Why do Muslims believe that the Modern New Testament is corrupted?

The scholars are the authority in how the Quran is suppose to be interpreted. Scholars are men, the Church is made up of men. There is no difference, so what is your point?
Hi

The scholars are not any authority described in Quran. No such authority has been given to them by Muhammad/Islam/Quran. The MilitantMuslims ascribe authority to scholars for their misuse.

Differences about Qu’ran and the Bible :

Qu’ran :
  • it is the verbatim word of God, something complete, perfect; pure; unlimited; definite, positive; not relative transmitted to man…then it is dangerous not to interpret it correctly
  • it is a heavy authoritative book thats takes control over all single aspects of life
  • all the truth from the universe was given to a single man - muhammad
  • there is no Islam without Qu’ran
**The above is correct, mostly right. But please remember that all the truth of the universe was not given to only one man Muhammad. It is mUhammad who told us that the truth was given to every nation before him. i.e. Prophets were sent in every nation. Does the bible say so?? I hope not.

The Quran does not deny that truth was given to others too. But it tells that they lost it / wasted away the truth that was given to them. Do you deny this. It is all in the Quran. Please keep it in mind.
Also remember that Quran was revealed to Muhammad by the One God. He got it written down himself through different scribes. The Quran was being recited in the prayers from the very beginning. There is no doubt about it’s authenticity.
**
  • it is a man made book by inspiration of God, and assistance of the Holy Spirit, you even have each author in the top of each chapter
  • The church is the pillar and ground of the truth not the bible because the writtings CAN KILL if wrong interpreted
  • The church being the pillar and the truth, made the bible, and it was not the bible who made the church
  • the bible doesn’t have any authority over the church, since it can be interpreted in several ways, but rather it is the traditions and magesterium - all the teachings transmitted over generations, that owns authority over the bible
**Quran admits that Jesus was a man of God. he was a true prophet of God. he was given the true message and he passed it on to his people. But, from the bible, it is not known that Jesus dictated any message to any one to be written down and he did not write anything himself too. But he spoke the words of God (His God, he had a God.)

People loved him and supported him as much as they could do. But he was caught too quickly before he could accomlish his mission and he had to leave abruptly. His followers wrote down from their minds whatever they had seen or heard about Jesus.

It is said that they wrote it down by inspiration. But inspiration cannot be as good as revelation. Moses and Jesus and Muhammad had the revelation, direct words from the One God. So the writings of the apostles can never be as good as the Torah and the Quran.**

depends what this means. Does it mean that Krishna is a monotheistic messenger sent to India? and that Buddha was sent by Allah to preach there is no deity except Allah? and what about Arabs? what do we say about Ishmael, Salih, and Hud who were sent to Arab nations as messengers, which is in direct contradiction with Sura 34:44?

But We had not given them Books which they could study, nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners. S. 34:44

Where are the books of Ishmael and Salih and Hud?

The Bible talks about gospels being taught to every nation.
The Quran does not deny that truth was given to others too. But it tells that they lost it / wasted away the truth that was given to them. Do you deny this. It is all in the Quran. Please keep it in mind.

So how do you interpret that following verse:

4:59, “O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger and those of you who are in authority; and if you have a dispute concerning any matter, refer it to Allah and His Messenger if you believe in Allah and the Last Day; that is best and more suitable to the end.”

How do you interpret, “Those of you who are in authority,” Surely it is someone other than Allah and His Messenger???

Or even “Ask those who recall if you know not” (Qur’an 16:43),

The scholars of Islam have interpreted the above to mean the scholars. I would like to know your explanation of the above. And what makes your explanation correct and their explanation incorrect???

To all the Johnny come latey:
This is in reference to protestant Muslims and Christians.

Both groups critisize the Church and the scholars of their prespective religion, yet they use the Holy Book, that these men, in the form of the church and scholars of Islam, helped perserved.

How can you critisize the people, who preserved the book you claim to be divine, for if they had not took strides to preserve the book you claim to be divine, there would be no Holy Book in your religion???

Amazing.

Only once did the Hand of God write what was going to man:the Ten Commandments. Other than that, it came through men, not to them.

The LORD foils the plan of nations, **frustrates the designs of peoples. **
But the plan of the LORD stands forever, wise designs through all generations. Ps 33

Enter the temple gates with praise, its courts with thanksgiving. Give thanks to God, bless his name;

good indeed is the LORD, Whose love endures forever, whose faithfulness lasts through every age. ps100

The works of your hands are right and true, reliable all your decrees,

**Established forever and ever, to be observed with loyalty and care. **ps111

Praise the LORD, all you nations! Give glory, all you peoples!

