Hence me mentioning the longbarrel pistol last night.Always bring a gun to a knife fight. Harrison Ford taught me that.

Hmm, so you’re the one getting all the hotties! Do you plan on marrying one of them someday? How will you choose which hottie to settle down with in a lifelong covenant?…it doesn’t really matter to me because she is married and i get all the hotties she can’t have anyway. rotflol
the church teaches beauty is a good.
Probably the same way all the rest of us choose which person to settle down with??Hmm, so you’re the one getting all the hotties! Do you plan on marrying one of them someday? How will you choose which hottie to settle down with in a lifelong covenant?
Thank you kindly, mellowcalico. I guess that membership in the Over Fifty Club has its rewards! (Alas, if only I knew then what i know now… ) But God is great. Whatever mistakes we make rarely surprise or shock our Heavenly Father. And wherever our future leads us, He is already there to embrace us! Love and chivalry:knight1::knight2: always win in the end.I think there is a lot of wisdom in your observations.![]()
Yes, Crescentinus, you’re on the right path if you look for the good in everyone. :angel1:I tried outmaneuvering, and I found out that going for a full offensive can actually work. (Please excuse the military jargon.)
Also, it is true that most of the bad boys ended up getting the really bad girls and then leave them. I’ve seen that happen many times in my life. It is saddening, but I can’t help but facepalm at the immaturity of both parties.

Good point. And yet, I have been pursuing the good girls. She might ask you what kind of girls you have been pursuing so far. You might find yourself in need of making the conclusion that you haven’t exactly pursued the good girls.
I have a better answer to that question.
Girl: Where are all the nice guys!?
Me: You threw men like me away so you can be with bad boys.

So basically you’re saying that the reason you haven’t found the right person yet is because EVERY girl dates bad boys… Even the intelligent, devout Catholic “good” girls, according to you, only date the bad boys.Good point. And yet, I have been pursuing the good girls.![]()
You misunderstood me.So basically you’re saying that the reason you haven’t found the right person yet is because EVERY girl dates bad boys… Even the intelligent, devout Catholic “good” girls, according to you, only date the bad boys.
That is very incorrect and almost offensive.
^This, I happily agree with.I have been away from this thread because it is getting repetitive. But a quick glance has bothered me.
Do ALL of the good girls go for bad boys? Come on.
Do ALL of the good Christian boys go for bad girls? As a Christian good boy who NEVER went for the bad girls I find that insulting.
Let’s stop generalizing how bad everyone really is. There are plenty of good people who want good people to date.

To defend JimG, and I believe he was right in his observation, “getting all the hotties” (to defend that poster in turn–it obviously was a joking figure) may suggest some kind of “action” (stress on getting). Something I turned attention to in regard to the opening post of this thread. JimG was right in pointing out that one’s basically looking for one and only partner for a lawful marriage anyway, so “getting” (multiple) hotties is pretty much irrelevant, while it’d be a good idea to spend a while pondering the “lifelong covenant” subject.Probably the same way all the rest of us choose which person to settle down with??
I’m not sure why this poster is getting so much grief for saying one of the criteria she looks for in a date is physical/sexual attraction…

Whoah, no… that’s far too sad for me.Same here.
plays the theme of Kikyo from Inuyasha
I have no idea what that song is.Whoah, no… that’s far too sad for me.
I’m thinking more along the lines of Michael Buble’s Haven’t Met You Yet.

Personally, I’d rather women gave up on the moulding. I’m not going to keep insisting on it since people have a right to be wrong or silly, but just saying. If I married a woman of superior moral character to mine and she saw a way to help me become a better person by ‘moulding’ me like that, then I’d be grateful (I won’t really be dying for my own right to be wrong). But if she just likes changing people from what they are into something else, for no reason or in order to enjoy the ability, or in order to watch her will be done, then I’d much rather remain single.Did you every think that with the way society is, where the bad boy ends up with the girl, and the girl tries the change the bad boy and turns into failure. Maybe it would be better for the girl to mold the good guy instead. It seems that if it the good guy is able to do anything for the girl, he would be easier for the girl to mold him into the man that you want, instead of trying to mold someone you know you can’t only to end up with heartbreak. Just my thought. But please take it into consideration.
I’ve actually heard a young woman say she would like to have a gay boyfriend. I asked her what she’d be doing with him. (Note: I don’t support premarital sex.)Haha, something here reminded me a bit of the song Call Me Maybe…
And all the other boys,
try to chase me,
but here’s my number,
so call me, maybe?
She’s only interested in the boy who isn’t chasing her, which completely backfires on her, because it turns out he’s gay.![]()
Well, everybody has the freedom of speech. Works both ways, others have the right to comment.Sometimes people have to date multiple people in order to find the right one.
Nothing wrong with that.
I suspect the prejudice is coming from the way she worded it, which is silly IMO. But I will let her defend herself if she would like.
