hi, freesoul,
I havenāt followed the whole thread, but to leave behind questions of aliens, I think it is more worthwhile to look at the Book of Revelation in a deeply spiritual and mystic way, analyzing Salvation History and especially the Church age from a deeply liturgical and Catholic view. toward that end, Iām just throwing this out, you might read this long article I wrote on the Seal and the Mark, and how there can be an idealistic journey from full Catholic (Seal of God) to full Apostate (Mark of the Beast). Itās long, but itās good. I am confident youāll find it a refreshing alternative to the two extremes today: chiliastic futurism and amillennial preterism.

If it hasnāt already been mentioned, Scott Hahnās tape set, āThe Endā is a good understanding from the Literal Sense.
His equally good book and tape set, āThe Lambās Supperā are a good understanding from the Spiritual Sense. Also, Michael Barberās āComing Soonā is a verse by verse explanation from the Spiritual Sense as well.

I suppose there are whole libraries devoted to the last book of the Bible, and other whole libraries filled with books discussing Genesis, too.
Our Lord said that some of these things are known only by the Father. Anything we mortals think or believe in this regard is speculation.

Im an avarage Joe but the explanation of my bible says that from chapter 4 to 11 the book of revelation is depicting and describignt eh woes that happened to the jews because of leavign their alliance with God and notaccepting Jesus as his Mesiah. the roman empire persecuted them adn teh jews were almsot vanished from the earth , all the woes that are in the deutronomius about the woes of Israel if they will abondone the alliacne with God was a fact 30 eyars after teh death of Jesus.

"When you see the desolating abomination spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
the desolating abomination in my bible means the foreign idol,
about 30 eyars after Jesus death acention the Cesar wanted to eb workshopped as a God so he ordered every temple sinagoge and every palce to have his image. this is what Mathhew 24 is about Jesus predicted that from happening.
Its how Israel broke his alliance with God historians say that almost all the jewish race was vanish , women ate their children and many othe woes they were so awful that they wotn happen again.

2. and when the Mesiah will come for second time
in this chapter one must differ form the 2th comming of the messiah and the destroction of the temple.
