It’s amazing how that website keeps talking of forgeries in the Bible and the only proof that Muslims have that the Quran is the word of God is" Muhammad said so!"
It is always interesting how the quran is cited for stating things that the Bible does not specifically state, but that Christians believed for centuries before Mo wrote his little book. What a miricle the quran is!

I find it hard to agree with you. It seems like Mohamed was not so well versed in Jewish and Christian faiths, as several key things what he said about them are contradicting what Jews and Christians really believe (the importance of Isaac vs. Ishmael, the mission of Christ, the nature of the Holy Trinity, etc.).
Also, he didn’t “combine and simplify these two theologies”, but created his own religion (similarly to what Protestants did with Catholicism and what Joseph Smith did with Christianity).
Hi, andzy, my comment was not to be taken as if Mohamed was a Jewish Christian first. To simplify my comment, He took from Jewish and Christian theologies, such as Abraham, Moses, the arch angel Gabriel, he learned of the these theologies hundreds of years later(after there inception into history) and after 400 years of Christian history started Islam with Jewish and Christian overtones. Converted his people from idolatry to believing in one God. Mohamed introduced a mixture of Judeo Christian (the only surving history of one God) into his new religion and made changes for his people to help them convert by deleting and distorting the Gospels of Jesus and denying historical facts of Christianity. He did not accept, the Christian teachings about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. I could not seek truth in Islam anymore for many reasons but I will only mention one personal opinion, That Gabriel giving the message of the Incarnation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, an angelic message of hope, love and sacrafice for all men, to say 400 years later Gabriel commits Gods word to Mohammed to destroy your enemy and conquer (convert) them or kill them. Raises a heavenly doublestandard. I cant say Gabriel spoke to mohamed about the Arabs to convert to the one God ( which is my hope) I dont believe Gabriel told mohamed to convert or kill the many he spoke about saving to the Blessed Virgin Mary at the annunciation.

I agree to disagree with you.
Peace.

In Isaiah 53, all it says is that he will get pierced which again it never mentioned the cross nor did it ever mention any sort of resurrection, not just in this chapter, but also throughout the Old Testament. If this servant is indeed Jesus peace be upon him, then him being pierced and never dying seems to perfectly support the Islamic teaching about Prophet Jesus peace be upon him NEVER died on the cross for anyone’s sins.

Also notice that Isaiah 53:11 clearly states that “he will see the light”. What is that light? Could it be the light of Heaven? Probably be raised to Heaven? Christians do believe that Jesus peace be upon him was indeed raised to Heaven, and so do Muslims too. However, we see no mention throughout the ENTIRE Old Testament including obviously Isaiah 53 any mention of resurrection, nor any mention for resurrection on the 3rd day or any day. So does this mean that the servant will get pierced (by being put on the cross perhaps) and then get raised without dying?

Let us look at the following Noble Verse from the Noble Quran: "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): ‘We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.’ But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them. (The Noble Quran, 4:156-159)"

Now compare the Noble Verses to Isaiah 52:13 “…he will be raised and lifted up…”. Notice that Isaiah 52:13 did not say “…he will be RESURRECTED and lifted up…” Not even once, did the Old Testament predict for the foretold Servant (Jesus) to be raised to GOD Almighty after death. There absolutely no mention of any sort of resurrection in the Bible’s Old Testament what so ever.

The above is an excerpt from this webpage.

God always gave his Word to a Prophet indirectly, i means the word of God is poetic and God always using symbolic word too… its because God is Almighty and Wiser…only a wise man can figure out what God was trying to say…So in this cases of course Isiah didn’t mention Resurretion…But the sentence of " raise up and lift up " already become a clue for jesus resurrection.
one more Things how does prophet mohamad know jesus was not died?he born to this word around 600 year later Lord Jesus.
Don’t tell me Allah told him coz that nonsense and i’m not gonna believe it…
Oh…according to christian bible…almost every prophet have perform many miracle in front of many people to prove that they’re the God Messenger But i never heard that u prophet muhamad Do the same way…so do you think what kind of prophet mohamad is ?

Since the crucifixion and resurrection is so extremely central to Christian belief, then why is it that it is not prophesied even once in the Old Testament?

