That’s humorous, Fox still devoted 6 and a half minutes back then, this is the best the left can do? And David Brock, Media Matters executive with his $300,000 salary?

When it came out of the tales of outright infanticide in 2013, unspeakable acts in the Gosnell clinic, the 4 alphabet networks mustered about 29 seconds of coverage.

Real game changer.

Here is another one:

At the end it’s noted that while abortion organizations are distancing themselves from Dr Gosnell, these organizations routinely fight against any restrictions, requirements or inspections of clinics.

The truly sick thing is that Dr Gosnell became very wealthy with this clinic but did not spend money on even basics like cleaning service. I know our lab has frequent inspections and that everything from charts to security for medications is also frequently inspected.

But everyone was asleep at the wheel in this case.

Just as sickening to me is those who fought against regulations that could have prevented this are now blaming the prolife community:
“This is exactly what happens when you place undue restrictions and you try to shame women to keep them from exercising their constitutional right to safe and legal abortions,” Hogue told The Huffington Post in an interview. “You make them victims to people like Gosnell, because in their desperation they’ll turn anywhere. You want to drive people like Gosnell out of business? Then you actually support medical facilities and the right of women to safe and legal abortion.”

I’m pretty sure this is why Jesus wept. I didn’t know that the political polarization in the U.S. had gotten to the point where the pro-choice community would be willing to turn their backs on what took place in Philadelphia. President Obama’s statement on the TODAY show pretty much severed any sentiments I have for him or his Administration, and I voted for him. He danced around the topic of the Gosnell trial and instead deflected to the oh so “venerable” Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, and rare” comments. I’m an African American college student, and to see my president turn his back on other African Americans being subjected to consequences of the pro-choice culture, purely for political reasons…hurts. The Boston Marathon deserves media attention, yes, but the Gosnell story has been in circulation for nearly two years, and media coverage still hasn’t pivoted to it. I hope any discerning minority, or anyone with a pulse really, sees this and understands what the future holds for our society. When human life is trivialized to biomedical trash, where the poorest and most vulnerable (woman and children) are marginalized and undeserved and tricked into thinking infanticide and population control (abortion) are a God-given right, and no one looks twice because that’s the way it is. God help us.

👍 Very sad that politics has priority over patients (moms and babies) and their health and safety. No one followed up on the many complaints and lawsuits against Gosnell. I think they didn’t want to know what was going on. One article said that even if everything he did was legal they would still be facing dead babies and traumatized women.

It’s so grisly I am almost wondering if they will decide Gosnell is insane. The baby parts in jars and the cutting of the spinal cords is so grotesque that it sounds more like the acts of a madman.

Gosnell if not insane, is definitely evil personified. The squalid conditions under which he performed his evil acts, saving body parts, etc…:(:(😦

I agree…probably doesn’t meet the definition of insane but what depravity would create such complete disregard for human life? I have read some of the witness testimony and the way he treated the women was horrendous as were the conditions. Of course that pales in comparison to what happened to the babies but the women CHOSE to come to the clinic and submitted themselves to such dreadful healthcare. It was not as if this were FREE care, many speak of having to gather thousands of dollars for these abortions.

The whole story is shocking…and yet when any restrictions or requirements are even suggested the abortion lobby starts claiming that women will resort to “back alley abortions” which in fact were not nearly as common as stated even pre-Roe. This was worse than any illegal ‘back alley’ abortion yet he seemed to have a booming business. It was said the clinic was even open Sundays to accommodate the patients.

Mainstream media is i.e. cbs, abc, nbc, New york times, Washington post. Mainstream media sources purport to be objective but the mainstream media can be as ideological as any cable or news blog online

Megan McArdle in an article titled, Why I Didn’t Write About Gosnell’s Trial–And Why I Should Have, says:

Gallup 2011 poll found 13% think the media is too conservative, 47% of people think the media is too liberal and 63% think reporters are ‘politically biased in their reporting’ compared to a 25% who disagree with that statement
There is no question that the mainstream media is biased to the left. That’s why they call abortion “abortion rights” and have this news blackout on the abortionist murder trial and news blackouts on every Pro-Life rally and why they call those who are Pro-Life “abortion foes”. A foe is an enemy. So it’s like calling us who are Pro-Life the enemy. Even Fox News uses this terminology when they have a news story about abortion. It’s only Fox News commentary that’s mostly conservative, but not their news reporting. The mainstream media is as biased as the sun is hot.

