no guarantee they won’t still be dying during a Trump second term. Therefore it is not correct to consider that those one million lives are actually at play right now.
You know it’s a long, difficult path to restore the right to life in this country. Trump has appointed two prolife justices whereas your candidate would have appointed two pro-abortion justices. And Biden will appoint none but pro-abortion justices, and you know that too. Trump has done what a president can do and has made progress. Biden will marry this country to abortion for a generation or more and will, like Obama, do everything in his power to crush Catholic opposition to it.
America is not the only country capable of keeping old people alive. In fact, among developed nations, we are only mediocre at it.
Well, go ahead and show us the proof, then.

Correct. The rest of the world counts this way too.
