See the thing is you have so many studies and experts on both sides with contradictory facts.
Actually, not so much. They are almost universal in the recommendations for social distancing and wearing masks. There are no “sides,” except what some politicians have bizarrely tried to create.

See the thing is you have so many studies and experts on both sides with contradictory facts. Either both sides are wrong, one side is right ir the other is right. There are no other logical options. And if you look the SCIENCE isn’t settled.
I’ve already posted an article with a study which showed that the fact the protests were outdoors and that there was heavy mask use limited the spread of the virus. I can site many more articles with studies if need be.

Now are you able to provide a study showing masks don’t help?

Universal smuniversal…there you go again THE SCIENCE IS DECIDED. Now bow bow down to my god SCIENCE!

Use google…you can find just as many UNIVERSAL studies that show they aren’t effective.

I’m out

Actually, no you can’t. The ones that said that have largely been discredited and withdrawn from the journals in which they appeared.

If you can present to me a study that counters common thinking as to masks in preventng COVID spread I’d look at it. The fact that you are incapable of providing a single reference makes me believe such a study doesn’t exist.

I can’t do your homework for you.

I can. But I’m done banging my against a wall and expecting a different result with people who think covid is a death sentence.

Good. Bye.

Turning off my phone. Not replying.

I’ve known several people who died from Covid, and not all elderly. I also know someone in his 20s who spent weeks on a ventilator. This isn’t the flu. It’s currently the sixth leading cause of death in America and is likely to be the third by December.

My favorite episodes of Perry Mason were always the ones where the prosecution would rest, the judge would ask Perry to present the defense of his client, then he’d shout, “So you think this case is already settled?! I’m not going to present a case when you can figure out why he’s innocent!” After that Perry Mason would storm out of the courtroom and not be seen again.

The issue isn’t how full the place was. The issue is how full a place, by comparison, Joe Biden can draw.

–Joe can never have such a rally, for the same reason Hillary couldn’t: No one is really all that wild about him. Even here - considering how anti-Trump many posters are - support for Joe is very tepid.

–Terry McAuliffe has said Joe’s strategy is to essentially not leave his house, let alone say much (apparently to avoid his gaffes and looking like the doddering old man he is). Having just watched Trump on TV, his energy is like 1000% more than Joe Biden. Further, FWIW, Joe’s strategy is exactly the same as Thomas Dewey in 1948, and we saw how that worked for Tom (against a very beatable president, too, who Dewey always outpolled, often by large margins, except on election day).

–COVID is a dodge for Joe - he (or at least his handlers) knows how poorly he speaks and how old he looks, so “Team Joe” will assiduously avoid rallies, including by blaming covid for why these can’t be held.

So the “phone booth” cracks might be enjoyable to your side, but they really impress no one.

If so-called experts are sometimes wrong and deceitful, among other things, you can be sure that “non-experts” are worse across the board. I’ll take the former.

BTW, Dr. Fauci is neither silly nor hysterical. He has the credentials and background in infectious diseases which are quite impressive. His biggest mistake was volunteering to work with Mike Pence (and Donald Trump) on the Coronavirus Task Force, because working alongside Trump, virtually no one wins in the end.

Feel free to trust whatever Fauci says. Me? I can do better. We all can. Fauci has - as Rand Paul noted when he questioned Fauci - been wrong more than he’s ever been right about COVID (he first said COVID was nothing to worry about; then we didn’t need masks; etc.), and that was before his brazen dishonesty about masks. Why on earth would you defend that?

And that says nothing about his hysterical - yes, hysterical - comments on AIDS years ago.

Fauci is to disease what Joe Biden is to politics: Few in their respective fields have ever been wrong about as many things, for so many years, as both of them.
