Tough break for you. Lindsay Lohan wonā€™t be eligible until 2024. (I had to look that up at Wikipedia since I am not really a fan, or a rehab therapist who would have personal knowledge about her).

If we continue on the path we are on now, she may seem a reasonable choice by then.šŸ˜¦

 You ask why I wouldn't vote for Palin?

  She has a gift for oratory and for arousing the troops - those that love her. But she would never win. That's the first reason. There are too many voters, Republican as well as Democrat, who would not want her as a representative and symbol of our nation. 

  I have sensed that she is a novice when it comes to important and complex issues. I'm not convinced that could be changed with time, or she lacks a natural gift for handling complicated questions. Many of such questions confront our president.

  She strikes me also as somewhat impulsive. For example, her resignation as governor seemed to illustrate that.

  I recall her religious involvement in Alaska, and it struck me as a somewhat bizarre connection. I'd need to study up on it, but that was the impression I got at that time.

He still beats everyone else listed here, and this is a pretty mixed bag of fruit. Maybe people understand and want liberty more than they do the same old, same old Country Club Republicanism that Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman represent, or the kooky way out on the religious right, want to legislate and put into statutory regulation Christian behavior.
 
I plan to vote for whoever wins the GOP nomination. This country cannot afford another 4 years of Obama in office. The next year and a half will be plenty painful enough!
Although Gingrich currently has a slim to none chance at getting the nomination due in large part to financial problems, I think he would be a strong President if elected. I will give him my vote here one more time.

Palin and Bachmann understand what the country needs to get out of the mess we are in and have remained staunch in their positions. I would be more than happy to vote for either one of them.

Perry: As it stands now, I agree with anyone who thinks he will end up getting the nomination in the end. That isnā€™t to say he is the best choice, though. I will be curious to hear him clarify his stance on the issues first.

Romney: Weak front runner with lots of money. I do like most of the positions he takes on the issues, but I could say the same for Paul, Cain and Pawlenty as well. Just not my personal top choice.

Bolton added that he believes there is ā€œenormous vulnerabilityā€ for President Obama and that ā€œhe deserves to be beatenā€ and ā€œisnā€™t competent to be President.ā€

Iā€™m voting for Ron Paul. His views and policies are closest in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Traditional Latin-mass loving Catholics like Judge Andrew Napolitano and Thomas Woods(from EWTN), both of whom are huge supporters of Paul, always reinforce the fact that I am simply in the right camp. Itā€™s awesome to see that Paul is popular in these Catholic forums. Once he wins the straw poll, and hopefully comes out strong in the debate next week in Iowa, I think heā€™ll easily be a contender as the front-runner.

This has been the trend that has been emerging in other articles and reports I have read variously. It tends to undermine my bodacious prediction from a month to month and a half earlier that Perry would be the eventual nominee, but the facts are the facts. Still, I think the Republican field is highly fluid and there are still large numbers of undecides. So, once Perry is actually in the race, I think the numbers will quickly change. I could be wrong. Weā€™ll see.
 
If the GOP nominates Romney, I am sitting this election out. I am going to focus on local and state politics, because it means that all the GOP cares about is maintaining the status quo.

No surprise there. Tthat is how libertarians help helped elect Obama in 2008 and that is how they will try and help re-elect him 2012. And I am sure if he wins with their help in 2012. they will sit once again sit on the sidelines throwing stones at everybody and whining that if only Ron Paul had been that elected peace would rule the planet and love would rule the stars

But I suspect a lot didnā€™t vote for McCain because he didnā€™t pass their Libertarian purity test, as you acnowledge you will do if Romney is nominated. . The idea that there is no difference between Romney and Obama is absolute nonsense.

Iā€™ve said it before and Iā€™ll say it again, I am not falling for the ā€œlesser of two evilsā€ arguement anymore. As far as I am concerned, if the majority of Americans want a socialist, pro-abortion, anti-American, community organizer for President, so be it.
