I’m pretty sure this is why Jesus wept. I didn’t know that the political polarization in the U.S. had gotten to the point where the pro-choice community would be willing to turn their backs on what took place in Philadelphia. President Obama’s statement on the TODAY show pretty much severed any sentiments I have for him or his Administration, and I voted for him. He danced around the topic of the Gosnell trial and instead deflected to the oh so “venerable” Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, and rare” comments. I’m an African American college student, and to see my president turn his back on other African Americans being subjected to consequences of the pro-choice culture, purely for political reasons…hurts. The Boston Marathon deserves media attention, yes, but the Gosnell story has been in circulation for nearly two years, and media coverage still hasn’t pivoted to it. I hope any discerning minority, or anyone with a pulse really, sees this and understands what the future holds for our society. When human life is trivialized to biomedical trash, where the poorest and most vulnerable (woman and children) are marginalized and undeserved and tricked into thinking infanticide and population control (abortion) are a God-given right, and no one looks twice because that’s the way it is. God help us.
