If they’re so far gone that they don’t see the need, in general, for more children to be born on the Earth, there’s not much anyone can tell them.
Did they later find out the ‘non-denom’ was a covert Baptist operation?Baptist to a non-denominational evangelical church
Some Catholics implying that this passage in Scripture applies to most gay men today might be one reason that people are leaving the Church. I’m a gay man but don’t think that my being the way that I am is because I’m “filled with every form of wickedness, evil, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, rivalry, treachery, and spite” and am “senseless, faithless, heartless, [and] ruthless”.What the bible actually says: Romans: 24-32
“Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts[o] for the mutual degradation of their bodies. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural, 27 and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God handed them over to their undiscerning mind to do what is improper. 29 They are filled with every form of wickedness, evil, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, rivalry, treachery, and spite. They are gossips 30 and scandalmongers and they hate God. They are insolent, haughty, boastful, ingenious in their wickedness, and rebellious toward their parents. 31 They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”
But Thorolfr, are you a gossip? That would seal the death sentence, don’t you think? Some Catholics implying that this passage in Scripture applies to most gay men today might be one reason that people are leaving the Church. In my own lifetime, the world’s population has doubled and it’s becoming kind of crowded where I live. If 5% of the population doesn’t have any children, I doubt that the human race is going to die out.If they’re so far gone that they don’t see the need, in general, for more children to be born on the Earth, there’s not much anyone can tell them.
Or maybe they truly believe the Church is in error on this one.Because they want to be down with the gay thing. It’s the modern social cause and they want to seem progressive and socially inclusive.
Yes, death sentences. Paul calls for the death of those who practice homosexuality, at least those Christians in Rome. We don’t know if he meant all homosexuals, since his letter was addressed to the Romans specifically. However, if you are going to use this text to implicate all homosexuals in all times and places, you have to take his call to put them to death. Right?Death sentences?
Romans 1: 32Which verse specifically?
Leviticus commands the killing and Paul was referring to that law.Deserving to die is different then a command to kill.
