Avoiding the central issue with distractions. What exactly do you call this???![]()
Fine.I have not seen any negative attitudes to note.
That point was brought up.![]()
Fine.Fine.
Now do you join the chorus in demanding that these people stop their destructive behavior?
Either they clearly denote that they are some church other than the Roman Catholic Church or stop mocking our most sacred Sacrament.
Prayers go out for you and them.I’m curious as to your opinion of these activites.Fine.If you want to see it that way, no one is stopping you.

Because I’ve always thought the purpose of these discussion boards was to view and exchange opinions on the subject presented.*I’m curious as to your opinion of these activites. *

So, you can ascribe to me more ideas I haven’t expressed. Save it for someone else.
Your questions to me are quite confrontational and assume positions I have not expressed. I disagree with some of your pronoucements, and I also I feel I am being bullied by your statements. I know you are quite fervent in your beliefs, and good for you. I have no intention of debating this with you. Thank you. I will pray for you.I’m curious as to your opinion of these activites.
Do you accept that these women really are priests and they conduct a valid Mass with a true Eucharist?
Or do you not see a problem with anyone claiming to be a priest and leading people away from the Eucharist?
It has to be one or the other. Or if you see a third explaination I’d love to hear it.
If you view this situation as the later do you support the idea that anyone (me, my wife, whoever) can set up shop as a Roman Catholic Priest and start saying Mass?
Wouldn’t that be dangerous to the faith? Wouldn’t that render the preisthood meaningless?
Specific answers would be appreciated.
How is asking you what you think bulling?Your questions to me are quite confrontational and assume positions I have not expressed. Many of the groups calling for women “ordination” also agree with many of those things you listed. The one who agrees that women can be priests better dam* well agree with the one who supports abortion, polygamy, homosexual marriage, euthanasia and any other sin one feels compelled to commit. If not, you’re just a hypocrite!![]()
I don’t think you can undermine the argument for women priests by citing this symbolic or typologic “marriage.” If we follow your logic, it would also be impossible for a married man to act in persona Christi. How in the world can a woman act in persona Christi or an altar Christus? How does that work? How can a woman be married to a BRIDE? She can’t! It is not theologically sound to have female priests regardless of what “other churches” have done.
The argument for women priests has already been totally undermined by the Pope speaking ex cathedra and saying that there cannot be women priests. The Church has spoken. The subject is closed. Period. The End. Fini.I don’t think you can undermine the argument for women priests by citing this symbolic or typologic “marriage.” If we follow your logic, it would also be impossible for a married man to act in persona Christi.
Since it appears you are addressing me, I’ll point out that it was jay29 who had something additional to say about this, which I felt was logically flawed. My comment was directed at him, not at the former Holy Father. The argument for women priests has already been totally undermined by the Pope speaking ex cathedra and saying that there cannot be women priests. What more is there to be said?
