Hello Stu,Well I think your view is as straight forward as you thought. It’s just that to myself, and I think others here, the reward of heaven is just being close to God rather than the carnal and primal rewards you describe. And while I agree He would give us anything we could want, what could I possibly desire that would compare to just being with Him? Nothing.
Yes I agree with you. What COULD be more desireable then being with God? Nothing. But many simpler people dont understand this concept nor care about it. Hence the verses describing the lesser pleasures of Heaven.