The LORD’S love for us is strong; the LORD is faithful forever. Hallelujah! ps117

Your word, LORD, stands forever; it is firm as the heavens.

Through all generations your truth endures; fixed to stand firm like the earth. ps119-89

Though the grass withers and the flower wilts, **the word of our God stands forever." ** Isaiah 40-8

Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Matthew 5:18

**Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. **Matthew 24-35

You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, **through the living and abiding word of God **1 Peter 1

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, who masquerade as apostles of Christ.

And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.

So it is not strange that his ministers also masquerade as ministers of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 1 Corin 11:13

Just tell us, what kind of a deity are you following when you accuse God of lying because a man who used to invoke spirits told you so? true prophets NEVER EVER accused God of what you accuse Him. You make him to be weak, not serious, moody and childish deity when He already said a thousand time that He is FAITHFUL to His words. Woe to the man who taught otherwise for indeed he was a wolf in sheep’s closing.

However, your false claims that ONLY the Koran is free of textual corruption and that the former revelations are not authentic make Mohammad - in your sight alone! - the ONLY man that was given the universal truth. Please be honest. I am an ex-Muslim and familiar with Islam’s deceptive techniques.

The Bible predicts that God’s message will be universal after a certain time when it relates the story of Jonah sent to Nineveh. Nevertheless, the Bible does not follow the false teaching in the Koran that every nation was sent a messenger basically because it is more systematic and consistent than the Koran in that it emphasises the election of Israel for divine revelation.

The Koran contends that every nation was sent a messenger although it contradictorily acknowledges the election of Israel and accordingly confines three of the four written revelations to Israel! Besides, the Koran cannot name every prophet sent by Allah to a prophet’s own folk (prophet Jonah was not sent to his own folk in the Koran!!!), and it is impossible for Muslims to prove that Arabs were the only nation that had not been given a messenger in Mohammad’s time. Finally, Islam uncannily quits this “system” of sending a messenger to every certain nation after Mohammad’s ministry, contending that Mohammad and Koran, which were primarily sent to Arabs, address the whole universe.
**
The Quran does not deny that truth was given to others too. But it tells that they lost it / wasted away the truth that was given to them. Do you deny this. It is all in the Quran. Please keep it in mind.**
If the Koran argues that Islam is the ONLY true religion with the help of the traditional Islamic lies concerning the corruption of the Bible, this definitely makes Allah a god confining the truth to Islam and discarding all his former revelations as rubbish as well as all his former prophets as incompetent creatures causing more harm than benefit! Further, the truth predestined for corruption cannot be truth at all! Please keep in mind that the supposed Islamic truth is ONLY based on the false allegation that the truth in the former revelations was lost. Telling the truth will not make any sense if the one telling the truth later fails to defend the same truth when challenged by liars.

**
Also remember that Quran was revealed to Muhammad by the One God. He got it written down himself through different scribes. The Quran was being recited in the prayers from the very beginning. There is no doubt about it’s authenticity.**
The fact endorsed by Muslims that the Koran was first worked into a book AFTER Mohammad died rebuts the lies related to its authenticity. The supposed accurate recitation of the Koran in daily prayers before its compilation has many weak points as I have already pointed out in another post of mine. Further, I fail to understand how the certain allegation that Mohammad received the Koran from one God can prove its authenticity?

But, from the bible, it is not known that Jesus dictated any message to any one to be written down and he did not write anything himself too. But he spoke the words of God (His God, he had a God.)**
Even some Atheists admit that Jesus existed and was a righteous man, so what does this prove? The New Testament is clear that Jesus sent His disciples to proclaim His Gospel and promised them that He would be with them unto the end of ages and that His truth would reign forever through His Church. This indicates that Islam is a false religion.
**
People loved him and supported him as much as they could do. But he was caught too quickly before he could accomlish his mission and he had to leave abruptly. His followers wrote down from their minds whatever they had seen or heard about Jesus.**
Since Allah is reported in the Koran to have taken Jesus to himself from this world, this concludes that Allah FORCED Jesus to leave abruptly and that it was Allah who did not LET Jesus accomplish His mission on earth!

