It’s Canada, the land of Justin Trudeau, what do you expect?

Canada is very far left of center. They even have laws up there where the State can take away your child if they want to be transgender and the parents refuse.

Canada is a cesspool of liberalism right now and you could not pay me enough money to live up there.

If he would be “offended” by the behavior of the gay and lesbian people, he could tell them in no uncertain terms and give them a stern warning to “behave, or else!”. But he does not.

If God wants something, it will happen. If God does not want something, it will not happen. If God allows something, then he neither wants it to happen, nor does not want it not to happen - he stays neutral.

Yes, to have homosexual inclinations and to act on them is perfectly normal and natural. And it is none of your business. Yes, it is understood that you wish to act in his best interest. But you are not your brother’s keeper. 😉
I don’t know if you are Catholic or not, but but you are wrong, none of the things I quoted from you are based on Catholic teaching.

To tell your brother (actual or virtual) that he is “disordered”, is a very rude and insulting expression. If you think that he needs your help, then pray for him, quietly and in your privacy. If that was in respect to my post, I never told my brother he was disordered. In fact, I was never anything but polite & welcoming to his partner. I chose not to dwell on the fact that he is gay.

He happened to read a news article on Facebook and saw that I had responded to someone who criticized Catholics, My response was that we should be free to believe what the Church teaches. He hates the Church and took offense.

No, the nature of these parades is for people who are hated, reviled, bullied, tormented, discriminated against to have one festival where they can not worry about being treated as a leper.
@theCardinalbird from some pictures I saw of the last Canadian pride parades there were naked folks walking down the street - with children in the mix. If I’m not mistaken some of the Canadian pride festivals do push some strange limits. I’m pretty sure a “victimization” only assertion is very reductive -hence false by exageration, however well intended- although it does make for a strong rhetorical argument.

There are plenty of things wrong in several aspects of pride parades. Including the exaltation of sensuality, the promotion of promiscuity, and the commercial advertisement of venues catering to a culture of pick-ups if not prostitution. I’m pretty sure the list could go on, if we took an empirical look at what really happens at a pride parade…

😦🥺😥😞😵
Don’t feel bad about it @theCardinalbird. I was in northern Spain recently and an elderly gentleman commented there’s been a new trend in recent years of fathers taking their little girls into the men’s changing room…At which point those that still have some common sense and decency complained they don’t feel comfortable with minors (or any stranger of the opposite gender for that matter) seeing them naked - and demanded management take immediate concrete measures.

It seems modern society has lost a significant part of its basic common sense these last couple of decades. When even the most basic elementary notions are called into question by a significant majority.

It does sound quite disturbing

The first part was deemed out-of-topic, so I deleted it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

According to your post, he read something on FB and asked you if you thought he was “disordered”. Since the Catholic view is that homosexual actions are “disordered” and you agreed with the Catholic view, it seems that he found your answer hurtful. You don’t always have to spell out exactly what you mean, people can read between the lines - so to speak.

Wow!

Public nudity is against the law in the US, and if children were involved with nude adults, the police would shut it down (police are at every parade) CPS would be there in mere moments

Whether something is explicit catholic teaching, or is the logical corollary of the teachings - is not relevant. If God would be “offended” by our behavior, he could tell us directly, and does not have to resort to using “fallible” human beings to convey his views.
This means we can continue to do what we are already doing.

Indeed, as far as God is concerned. As far as humans are concerned, not really. When we have the knowledge and the power to reward good deeds, we do. When we have the knowledge and the power to punish bad deeds, we do. We are in constant feedback loop with our environment and other human beings. And since I trust God be at least as rational as we are, his actions (or lack of them) indicate a tacit approval of our deeds. I don’t agree with this state of affairs, but who am I to question God?

Your complaints are somewhat self refuted then.

The mentality of the “poor baby syndrom”, ’ you hurt my feelings and don’t do that, because you have no right to tell me about the ten commandments and tell me I am offending God.
Those parades are offensive to anyone who is trying to live a virtuous life.

Start another post regarding your
particular views on how you think God thinks…this is about the offensive parades that a priest warned his community not to go to. Your off the topic.

Off the topic…please stay with the topic. Start your own topic on your particular view on God’s permissive will etc.