Your comments were close to the mark, my only quibble would be that the commentators
seem conservative, when compared to the progressive loons at MSNBC.
O’reilly is a moderate, Hannity is too me a GOP flack, and Glen Beck when he was on,
called himself a libertarian. Greta Van Susteren is a moderate.

The article on the 1970’s abortion experiment is particularly gruesome. I slept poorly thinking about this.😦

He was the “Back Alley abortionist” that we are all supposed to fear…yet he became a “legal abortionist”. He performed experiments on 15 poor women, 9 out of the15 were injured severely. The device he used was developed by a non medical person, who had served time for providing illegal abortions. This device was never tested prior, not even on animals. The description of the device is barbarically disturbing.

How could he have slipped through the cracks? He was not convicted or at least had his license permanently removed. He really reminds me of Dr. Mengle.

At the same time, really the only difference between him and George Tiller is location. George Tiller would kill the babies before birth by lethal injection,(digoxin to the heart) Kermit did it after birth. Same aged babies.

Gosnell Trial Witness: Baby Abortion Survivor Was ‘Swimming’ in Toilet 'Trying to Get Out’

From CNS News

On the last day of testimony before the prosecution rests in the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell, a former worker at Gosnell’s clinic testified that she saw one late-term baby who survived an abortion “swimming” in a toilet and “trying to get out.”

Kareema Cross, a “medical assistant” who worked at Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society clinic for four-and-a-half years, testified in a Philadelphia court today, telling of the horrors of babies who survived abortions only to have their necks snipped with scissors.

“Did you ever see those babies move?” asked Prosecutor Joanne Pescatore.

“Yes, once in the toilet,” said Cross.

The baby “was like swimming,” she said. “Basically, trying to get out.”

Adrienne Moton, an employee at the clinic, then took the baby and snipped the back of its neck while its mother was still in the room.

I don’t even know what to say after that.

Michelle Malkin asks a very pertinent question:
Who are Kermit Gosnell’s co-conspirators?
Planned Parenthood now says it’s “appalled” by the Philadelphia house of horrors run by accused serial baby-killer and pregnant-mom murderer Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Bull.

The appalling inaction of the nation’s largest abortion provider, along with countless other clinics and “pro-choice” groups in the know, speaks far louder than their belatedly self-serving words.

The criminal trial of Gosnell is entering week six. The death doctor faces seven counts of first-degree murder for severing the spinal cords of babies born alive during abortions. That’s in addition to one count of third-degree murder in the death of Karnamaya Mongar, a 41-year-old Bhutanese refugee who died of a monstrously negligent drug overdose at Gosnell’s “Women’s Medical Society” clinic. Her family has brought a separate civil suit against Gosnell.

Conservative and pro-life journalists have covered the gruesome case since Gosnell’s arrest more than two years ago. Through social media, last week faithful chroniclers of this evil killing spree finally forced national outlets to acknowledge their selective attention to mass murder. While mainstream journalists flogged partisan story lines about the GOP’s “war on women,” turned birth control crusader Sandra Fluke into the nation’s Florence Nightingale and splashed the photos of Sandy Hook children all over their front pages, the mostly poor and minority women and babies victimized by Gosnell went ignored.

OJ was given wall-to-wall coverage. Scott Peterson was given wall-to-wall coverage.

This trial, just based on the utilitarian “if it bleeds it leads” criteria, makes both those two cases seem like a walk in the park.

But yet it took a coordinated “denial of service” attack via Twitter to get the MSM outlets to even acknowledge the trial existed. And even now…almost nothing.
