Why is Islam wrong? Let me count the ways:
First, Mohamed’s claim that an angel told him to write the Quran is unsubstantiated. In order for me to believe his claim, I would have to have blind faith in Mohamed. But Mohamed believed in lying, in cheating, in stealing other men’s wives. Mohamed is not trustworthy. Therefore, I don’t believe Mohamed.
Second, Mohamed’s legacy, the Quran, was such a shambles that his faithful followers decided to burn the originals and substitue a copy. That would not be permitted in any court of law today. If the oriiginals were burned accidently, that is one thing, but the originals were bunred maliciously with the intent that no one ever be able to compare the copy to the original.
In other words, the originals were burned in order to hide the truth.
Third, Mohamed’s followers do not give an example that I would follow. They believe in lying, they believe in cheating, they believe it is fine to conquer, pillage, rape and enslave. They don’t permit freedom of conscience or religion.
Fourth, Islamic doctrines are contradictory. They contradict the doctrines in the Quran and the Quran itself is contradictory.
Fifth, Islam obviously can’t govern itself. Some believe the Quran requires war on unbelievers, some believe it doesn’t. The ones who believe it does seem to have the upper hand and the ones who believe it doesn’t are afraid to explain to the others their different opinion on pain of death.
Either that or they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes until the others can eliminate us.
Sincerely,
De Maria
