Rather a mass of assumptions there really and the language with which you pose the question is wonderfully loaded with an implication that the Jews of the time who didn’t accept Jesus as Messiah were, in some way, non-mainstream and a maverick minority.I watched the video. I don’t think the op was asking why Jews today don’t accept Jesus, but rather why Jews contemporary with Jesus did not accept Him. But this is rather a loaded question in itself, as it is quite obvious that Christianity was brought to us by the Jews (after the Ascension of Jesus.) Therefore Jews (and many Jews, including even Jewish Rabbis, leaders and priests) DID accept Jesus as the Messiah. So the real question seems to be why didn’t ALL JEWS accept Jesus as the Messiah, for which we already have numerous answers in this thread.![]()
Meanwhile, your evidence for your mass of assumptions is what? A collection of writings that, to you, are a holy book and to us are ‘somebody else’s pious fictions’. It’s rather like a Mormon asking why all Christians didn’t accept Joseph Smith, The Book of Mormon and so on in the 19th Century - as if those who didn’t accept them were an aberration from the norm that had to be explained in some way.
