God Bless - JKAs well the Council should have since the reformation brought into being errors and heresies that had not existed before. The Council of Trent denounced every single doctrine that was proposed by the Protestant Reformers. It declared that any person who believes even one of these doctrines is “anathema." Where does that leave a Protestant? It leaves them “anathema” because of their non beliefs of the Catholic traditions and "anathema because of their Protestant beliefs. There were 125 anathema’s decreed at Trent, most of which were directed at the Reformers. In every case, the Reformed beliefs would send the believer to Hell because of the decree. These people are considered outside the church and therefore, outside of salvation because of there beliefs. I am quite sure you and I would both agree that this is what Trent stated so I will go on.
According to “The Catholic Encyclopedia,” the word “anathema” means “cursed and devoted to destruction”. When the Roman Catholic Church anathematizes someone, it officially declares that the person is condemned to hell. A link to this is below.

The fundamental errors of Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide were (and still are to this day) the reformation’s basis. They are gross misinterpretations of what the Word of God says and contrary to what the Bible and the Church has taught for 2,000 years.
Outside the Church there is no salvation
In light of those gross errors from which all the other post reformation errors cascade, the Church was correct to condemn them.
As for Baptists not praying with or shunning Catholics…it depends upon the Baptist that you are talking with at the time. Few pay all that much attention to their own conventions.