It is not Muslims who are confused about their faith… and always remember that God is not the author of confusion.
You’re completly wrong when you said that jesus death is not prophesied…and i don’t know if you really confused or you just pretend to be that way…

in psalm 22:14-8 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death. they have pierced my hands and my feetDogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.
Don’t you see that all the word above is a clue of Crucifixion…and if you still confuse, the sentence of"They have pierced my hand and my feet" is the clear picture of crucifixion.
ok maybe people thinks that Jesus not die during crucifixion…But is it possible when people punished in that way will stay alive?logiclly i believe that people will die for sure… and remember… at that time still there’s no good physician to treat people.
That all for today…no matter how hard i try to explain if you still refuse it for me it useles "Jesus say i’m the way and the life anyone who come to father should come to me first…Tq.

Well said.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to read further on this matter might get themselves the following

As usual, you see the bible the way you interpret it.
This is why i cant be bothered answering anymore, no matter how many times i/we Christians spell out things for you, you have a way of miscontruing the truth.
Maybe one day try taking off the rose coloured glasses

Islam is principally wrong in having no crucified and therefore no resurrected Jesus Christ–and therefore has no salvation.

I really want to be a strong Catholic, but then I get these thoughts. Anyway, for whatever reason, I thought about Islam last night, I dont know why, but it bothered me… I just want reassurance from this group, and I want to know why we should not believe in Islam.
Hello, Phil.

I think if one wants a strong faith, one should focus more on what is right, on what one can come to see as undeniably right, about Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular, than on what is “wrong” with other religions.

Why do I remain Christian and not convert to Islam?

Because Christianity, as I understand it, is far more demanding than Islam. Because what Christ taught goes so much against what we humans are inclined to learn, so much so that God, and not a mere man, must be its source.

I mean no offence to Muslims, but it does appear to me that Islam is a more user-friendly form of monotheism than Nicene Christianity. It does not offer us the mysteries and conundra of a Triune God. It does not offer us the idea that in the Incarnation a transcendant God condescends to become one of us. It moreover does not offer us a God who submits himself to human death and human death of the most humiliating kind.

Islam offers us on the other hand a prophet who enjoys a worldly triumph, who dies in his bed surrounded by family and friends, not one who cries out from a cross, “My Lord, my Lord, why have you abandoned me?”

Is it not easier to believe that the Word of God comes to us in the form of a Book than in the form of a Person, a Person who moreover gives Himself to us in the form of mere bread and wine?

Let us look at this question from the angle of a third religion: Buddhism. Buddhism, as I understand it, teaches us that the self is not real and that detachment from the self (or, better, the concept of the self) is the way to free ourselves from suffering. Ironically, it has often been observed, especially by the wisest Buddhists, that one sure way to reinforce the sense of one’s having a self is to fixate on ways to think the self away.

Christianity, as I understand it, teaches us that the self, including our physical being, is very real, and that suffering can be converted into a good if it is united with the suffering of Christ. We truly free ourselves from slavery to our selves not by thinking away the self but by attaching our selves to God, and to God through attaching ourselves to others, sharing in their suffering and loving and serving them.

Many Buddhists and Muslims and others do show by their lives of compassion for their neighbor that they (we would say, by God’s grace) understand the same things Christians do.

Hi

Islam is principally right:
  1. in having Jesus not killed, a cursed killing on Cross
  2. and since Jesus escaped getting killed on Cross therefore he was not resurrected literally from dead
  3. He also did not ascend to skies
  4. In stead JesusYeshuaIssa died a natural and peaceful death in India.
  5. Since getting killed a cursed death on Cross has no real relationship with sins and hence no role in salvation
There is no compulsion in believing the above; only if you are convinced heart and soul.

Thanks

PAAR,
I would love an answer if as I’ve mentioned before the quran states “the book” IS revealed by God HERE…

We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them (3:84 AYA).

RIGHT?

Well here is what “the book” says about Jesus Christ.
John 8:12 (King James Version)

biblegateway.com/bg_versi…ck.php?what=34

12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,** I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,** but shall have the light of life.

if the Quran does not lie then Jesus IS the Light of the world! because the bible is revealed by God according to the quran.

