An anonymous woman has sparked debate by asking pro-life advocates to donate $1.3 million to halt her abortion procedure

Using your logic, then you value the life of a person as just a little bit of money. Money from your excess, the scraps of your wealth.

I don’t think you thought this one through. You reacted with your typical position of playing devil’s advocate and contrarian to the extreme, even for ridiculous situations like we have here. Your game is one of muddying up the issue and trying to keep clarify from being reached, but this time it backfired on you. You have now implicated yourself. Your own logic demands you admit you value life as only the scraps of whatever wealth you may have.

I think the proper thing to do is to donate more money than she is asking for.

Then, once she has the money, hire a private investigator to find out who she is and put it up all over social media.

If we give her nothing, the pro-abortion people will say “those pro-life people are just full of hot air.” But if we give her the money (and then secretly expose her to the public) the pro Lifers will look like the good guys and the world will see her for the scum she is.

Where is the website? I want to donate.

(NOTE: My number one intention is to attempt to save the life. But I also want to expose this scum to the public. She is holding a baby for ransom and should be exposed.)
 
Money could be raised, put into a trust, and then, if a baby actually comes forth, could be given to the person who truly raises the child to adulthood. Somehow, I have my doubts if this woman, if pregnant, will agree to this proposition. If the baby is never born, the money goes immediately back to the donors. I’d be happy to donate—but, indeed, this is extortion.
 
How about this, we raise the money, but it goes to a pro-life cause. She shouldn’t get any compensation for ransoming her child. If it was really about wanting to see how much conservatives are willing to give to save the life of a child we could show her, of course all she wants is extortion money. In a sane society she’d be arrested and the child given up for adoption after she gave birth. Sadly, we don’t.
 
She could also take all the donations, even if her demands are met, and still have the abortion.

Nobody here is devaluing the life of the child. Those who refuse to give in to her demands are refusing to play her game of blackmail. She’s not getting a penny from me.

As others have mentioned, she might not even be pregnant. She may just collect all the money to “show” how gullible pro-lifers are.

Bottom line, this person is a sociopath any way you slice it.

Her letter is the cover page. I say we call her bluff by giving the child more than she’s asking, but make sure we expose her and remove her anonymity .

That’s why we expose her publicly. If we pay her, I actually see it as a win-win for the Pro-Life movement in the long term. Because it will prove that we care.

Most of the left who are for abortion say we don’t care about the kids, we are just anti woman (which is crazy).

Let’s prove that we are not the evil ones.

If you do that, set up your own GoFundMe account (or similar funding account). DON’T let her have access to it. If she turns out to be lying about the pregnancy, or has the abortion anyway, then donate the funds to pregnancy centers around the country.
 
You know what? I think we should do it.

If she is a scammer, at least we will have shown that we will put our money where our mouths are.

God does not reward us for good results. He rewards us for doing His will. Even if she does take the money and kill the baby, what better opportunity could there be to show we find a child to be priceless than to be willing to give up that which she considers of value - money?

Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar - filthy, dirty money. And give to God what belongs to God - life.

Of course, if I knew her mother’s opinion, I might have different thoughts. And I myself am not very rich. But I’d be willing to sacrifice a tenner if I could play some part in saving a child - even if it’s not this child.

I would correct one thing on there. Don’t put that you’re going to donate the money to her. Don’t EVER give her the money.

Instead, you will donate the money to a trust fund that will be set up by a reputable law firm to control it until the child turns of age. Until that time the law firm will manage the assets, pay out for necessary items for the child’s wellbeing, and will issue an annual report on said expenditures. If the child does passes away before reaching adulthood, the balance of the money will be dispensed to a variety of women’s pregnancy shelters approved by the USCCB.

NEVER let her be in charge of the money.
 
I’m confused. If this woman intends to put the baby up for adoption why does she need the money? :confused:

Who’s paying for the abortion?
