Remember the ole’ “screams from Hell” tale?
Scientists drilling in Siberia went too far and ended up punching a hole through to Hell, where the screams of the damned drifted up to them. Turned out it was a Weekly World News article. But, ah…what did PT Barnum say once?
About thirteen years ago I heard a preacher cite this story. After the service I told him “you know that story is lie…right?” He said, “Oh yeah, I know. But if it gets people to accept Jesus, who cares if it’s a lie”.
I actually remember this. There was even an alleged recording of the screams from hell they’d heard there, and Art Bell played it on his radio show.

Hi everyone, I want to talk to you about something…

Online, I saw the “testimony” of “Angelica Zambrano” a Protestant girl who claimed to have a “Near Death Experience” in which she saw people (relatives and celebrities) and one of them was Pope John Paul II

There was another testimony by a girl named ''Janet Balderas Canela" another Protestant girl who saw a vision of Mary commanding Catholics not to “worship” her, saying she can’t save them and stuff like that.

I don’t what to make of this honestly, what is your opinion on this?
I agree that Mary should not be worshiped, but she (Mary) never told me that in a manifestation because she never appeared to me. The Catholic church told me that Mary is not to be worshiped through adoration! Mary is venerated and at times the Catholic church has tried to down play Mary but she keeps appearing to people so they hold her close in their hearts. This Octave Jan 1st 2012, my priest in the Homily said something that really put things in perspective. He said, Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ, and we do this with our family because we want to be with the people we love on special and momentous occasions. He added, that’s why we as Catholics welcome Mary into our thoughts and hearts to join us as our family in celebrating the birth of her son. I mean think about it! We can’t have a huge birthday party for Jesus and not invite the mother into our thoughts–how?

The Catholic church has down played Mary because some individuals cannot separate veneration from adoration in their comprehensive mind. The act of one from the other cannot be distinguished to them by their ability to articulate or explain. Basically they are simply praying the best they can.

The truth is Mary does appear, and if you believe Mary appeared to this woman to say not to worship her, you must admit that her appearance itself was amazing and life changing to the person she appeared to. If Mary appeared to this person then we can believe she may have appeared before. Further in Manifestations of Mary she sometimes speaks but has never asked to be worshiped or called divine. In fact Mary has not a single quoted spoken verse in Matthew or Mark. If anything Mary is utterly unimportant in her actions and voice. I guess that’s what made her such a great mother and so loved by us. We see this manifestation is in constant consistency and correct with what we know of Mary’s appearances. Maybe this person was asking mary if she should be worship or maybe this person was worshiping mary, or maybe they were in spiritual crisis and need a clear answer on this question. But the truth is that we already knew this answer as catholics.

As for death experience, I’m sure such an experience is meant for the person who experiences the vision and the meaning is meant for them.

Well here is one thing, why would the Blessed Mother say something that is not true? Makes no sense does it.

You have to go back to using common sense in this world. I think many people either don’t have it anymore or just don’t use it.

Catholic’s don’t worship anyone but ONE GOD. We pray and ask the Blessed Mother to pray for us, but where has the Church every taught to worship her. They have NOT.

I am the Lord your God you shall have no gods before me. The Catholic Church has never taught to break the commandments of God, Not ever.

So go back to using the common sense God gave you, learn your faith, and stick up for your faith. Thats the best weapon.

There is only one testimony that you need to worry about. And thats the word of God.😃

God alone should be worshipped. The bible says there is one mediator between man and god, thats christ jesus. God alone…there is no other example anywhere in the bible that promotes prayers to anyone but God. That includes moses and abraham. God will not share his praises. Even angel arent to be worshipped. So you should not pray to mary or any saints. Thats about as biblical as u can get. i am protestant but we are under 1 Christ. God bless everyone.

If Pope John Paul II is in hell then I don’t have a chance of making it to heaven. Supposedly, Jesus told her that Pope John Paul II didn’t enter heaven because, "Daughter, no fornicator, no idolater, no one who is greedy and no liar will inherit My Kingdom… and Yes, Daughter, he may have said many things, but he would never speak the truth as it is. He never said the truth and they know the truth and although he knew the truth, he preferred money over preaching about salvation. He would not offer reality; would not say that hell is real and that heaven also exists; Daughter, now he is here in this place.

So silly…Pope John Paul II did more for the world than most folks; he brought so many people back to God. Jesus supposedly calling the Pope a fornicator, idolater, a liar who is greedy…She might have had a vision but it was not God.

Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light… 2 Corinthians

Jesus’ vicar, Peter’s successor on earth, never speaks the truth…

She then says: “He would not offer reality; would not say that hell is real and that heaven also exists.” Some ting in her NDE lied to her.