Hi

No, you got it wrong:
  1. Quran does not refer to John 8:12
  2. Quran have mentioned essential life account of the Prophets in its own chapters to which it refers
  3. There are no books of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes in the NTBible; hence the verses don’t refer to NTBible.
  4. In the very next verse Quran says that the Religion acceptable to GodAllahYHWH after the advent of Muhammad is only Islam, all other religions have therefore become redundant.
    I quote the verses 3:82-86
[3:82] And remember the time when Allah took a covenant from the people through the Prophets, saying, ‘Whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.’ And He said, ‘Do you agree, and do you accept the responsibility which I lay upon you in this matter?’ They said, ‘We agree.’ He said, ‘Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses.’
[3:83] Now whoso turns away after this, then, surely, those are the transgressors.
[3:84] Do they seek a religion other than Allah’s, while to Him submits whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him shall they all be returned?
[3:85]** Say, ‘We believe in Allah and that which has been revealed to us, and that which was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and in that which was given to Moses and Jesus and other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them and to Him we submit.’
[3:86] And whoso seeks a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted of him, and, in the Hereafter he shall be among the losers.**

Thanks

Islam as a religion is not wrong. From my understanding they worship God,lets not talk about muhammed now.

There are good Muslim and there are bad ones, just like we have good and bad on our side as Christains, these good ones are as good as true christains and it aplies to the bad ones too, though i don’t want anyone to be bad.

The only thing i want to pick out from their religion is just their violent actions and the sharia law which actually has no bases from which it was handed down,

There Friends and Brothers the wrong and bad people amoung them, probably could be their leaders and even followers are the ones making all these things happen, CHANGE IS ONE OF THE CONSTANT THINGS IN LIFE, I MEAN GOOD CHANGES. They should trace the bases of their religion and look at thing from the angle Humility and True followership, WITH ALLAH ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. And the Heaven will be our limit.

Thanks

A major strength of the Catholic Church is its unity. We should strive to keep it that way.

Hi

Your above points are very true and I appreciate the same.

Thanks

No. They worship a being that they call a god. That doesn’t mean that they or everyone that worships *a *god worships *the only *God

Just like if I say I play football, and you do too, we’re not necessarily talking about the same thing - it depends on where you come from for it could mean; Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Australian Rules Football, American (Gridiron) Football, etc.
There are good Muslim and there are bad ones, just like we have good and bad on our side as Christains, these good ones are as good as true christains and it aplies to the bad ones too, though i don’t want anyone to be bad.

The basis for Sharia law is the Koran, the hadith and commentaries.

You say you come from Nigeria. Recall the woman (Safiya Hussaini Tungar-Tudu) who was going to be stoned for being pregnant?

She’s not the only one. See this (specific example) and this (general examples)

Listen mate, i am not a suicide bomber or something just listen 2 wat i have w say.
Islam is a realigion which promotes PEACE, and JIHAD in actual fact has been wrongly interpreted by the media and people with low knowledge. Islam doesn’t allow killings of the innocent. Believe me and i am a muslim, what ever u hear about islam in the english media most of the times is wrong.

An where do they get these stats from which say “1 in 4 mosques in UK have Hate material”. Just go to a muslim mosque and meet the priest or even other muslims and u will see how good they will treat u.

How can the Quran be put on the same level with God’s word when it is full of passages found in NT apocrypha, Gnosticism, Arianism, Talmud, Mishna, Jewish Legends, and Christian Legends.

Islamic reply : what agrees with the Quran is from Allah.

In other words, Allah inspired apocryphic writers, Gnostics, Arians, Talmudic teachings of Rabbis, Mishna, Jewish Legends and Christian legends, yet Allah did not inspire or even failed to preserve the writings of real prophets and messengers.

Excuse me, Are you a Muslim? if yes, then do you know the Quran well? if yes then read the following English translation of the Quran’s meaning’s think you are not be able to read it in Arabic, if I’m mistaken, please correct me.

