No, it’s a sticking point in my joining the Lutheran LCMS church.
No one really knows but I would assume it’s because creationism topics end up being very heated. It was so bad according to older members the topic was banned on the old CAF.Ok why is this topic closing in 2 days?
For one thing I attended a Kolbe lecture organised by one of the most serious minded and orthodox priests I have ever known, completely unafraid to speak about moral issues that most would balk from. Theologian and learned in science too. The lecture overturned my devotion to Darwin and from there I read a Creation book by again, a very tradition minded and orthodox writer who overturned objections to old earth. He is old school Catholic. Not progressive if you see what I mean. I’ll get the title later and post it here. Can you tell me why you think this, despite all the evidence and scientists who are against it?
can you explain further? No, it’s a sticking point in my joining the Lutheran LCMS church.
Point of clarification. The evolution that Catholics are allowed to beleive in is “divine evolution.” Meaning: we see it as evolution, but it is all part of God’s design.According to a Catholic Answers page, Catholics ARE allowed to believe in cosmological evolution, biological evolution, and human evolution.
