Why is voting for Biden a mortal sin?

Nope. So, seriously, what, to you, equals “pro-life?”

(Apparently it’s not enough to appoint pro-life judges to the federal courts, speak at the March for Life, and advocate against abortion).

Do you consider me “pro-abortion” if I think a woman with an ectopic pregnancy should be able to get an abortion?

Would you call me “pro-abortion” if I think a woman should be able to get an abortion if her own life is in danger without it?

Would you call someone “pro-life” if they advocate burning down an abortion clinic?

Were the Bushes pro-life? Mitt Romney?

Seriously, I’d love to know.

his policy is to permit States to legislate on abortion themselves,
I think that would be a good start. And let each state decide. That kind of subsidiarity would be better than the current federal situation.

Pass the buck? Ah, that’s really (exactly) what you’re doing to me, not answering any of my questions, including mere hypotheticals unrelated to who’s running.

As I’ve said, many folks arbitrarily decide who is and who isn’t pro-life, and the pro-life tent includes those who see no one as “pro-life enough” except someone who burns down an abortion clinic. I know you’re not advocating that. But it ought to be enough that Trump is a LOT more pro-life than his republican presidential predecessors or candidates, and light years more pro-life than Joe Biden, who does in fact boast of his endorsement by NARAL.

Totally apples and oranges. Totally.

Your position (as near as I can tell, since you’re not being real forthcoming) is, BTW, actually really disrespectful to those in the pro-life camp (and there are many) who would describe themselves as staunchly pro-life and/or hating abortion yet might allow it rarely, i.e. an ectopic pregnancy. It seems that to you, such a person is just as “pro-abortion” as is a doctor who does them or a pol (like Biden!) who takes the abortion lobby’s (blood) money.

he openly admitted to supporting abortion in cases of rape and incest. 2+2= pro abortion
In other words, he opposes abortion in cases where the woman had a choice to conceive, but parses those from cases of rape or incest where there are additional mitigating factors.

That would be called a legitimate distinction. You may not agree with where he draws the line - and neither do I for other reasons - but there is a reasonable line of separation there that many others agree with.

If you cannot see that a raped woman faced with carrying a child she was forced to conceive is facing a very different moral question from a woman who participated willingly but out of convenience chooses to abort, then I would suggest you revisit the three fonts or dimensions of a moral act.

A thief who steals bread to feed his hungry family is on quite a different moral plane from a thief who steals bread from a starving family. Theft is not always just theft, there are nuances to be considered. You may not agree with where Trump draws his lines, but he isn’t advocating for taxpayer funded abortions for any reason up to and after birth. That would be the Democrat promoted reality if Harris-Biden are elected.

if these people are politicians and have the power to change things they should.

in your opinion is an abortion paid for by the state more of a sin than one paid for by the individual?

Ah, and this is precisely why you (and everyone here!) should support Trump’s reelection: It’s not often a pol can directly impact abortion policy. After Ginsburg’s death last night, the next Supreme Court Justice is of huge significance. Would you rather have that justice be a Trump Pick (say, Amy Coney Barrett, a prolife Catholic mother of 7 and on Trump’s short list)? Or a pick by Joe Biden, who has NARAL’s support? Would you like the next Supreme Court justice to be a Ginsburg wannabe who will likely find some right to abortion in the Constitution?

The choice is yours.

in your opinion is an abortion paid for by the state more of a sin than one paid for by the individual?
Yes because that indicates – if the state is a democratic one – that a majority of individuals endorse and sanction the sin. If only one individual pays, that implies only two are culpable, the abortionist and the one paying assuming they are having the abortion.

what does “if the state is a democratic one” mean? Republicans never make bad decisions?

Come on, you want to ask us all sorts of things but never answer anything we put to you. Sorry, not gonna play that game.