"When the angel said, "Mary, god gives you a good tidings of a Word from Him whose name is messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, -high honoured shall he be in this world and the next, near stationed to God. He shall speak to men in the cradle, and of age, and righteous he shall be, “lord” said Mary "How shall I have a son, seeing no mortal has touched me? "Even so, he said “God creates what He will”.
The power of God Almighty, "When he decrees a thing He but say to it, “Be”, and it is. (Al-Imran 3:45-47)

Read on,

"Then she brought the child to her folk, carrying him, and they said, "Mary, you have surely committed a monstrous thing. Sister of Aaron, your father was not a wicked man, nor your mother a woman unchaste. Mary pointed to the child; but they said, 'Hoe shall we speak to one who still in the cradle, a little child. And he said, 'Lo, I am God’s servant, God has given me the Book and made me a Prophet Blessed He has made me ,wherever/may be; and hi has enjoined me to prayer, and to give the alms so long as I live, and likewise to cherish my mother; He has not made me arrogant and wicked. Peace be upon me, the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised up a live. "Maryam 19:29-33)

No we come to the last important point, the the Jesus Messiah’s (PBUH) ascension to heaven…read to end of the versus.

"And when Jesus perceived their unbelief, he said 'Who will be my helpers in the cause of God? The apostles said, 'we are Gods helpers. We believe in God; so bear witness of our submission God, we believe in that you have sent down, and we follow the Messenger. Inscribe us therefore with those who bear witness. 'And they devised, and God devised, and God devised, and God is the best of divisors. When God said, 'Jesus, I will take you to Me and will raise you to Me, and I will purify you (of the falsehoods) of those who do not believe. I will make your followers above the unbelievers till the Resurrection Day."(Al-Imran 3:52-55)

As the above verses indicate, Jesus was taken and raised to heaven. He was not crucified. It was certainly the plan of the enemies of Jesus to put him to death on the cross, but God saved him and someone else was crucified:

"And for their unbelief, and their uttering against Mary a grave false charge, and for their saying, 'We killed the messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the Messiah of God"…yet they did not slay him, neither crucified him, only a likeness of that was shown to them. Those who are at variance concerning him are surely in doubt the following of conjecture; and they did not kill him of certainty…no indeed; God raised him up to Him; God is Almighty, Allwise. There is not one of the people of the book but will assuredly believe him before his death, and on the Resurrection Day he will be a witness against them." (An-Nissa 4:156-159)

How can the Quran be put on the same level with God’s word when it is full of passages found in NT apocrypha, Gnosticism, Arianism, Talmud, Mishna, Jewish Legends, and Christian Legends.

Name one apocrypha passage…? please don’t go there and copy from those fools who are eaten up by their blind hate, what what a learned amn would ahve done, pick up a copy of KJV and put side by side with the Quran (translations of meaning’s in English) and read, find out for yourself and then share with me.

Islamic reply : what agrees with the Quran is from Allah.

That is about it.

In other words, Allah inspired apocryphic writers, Gnostics, Arians, Talmudic teachings of Rabbis, Mishna, Jewish Legends and Christian legends, yet Allah did not inspire or even failed to preserve the writings of real prophets and messengers.

to really believe this is God…
How could that be…? is the knowledge of Allah is limited…?

Injesus, my dear bother let me respectifully disagree with you and i kindly make a suggestion, pick up one othe best or latest translations of the meaning of the Quran and see it for yourself, I could suggest few names if you like.

Second clarification, let’s start the english translation of the meaning of the Quran Al Kareem, Chapter 15 Al-Hijr “Valley”.
“Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Qur’an and surely, We will guard it from corruption" (15:9)

first, Allah did not inspire what you have claimed in the above and you can not proof it in anyway shape or form,

Second, Consider these facts,

1- God Almighty has tested all mankind starting with Adam (PBUH) and until Judgment Day.

2- The moment holy books were sent down, people started distorting and making up things in them.

3- So why didn’t Allah preserve these books? so that these people will have no excuse after the Qur’an was sent down and preserved…?

4- Hence, the Torah (Old Testament) and the Injil (New Testament (Gospel) were temporary books sent down to specific people in a specific time, and the test was whether they will preserve or distort them. Since they failed the test, God the Almighty wanted to send a final book to the remaining all mind kind until Judgment Day and He defended this book; thus, we’re still under a trial period, and God is still challenging us in this verse until Judgment Day. Therefore, can anybody attempt to distort it or make additions? Yes,

5- Can they succeed or has anyone succeeded , Not in 1428 years,

I will stop here and ask you to consider them patiently and without malicious and remember, you don’t have to wear the shoes it if it does not fit.

Thank your kindness,
