** Belief, belief, belief. That is not enough. It has to be rational. Otherwise the pagans also believe in somethings. So they worship the idols. I am ready to along with you for all your good and sound beliefs. But if I find something wrong then please, I am sorry. I would not follow you**.
How rational are you really? Questioning the divinity of Jesus Christ, or deceived by a mere man Muhammed? If you are not capable of reading and understanding what is in the Bible, how can you be rational in dealing with it? How rational can you be to be deceived by an illiterate person? Besides, what is in the Quran really that it can be called the words of God? The hate? Contradiction? Wrong story? Duplication? What is it really that has the Quran? The Quran is a short so called revelation, very short. One letter of Paul can best describe God than the whole Quran! Get that?
** I think you are not right. I will believe what I find to be right. You will believe what you find to be right. There is no harm in my telling you what I believe because you are also permitted to make your beliefs known to every one peacefully.**
Of course the problem in our belief is because of the truth. What harm? There is no harm at all. I am offering you the salvation of God through believing the One who was sent down and declared He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life. What else can you not understand? You claimed to believe in the four Gospels, then read it carefully and understand.
Muhamamd never dsicreditted the bible or Torah. He gave support to the bible.
Of course He does, if not He would not let the people of the Book slaughtered after praising them. What kind of a prophet is that?
Could you disregard the bible and rely on your intellect alone? I hope not. Of course Muhammd could not be openly mentioned in the bible. Same as Jesus was not mentioned in the Torah openly.
This shows you are not rational in your response here. I think what you mean here is that, our intellect will never know the truth without the Bible. Am I right? What you are trying to rationalized I guess is about knowledge. Yes Planten, you can not rationalize without knowledge. Proof, facts, evidences, comprises the knowledge so one can rationalize. This is why we have the Old and New testaments to prove to you that based on its story the truth is revealed. And that is why we can not believe in Muhammed because his works is full of errors, revealing his motive in his own period of time. His works are not in sync with the truth! Get that?
On the other hand, you have the life of Jesus Christ, who even your prophet conceded to have been born by the Virgin without a natural father. Then you say you believe in the four gospels where you can read the works of Jesus Christ supported by His mighty miracles and seen by many witnesses. When did Muhammed did that? All he did was to deceive, or scare his people into submission.
**You have different kinds of angels and also different kinds (list) of your own choice prophets. You do not believe in all the prophets of God. You seem to know the characteristics of the angels, maybe you can count their wings too. I believe in your angels. You do not believe in our angels. Very good going. I accept your stand. Keep it. **
As I told you, first of all we can not believe the accounts of Muhammed because it is not what he says it is. Our faith is only where the truth lies, that means, the Holy Scriptures, and of course the oral traditions that was passed on by the early fathers up to this point. Muhammed is not a prophet anyway.
If Muhammad was not supported by the bible then we know that Muhammad supported the bible as true book given to Jesus which the followers could not preserve..
Jesus fulfilled the prophesies in the Old testament. Then the New testaments were written because of Him. So, how can you say that a true book given to Jesus? Which one was preserved? If you are referring to the original text, yes, you are right, muslim invaders burned them. However, true copies were preserved, not orallly like the followers of Muhammed, and then when the caliphs were not satisfied, they changed them according to their desires.
** It is good to believe and support the truth and I am trying to do that. Thanks. I am trying to look for any truth in the teachings of the Catholics.**
