You don’t know much about Franco I see
I know enough about fascism.

What happened to Asher’s bakery is just a small taste of the fascism this Gender Theory and much wider agenda is after. First they have to take over the Schools as the Nazi’s and Communist’s did, but this time with Gender Theory indoctrination, which they are currently in the process of doing.
I think the most you know about Fascism is how to spell it. Fascism is a fundamentally conservative form of dictatorship, and fascist regimes have always aligned themselves with conservative and aristocratic elements in the nations they take root in.

Clever, hope that quip didn’t take you too long to think up. I’m not offended being insulted by people who can’t even tell the difference between men and women, who deny basic biology and then attempt to force their delusions onto the rest of society.

Note: Nothing wrong with this post, quite telling that posters flagged it, I guess I will wait and see the moderators response.

Gay “marriages” = no kids.
No, it doesn’t. Some gay people do willfully engage in reproduction. Sometimes one partner or the other engages, or both. Sometimes they also adopt.
Only a small percentage of gay couples go that route.
Any non-zero percentage is sufficient to show that gay marriage doesn’t mean no children. If you want to say that gay people have less children then I’ve got no objections.

Same-Sex Marriage does not have a one to one relationship with heterosexual marriage.

Fair enough, though I suspect we’re coming close to just splitting hairs.

My Diocese newsletter has a page on clergy responses to the Yes vote. I will post them tomorrow if anyone is interested

Indeed.

Regrettably not all clergy advocated no. Keep an eye out for any follow up from those who advocated yes, eg. Fr Frank Brennan.

From the release by Archbishop Anthony Fischer:
"But I am heartened that millions of Australians still stand by the conviction that marriage is a unique relationship between a man and woman. In fact, only 48% of eligible voters voted Yes to redefining marriage in law."

So less than half of eligible voters voted. 52% of eligible voters did not vote. You are compulsed to vote in Australian elections, but the same-sex marriage vote didn’t fall under that.

No, you misunderstand the stats. About 80% of eligible voters ‘voted’, about 61% of those voted yes.

Elections are compulsory in Australia, but the SSM matter was addressed by way of a survey conducted by the ‘bureau of stats’ and was not compulsory.

The younger generation is the first where homosexuals aren’t demonized. If they aren’t demonized than they are seen as people and it makes arguments against homosexual marriage much more difficult to win.

There are plenty of people, non-Catholics and Catholics, who don’t demonise homosexuals, who view homosexuals as people that deserve dignity and respect, but who don’t see same-sex marriage as a legitimate form of marriage and/or oppose same-sex marriage.

Yes, but you won’t get majorities against gay marriage if the homosexuals aren’t demonized.

Personally, I’m juat glad this whole thing is almost over. Only a few countries left and the progressive dream will be fulfilled…

…There is nothing further, as far as human rights go, for the left to rally for. We will be at peace.

So are you saying that Homosexuals themselves should be demonized?
No, I’m saying that issues like gay marriages will be approved by the majority of people unless homosexuals are demonized.
