What if I’m right and they nominate Perry? Then what?
You mean Al Gore’s former campaign manager? What makes him any better than Bush? All I see are two big government Republicans. No thanks. At least the Democrats are honest about the fact that they love government power and the desire to impose their will on the American people.

If the GOP nominates Romney, I am sitting this election out. I am going to focus on local and state politics, because it means that all the GOP cares about is maintaining the status quo.
Yes, why vote for a duplicitous socialist lite like Milt when you can keep your full-fledged Communist in power?

Yeah…I don’t get it. I believe it’s called “cutting off your nose to spite your face.” 🤷

I’m voting for Ron Paul. His views and policies are closest in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Traditional Latin-mass loving Catholics like Judge Andrew Napolitano and Thomas Woods(from EWTN), both of whom are huge supporters of Paul, always reinforce the fact that I am simply in the right camp. It’s awesome to see that Paul is popular in these Catholic forums. Once he wins the straw poll, and hopefully comes out strong in the debate next week in Iowa, I think he’ll easily be a contender as the front-runner.
I hope that when the caucuses and primaries actually come, may Paul supporters will drift toward conservative-libertarian Sarah Palin. She can actually WIN, and she lacks Paul's stridency. Actually, RAND Paul is someone I hope to see in the mix in subsequent Presidential elections. ;) Rob

So, its Ron Paul or bust?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not falling for the “lesser of two evils” arguement anymore. As far as I am concerned, if the majority of Americans want a socialist, pro-abortion, anti-American, community organizer for President, so be it.
That is your prerogative. But if Obama is reelected please do not come around us whining about what a terrible president he is as you will be as responsible for putting him in office as those of voting for-…after all ff the majority of Americans who do not want socialist, pro-abortion, anti-American, community organizer for President stay home because his opponent does not pass their purity test they might as as well have voted for him.

By the way I prefer to look at the way , Archbishop Chaput who does-that is a we are not voting for the lesser of two evils, we are voting that lessoe evil. So you will have to ask yourself would the country be better off with Romneyas president or Obama as president?

. I think Ron Paul would be an absolute disaster as president but I would vote for him over Obama in a New York minute. . I most certainly would not stay home pouting because my preferred candidate didn’t get the nomination.

Basically anyone but Sarah Palin! For some reason, that lady annoys so much that I would seriously consider voting for a third party candidate if she were to be the G.O.P.'s nominee. And even though he is a flip-flopper who signed gay marriage into law in Massachusetts, I have always liked Mitt Romney. Maybe it’s that movie star smile!

Where’s the love for Huntsman?

And Perry really needs to cut down with the far right stuff or he’s going to share the same fate as Huckabee. Someone as conservative as him has about as much chance as Barney Frank has at being nationally elected.

Rick Perry’s Texas A&M transcript for those who are interested:

scribd.com/doc/61684192/Rick-Perry-s-Texas-A-M-Transcript
Hmm. Looks like a guy who thought perhaps of becoming a doctor but couldn’t do it. Where’s the rest of the transcript? We need that to compare to Obama’s. Oops! Obama won’t release his, so I guess we can’t. 🤷

But I’ll bet if the DNC operatives are planning to use this transcript against Perry (which they definitely will if he’s nominated) Obama might trot his out unless its:

“Alinsky’s Philosophy Today” 6 hrs A
“Applied Marxism” 6 hrs A
“Hooray for Abortion” 2 hrs A+
“Middle Class Suppression” 2 hrs A
“Economics” 3 hrs F-

-And so on.

I’m on the fence with three nominees, as far as top three, I would definitely make a cabinet with all the choices listed. like VP I may put Bachman in. any who top three in no order are Romney, Santorum, and Pawlenty. I would put Palin in the cabinet as well as cain.

I already know your position Bob, but thanks for your (name removed by moderator)ut. I gues Scott’s not talking to me. 😦

Briefly off topic: Have you checked out the ND football fans group lately? I’m resisting the urge to get excited too soon, but boy they’re really looking for a great season. Go Irish!!