In the New Testament, Jesus returns to His believers AFTER accomplishing His mission as a SAVIOR and SENDS them to the whole world as prophets testifying to His Gospel. In the Koran, however, Allah takes Jesus away and abandons Jesus’ apostles/disciples in confusion.
**
It is said that they wrote it down by inspiration. But inspiration cannot be as good as revelation. Moses and Jesus and Muhammad had the revelation, direct words from the One God. So the writings of the apostles can never be as good as the Torah and the Quran.**
I know perfectly well WHO and WHY argues that revelation is better than inspiration. Actually, the notion of revelation in the Koran is an innovation unknown until Mohammad’s time. Moreover, the same Islamic notion of revelation is associated with the Jewish and Christian notion of inspiration because the Koran teaches that what the prophets preached WAS NOT ONLY direct words from Allah! Those prophets in the Koran speak occasionally as free individuals, not as robots programmed to say only Allah’s words to people.

The Quran does not deny that truth was given to others too. But it tells that they lost it / wasted away the truth that was given to them. Do you deny this. It is all in the Quran. Please keep it in mind…
I wish to ask you the same question(s) that I asked Hamba. Other than the Koran which I do not accept, can you provide me with a historical source that shows that the Bible has been corrupted? As a follow up to that question please provide me with a source other than the Koran that shows that the truth was lost/wasted to the Christians/Jews?

They do not consider it corrupt. They just don’t believe that Jesus was the son of God. They believe that he was a prophet. So in essence, they disagree with alot of the New Testament. I honestly am baffled at how many Catholics still caannot understand this. They say they are so open to discussing other religions and beliefs, and yet all they seem to want to do is criticise and condemn the beliefs of others. You manipulate beliefs to make them seem fallacious and iniquitous, only to fit your own selfish beliefs. I am honestly disgusted by it.

For your perusal I quote Hamba2han (a Muslim) from post #8
The Bible is indeed corrupted and unreliable and the Bible itself records God Almighty as saying this:…
While I do not know this gentleman from Adam or Eve, my interactions with Muslim writings support the view of Hamba2han above. Your argument is also illogical for the simple fact that they believe Mohammed received the final and true revelation from Allah through Gabriel. Why would they consider it the final and true revelation for mankind, if they didn’t think the Bible was corrupted? Why have a separate book (The Koran) that relies heavily on Jewish prophets and borrows Christian beliefs? They are not Bahai’s who believe in progressive revelation and persecute the latter who themselves form a sect of Islam.

Please do yourself a favour by reading the Koran before criticising and being disgusted with Christians that know the true Islamic teachings about the Gospel and Christianity.

**Good question. First may I ask you about the bible. What is the bible for you? Is it the OT and NT? or is it only the NT? Is it limited to the four gospels only? Do the four gospels have any hand (importance) in the bible? Please reply to these few questions and then we will get along to your querry about the proofs of corruption in the bible and proofs will be from outside of the Quran.

First let us describe the bible please. Thanks.**

The colored part is right and understood and correct (True). But the later part is not understood. What message the person is trying to give to the catholics?. Catholic means faithful. I wish there was no Roman matter in the Catholics.

A short reply would be that Muslims do not consider the bibleNT as completely false or completely corrupted. Bible is not a first hand documnt from God. It is man made and carries (describes) the life history of an important man of God (Not God of man) Jesus.
Muslim do not consider bible to be completely corrupted but changes by human hands are being made in bible for its improvement. So we welcome these improvements and we all have to wait for some time until the word of God is fully improved. Wait until it appears in a fully improved form.

In other words, you dont know the answer…

Please do yourself a favour by reading the Koran before criticising and being disgusted with Christians that know the true Islamic teachings about the Gospel and Christianity.
The true Islamic teachings tell the history of the Jews and the christians, Moses, Jesus and all. It is in favor of the two religions Judaism and christianity. But at the same time Islam upholds civil liberty, the liberty to chose ones faith. There is no compulsion in any religion.( Quran 2:255)( There is no obscene word of disgrace against any prophet in the Quran. Nothing bad against Jesus or Moses or Mary.)

The problem is that the other religions do not teach such good things which are essential for any faith. The liberty to chose ones religion is of importance to all God loving people. Islam suggests such liberty and in return gives up all ( political power etc) for the sake of that golden principle. Any one can be the ruler.

The bible is here with us. Can any of the evangelsits please bring out one such sentence which should uphold the freedom to chose the religion? Please inform us. Thanks.