In his 1994 book, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, Pope John Paul II wrote that too often “preachers, catechists, teachers . . . no longer have the courage to preach the threat of hell” (p. 183). Concerning the reality of hell, he said, the words of Christ are unequivocal. In Matthew’s Gospel he speaks clearly of those who will go to eternal punishment Matt. 25:46 He then said: “But who will these be? The Church has never made any pronouncement in this regard” (pp. 185–6).

That is a very catholic thing to say…👍

Supposedly the blessed Mary said “Why are you worshiping me? Why, if I do not have any power! Why are you worshiping me? ** I do not do anything!** Do not worship me! Do not bow before me! For I cannot save you! The only one that can save, the only one that can redeem you is Jesus, who died for all mankind! Many people say that I have power, that I can perform miracles, but that is a lie! ** I do not do anything!** Almighty God was satisfied with me and He used my womb so that Jesus could be born and save everyone, but I don’t have any power. ** I cannot do anything!** Do not bow before me! Do not worship me! For I am not worthy of worship. The only one that is worthy, the only one that you bow before and adore is Jesus! He is the only one that heals and saves!”

Mary would never say this for 2 reasons:
  1. Mary is familiar with the teachings of her Son’s church which does not include worshipping her. Silly…
  2. Mary can do absolutely nothing…? What about all those miraculous Marian apparitions e.g. Fatima, and of course her power to do so comes from the source - her Son. If she can do nothing then why has she done so much???

She and her church call the rosary a prayer that Jesus dislikes which is why Jesus will not listen to Rosary-related prayers! WOAH!:eek::eek:Is that not proof enough that this poor girl was duped. That sounds like something the devil would say. 🤷

Angelica also said that the Blessed Virgin Mary has no idea what is going on here on earth? I feel sorry for her…I believe she is being manipulated by whoever she saw in her NDE. We should all pray for her!!!

God alone should be worshipped. The bible says there is one mediator between man and god, thats christ jesus.
This is exactly what the Catholic Church teaches 100%. Your definition of “prayer” is too narrow and not biblical. Prayer does not always mean worship. Please quote me chapter and verse that says “prayer is always worship.”
Even angel arent to be worshipped.
The Catholic Church agrees 100%.
So you should not pray to mary or any saints. Thats about as biblical as u can get.
This is not true and not biblical. Pray means to ask. Maybe you shouldn’t pray (ask) that your neighbor pray for you? Of course we see many examples of people praying (asking) to their neighbors in the bible. Here are just two:
KJV - Luke 14:18 18And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I “pray” thee have me excused.
KJV - Acts 27:34 Wherefore I “pray” you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

God bless.

Much of what you say is true. However, when Catholics pray to Mary, or any of the saints, we are not worshipping them. We are asking them to present our petitions to God, in addition to our own prayers to God. Especially prayers to Mary are effective, as Jesus never could say no to His mother. Protestants ask others to pray for them. Why? Isn’t just asking God on their own enough, or maybe they think a group could be more effective in petitioning God’s favor? Give it some thought. I think you’ll understand why Catholics ask those with God to help in asking for favors.

I’m skeptical.

I’m slowly starting to accept Catholicism again, since I was knocked off my feet by a bunch of evangelicals and baptists. But being knocked on my feet also kicked in my OCD and ADHD, and led to excessive torment that I cannot escape.

I’m skeptical.
Me, too, big time. I think the best thing we can do is take time out of our day and pray for her and her family, as well her followers. The idea that Jesus would specifically discuss the fate of celebrities e.g. Selena Quintanilla-Perez and Michael Jackson, seems kind of silly. She even goes so far as to claim that their songs are evil and can lead souls to hell, and that’s just ridiculous in my humble opinion.

She speaks of a time (post “rapture”) when the Holy Spirit (God) will no longer be present, therefore those “left behind” on earth will have no hope…There are so many other aspects that seem very untenable.

Jews and Muslims believe this too, however without Jesus as mediator. But Catholics are not praying to Mary or the other saints as if they are G-d; they are asking for the intercessory prayers of the saints to G-d. There is a difference.

So, just Jesus and no protestant pastors/ministers, when it comes to prayer, guidance and teaching?
God will not share his praises. Even angel arent to be worshipped.
The catholic church was teaching this obvious fact long before any protestant church surfaced. 👍

So, I can ask you to pray for me, but I cannot ask those souls in heaven, who are perfectly conformed to God’s will, (who are now like the angels, as per scripture) - to pray for me? If that is what you believe, so be it…🤷

It would be interesting to read about the scrutiny these girls were put thru by their pastors/leaders.

I think it a shame that so many Latinos/as leave the church, so often they fall in with emotionalistic sensationalistic pentecostal sects with ill educated preachers.

That seems to be the case here.
