But you have no problem making the claims!
No, I don’t - because of my education and health care experience I know I’m correct.

The information is out there. I’m not your teacher or your mom. If you want to learn, go learn. If not, no need to comment and bait.

It’s possible for someone to commit suicide with full culpability and thus as a mortal sin.
I’m curious. Under what conditions would this occur? Suicide bombing? That’s pretty much the only thing I agree with. Suicide is never out of the blue.

That is the kind of research that is very speculative. I’m not disputing some value but it isn’t like chemistry research.

Okay, so all psychological research performed time and time again that shows recurrent patterns is speculative.

Right.

Same challenge I issued earlier: crack into some medical journals and do some reading. They know what they’re talking about.

And not all chemistry research is hard pat. There are thousands of medications for which we cannot clarify the pharmacokinetics nor the mechanism of action…some of them likely in your medicine cabinet right now…but we know they work.

since youre so well educated you no doubt see the logical fallacy of your post.
Since you’re so well educated I have no doubt you’ll attempt to point it out.

Always had these anger issues, or is this new? Just a question.

The whole field of psychology is speculative. No one can no what is going on inside someone else’s mind. That doesn’t mean they can’t discover patterns. It doesn’t mean it can’t be useful.

That’s not chemistry so much as biological interaction.

I can think of a couple off the top of my head:
  • Imminent painful death,
  • Imminent capture by enemy forces (and the very good likelihood of subsequent torture, especially if you yourself are an agent of the state and have knowledge of state secrets),
  • “Self-sacrifice” to bringing attention to some cause. I’m less certain about this one, but I hesitate to just assume that those who self-immolate are necessary depressed or insane.

Regrettably don’t have time for lengthy elaboration. But both despair and presumption can take place and be mortal sins. Suicide could be done on an impulse, but that it could also NOT be “out of the blue” indicates it COULD possibly also be done with full knowledge and full consent (see CCC 2091-92;

see also CCC 1854-64). Again, let us pray.

What on God’s green Earth do you think “biological interaction” (whatever that means) consists of? Are you the type of new-ager who believes “toxins” are chemicals but water is not?

I don’t care what he was dealing with but anyone who kills themselves when they are leaving behind children are despicable.

It’s not like he was too poor to go to therapy or anything. Depression is one of the most treatable diseases on the planet. But the fact is he killed himself and doing so disregarded his child. And that’s despicable. It’s one of the worst things a father can do to their child. I’ll never watch him again and I don’t want to think good of him at all. It’s disgusting.
This is EXTREMELY, offensive and insensitive to people with a mental illness. In fact, this attitude is what perpetuates the stigma of mental illness.
You should be ashamed of yourself for such thinking.

And that is what biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics are. I have a grad level course in it (pharmacology). Doesn’t make me an expert but it does impart me with a bit of knowledge on the subject.

Jeez, man.

Lithium is like the Holy Grail of psychiatric medication. It’s got one of the longest histories in the field and to this very day it’s ridiculously mysterious. Click the link, please. You don’t need to understand the science in it but do note that even to this very year there are publications on Lithium’s “mechanism of action”. That’s a fancy way of saying “how this stuff works”.

Having money and fame doesn’t make your problems go away. In fact in many ways it can be a curse. A lot of depression is really a spiritual malady. It can even be demonic. A person who rejects the Faith doesn’t have all the weapons he could use to fight it.
Oh great, more ridiculous and stigmatizing comments about mental illness. God help you.

Clinical suicide - which is what we’re discussing - is none of those things.

It means exactly what you’d think. Something interacting with something biological. Why would you think I’m a new ager?

This is actually circular reasoning. You assume one would have to be insane to does this. Why? Because only insane people kill themselves.
First off, “insane” is a legal and not a medical term. So I have no idea if only the “insane” kill themselves as I’m not a lawyer nor a judge.

Secondly - it’s not circular reasoning as clinical suicide - again, this is the ACTUAL discussion - isn’t done by mentally healthy people.

Because pharmacokinetics is chemistry in motion, that’s why.

What kinds of reactions do you think “biological” reactions are?

Hint: they’re chemical.

I appreciated how he traveled to different countries and experienced their culture through food. I thought he was hot. He was a silver Fox. I liked his swag.
