WOW! I love yur sig file and, well, it is accurate!! WOO HOO! I love being Catholic! "_

Yes. 🙂 Anyone that pulls people away from Christ can recieve their reward just as fast as those that bring in new people to Christs true and correct teachings in the Catholic Church.

So, you say protestants are your Christian brothers and sisters, even though you spend a great deal of your time writing about how they are wrong in their beliefs, but they aren’t Christians if they try and “convert” catholics (a dumb idea, I think.) That makes no sense. Which is it, Jimmy? Either we are Christian brothers and sisters or not. How can you consider us as such up until the point that someone might “lead” a catholic to becoming a protestant? That makes no sense. Can you not just come out and say that you think protestants aren’t Christians cause that is what so many of your threada and posts imply?

Men must be born again to return to the presence of God, they must be born of water and of the Spirit. Without baptism (immersion) by one having authority one can not be born again. This is completed when they actually recieve the companionship of the holy ghost, becoming new creatures by the cleansing power of that member of the Godhead. Mere compliance with the formality of baptism and the laying on of hands to confer the Holy Ghost do not of themselves guarantee that a person has been or will be born again. the new birth takes place only for those who actually enjoy the gift or companionship of the holy ghost, only for those who are fully converted, who have given themselves without restraint to the lord.

I’ve been thinking about this again, I say at least the Catholics who left to be Protestants are in Danger of Hell, at this point they would be in Formal Hersey assuming they understood what being Catholic meant and what leaving the Truth meant.

The one who pulled them away, most likely not. A long stay in purgatory though.

Once again, completely ignoring the verses I provided.
Why don’t you completely ignore the fact that you are wrong huh?
The protestants broke away from the Catholic church because it didn’t want to believe in doctrines that Christ handed down so, who is against Christ?..lol

there is a special crown in heaven for Protestants who convert Catholics to the real gospel of Jesus Christ!😉

I am one of those converts! Praise God and much thanks to my priests Fr. Andrew and Mtr. Summer for their help and support.

And any one that believes that we will all walk around on clouds (or streets of Gold) wearing metal rings with shiney rocks it them, some having special metal rings on their heads with special shiney rocks, has meal inside their heads. These are analogies given to the uneducated to get them excited.

I was a Mormon and left for our wonderful Church. Bering Catholic is great and a good thing! 🙂

The Bible makes no mention of the Trinity or Sunday worship, do you deny those too?
The Bible is a roadmap that we all use towards the desired end. The Literalists don’t see “No Left Turn on Red” nor Hamburgers in the Bible either. Yet they follow it.

The idea that if the Bible does not say it, or the Bible says EVERYTHING, is a weak and limp argument. I think God / Jesus want us to use our own brain and make decisions within the guidlines / perameters set by God as shared in the Bible. An automoton is of no use.

I am going to go eat some oatmeal. OOOOPS! God does not attend to that either.

Don in Las Vegas…:), and you are not.

I’ll share my view. I feel Protestants are Christians in that they believe in Christ, yet, IMHO, and speaking for myself only, Protestants are missguided. They have lost so much from the Original Church. Protestants were formed in Protest against the Catholic Church. (which frankly the Church kinda brought upon themself with their way to heavy handed views of the Middle Ages).
Protestants are Christians and our brothers, yet very missguided.
See, :), we do have a feeling in common about the other 🙂 hahahaha:thumbsup: 😉

Jimmy the more topics you make the more you seem to come across as a Protestant-Hater, but hey, thats the new fad I think, so good luck with that.

Well, it depends. I do not think a Protestant goes to hell for being one, I also don’t believe anyone goes to hell for being a certain religious group, I think they go to hell for going against Christ on purpose. If I sin, thats bad, but if I sin on purpose, then thats really bad.

I think it all depends on what you believe and how your relationship with Christ is, not on your church affiliation.

Second and third paragraphs only,…very well put.
The affiliation part I have an issue with, but I enjoy the Christlike tone you have in your wonderful message. 🙂

Don, I appreciate the decent way that you told me how you felt. I don’t think catholics are right all the time, but I certainly don’t think they are wrong all the time either. It makes no sense, and it causes nothing but division for either of us to accuse the other of such.

The funny thing is, I think we are a bit misguided too because we have lost a lot from the early church. Wait a minute, Don. Did we just agree to disagree in an amicable way?
