Many people just do not know the ugly truth about Islam or its prophet Mohammad. Either they do not take the time to do the research or they rely on the word of Muslims. Well, since Islam encourages lying, I would not recommend asking a Muslim. It is called al-Taqiyya. If you want to learn the truth about the religion, either do your own leg work or ask an ex Muslim.

There have been people who are actually hiding that they are Christians in muslim lands (morning star) that told wth what the ugly truth is - and wth is bent on being a muslim. I suppose it is cool. I was never ‘cool’ so I don’t know what that feels like.

If this were true then why are they slowly turning the West into the Middle East part 2 as they form their own communities in non Islamic countries and start enforcing their own rules? What they are doing is quite the reverse of the real Islamic teachings. There should be liberty for every one to follow and preach their faith peacefully (not being abusive).

The problem with the christians is that most of them (Specially the Protestants) are abusive. If they do not believe in Muhammad there is no harm. But they should not abuse him.
Similarly, the muslim leaders (Mullas) are not far behind. They do not know abc of Islam. They say any one who has not become a Muslim is a kafir (the enemy of Islam). That every kafir should be killed. These lessons have been taught to poor muslims for many years.

The Muslims living in the western countries should live there lawfully, never to do anything unlawful. Assimilation is not necessary. If the christians in their countires walk about naked or they drink and gamble, it is not incumbent upon the muslims to mix in them or to follow their ways.

You have no clue as to what you are talking about. Mohammad was a terrorist who invited non-Muslims to 3 courses of action. Convert to Islam, live as a dhimmi and pay jizya or he would wage holy war on them.

It’s more than a little surprising to see Catholics and other Christians bashing Islam, based on the history of those Moslems who act as extreme terrorists in various socities.

All I can speak to is Catholicism. It stands with the notion that three major religious groups are monotheistic, worshiping the One and Only God. I can say with certainty that this teaching has been in place since at least the early 1950s when I learned it in Catholic grammar school. The politics of the world have changed but the teaching has not changed. Jews, Christians and Moslems worship one God and in that way, we stand together. As far as the Catholic Church teaches, anything else is a lie - based in bigotry and prejudice.

To look at Middle Eastern terrorists as typical Moslems is the same as looking at European Nazis and fascists as perfect Christians. In other words, such thinking does not compute with the reality of the religions.

As Catholics, we believe that we hold the fullness of truth - meaning Judaism, Islam and Christian denominationals hold no interest for me in the development of my Faith; but they also hold no threat to me and my faith. These three faiths of monotheism are as close as humanity has come to the mutual/joined worship of one God. Attacking any of them can bring only harm to all. I wish that everyone would separate their politics from their faith in this discussion.

Then explain why wherever muslims migrate to that the same thing always happens? Increase in violence against the host population? It is the same M.O. wherever they go.

Muslims make that excuse about the decadent West - but what was the excuse in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, India, Lebanon, Africa, etc?!

The crimes against non-muslims are skyrocketing in the UK, as they are in Europe. The jihad there is much further along than it is in the USA. Geert Wilders has been trying to warn his people with Fitna, and then this speech to his Parliament. Well, in the UK the same thing is happening that is happening everywhere muslims migrate to. Oh, and it is happening in Canada too.

People flee to the USA - and one day if we keep up letting them have their way with brainwashing our children with the MSA, and giving in to their demands (as they do everywhere they migrate to) we will be just like the places that people flee from.

this is a fallacy all those excuses they give why they don’t assimilate. Catharina, have you been reading the Qur’an, its commentaries, and hadiths lately?

There’s a big difference between baseless bigotry and honest criticism. And honestly, authoritative Islamic texts pretty much speak for themselves… If anything from them sounds rather off, it’s not our fault.

Speaking of politics… I suggest you go read up on Sharia Law.

And besides, if they worship the same God as we do, why do a good deal hate us so? (Again, I’m not saying everyone does…)
