Catholicism is not a left.or right wing religion…it is the church of Jesus Christ. I don’t think it’s all good in American politics…I wouldn’t say that…what I am saying is that all of this division within the church is evil and it’s splitting it in two. I’m notnsaying I’m a democrat. I’m saying to stop calling democrats evil…they are not.
You say you have a feeling in your gut that Obama is decent, despite the fact that he is more pro-abortion than NARAL is.

And you are upset because we are saying that those who support the so-called right of women to kill their unborn children and who support allowing those babies who survive to die alone and without care cannot be called decent?

And you are exagerrating this to be calling Democrats evil?
Obama doesn’t cause abortions, fear, lack of faith, ignorance and evil do. Those things live on both side of the political parties…stop being so angry and go back to what makes us Catholics:charity, love compassion, servitude to God. That is what I’m promoting…that is literally all I’m promoting.
What actions do you advise people to take?

I’m saying that no one is pro abortion…but this thread…the malice between us…here in the church is what’s causing abortions…the argumentation in the church is causing abortions…the democratic party…the republican party…these are small potatoes in the eyes of god. Nothing…mere toys that men play with…I’m telling you that every. Single. Individual…should ALWAYS feel welcomed by the church…that is my advice. Because that’s what Jesus did. Everyone is welcomed. Does ANYBODY else hear what I’m saying?

He completely supports an atmosphere that encourages the legality of murdering a child in the womb…at any stage. That is evil.
Evil is the idea that you think that atmosphere can be stomped out by simply casting a ballot. That idea is evil…because it glazes over your hearts eyes and makes you cold and mean hearted to your brother…evil is the idea that you think hating Obama will save children’s lives…and that anyone who disagrees with you is automatically evil too…THAT is evil.

Who is making any person “feel” subhuman?

I do not understand? Being decent should mean not supporting seriously evil things. How much evil may we support and still think we are “decent”?
…no, being decent means being decent…it just is. It’s written on our hearts. I learned what it was and why by the church. I love this church…and so I’ll take a million people calling me wrong…my spirit and soul say that having hatred towards democrats or liberals or anyone, is wrong and selfish. That’s what the holy spirit is telling me.it truly truly is…I’m sorry it makes you guys so angry.

I do. I hope it matters in the great scheme of things.

On the bright side, it may just be ignorance. Abortion is evil. Supporting it is more often ignorance, no matter how invincible or unintentional. That is why we are called to instruct the ignorant.

I here what you are saying you are saying" I vote Democrat"

I do. I hope it matters in the great scheme of things.
What is going on?..this is really hurting…I’m not even speaking out FOR republicans or democrats…I’m just saying stop the back handed smug atmosphere…I’m saying to stop acting like I’m your enemy…do you get what I’m saying?

I here what you are saying you are saying" I vote Democrat"
I am not. I am not saying that. And even if I did. You will open your arms for me. You will embrace me. You are to be an example. You think I will go ANYWHERE? You are wrong. I embrace you. I love you. I love you.

Everyone is welcome in the Chuch and on CAF. That said, everyone is called to holiness…to avoid sin. The Church teaches that we are to instruct the ignorant. If that instruction causes them to feel unwelcome, what are we to do? Should we stop speaking the Truth?

When it comes to charity, we all need to work on it, but I think you are conflating charity with speaking the Truth. I am not responsible for someone “feeling unwelcome” who believes that women should have a choice to kill her innocent, unborn child and is called out for it. Jesus welcomed people, and He told them to “sin no more.” He didn’t welcome the sinner and say “just keep doing what you’re doing.”

This past weekend a nephew of mine was ordained to the priesthood. Cardinal Wuerl, four bishops and 117 Catholic priests attended along with about 1000 other friends and family.

The Cardinal’s homily included a strong mention of the fact that these were very challenging times to begin the journey into priesthood. He said the secular attack on religious freedom has grown to the point that we cannot just sit back and hope and pray for our churches to remain true to God’s teachings. He said we, as Catholics must stand and be actively counted in support of our faith.

Now, as to the topic of this thread. The Cardinal did not say go out and support republicans but it is not the republicans who are pressing for a healthcare mandate that would force our church to choose to either support sin or no longer continue to operate in compliance with it’s own teachings. It is not the republicans who have pro-choice as part of their platform. It is not the republicans who have a leader who supports men marrying men and women marrying women.

I am not a republican. I am a Christian first and a political independent second. I will never support a national democrat politician. I will not stay home on election day. Therefore, anyone who offers resistance to the secular juggernaut promoted by the democrat party will get my vote.

Peace

Women already have that choice. They always have. I shouldn’t feel unwelcome for speaking that truth. Because it is infact the truth. They’ve always had it…ALWAYS…it’s ignorant for you or anyone on here to blind themselves to that truth…

The real uncharitable post here is YOU saying that people are hating. The real uncharitable post here is YOU judging that people’s hearts and eyes are glazed over.

Abortion is evil. Those who vote for politicians who support this intrisincally evil act…have cast a vote for evil. It will be very difficult when they face the feasome judgement seat of Christ one day and attempt to explain why they supported the murder of the child in the womb.

Yeah, and man always have the choice to rape women, and young people always have the choice to kill those from whom they will inherit–should we get rid of laws against rape and murder of those already born as well?

Just because people *can *do something doesn’t mean that society should not do what it can to *prevent *that from happening.

Did you read the article I linked? They said they lied about the numbers of women getting abortion ten-fold. They lied about the numbers of women harmed by abortion.

Guess what? Within a few years of abortion’s being legal throughout the land, the numbers of abortions were beyond their lies! Legalizing abortion was supposed, somehow, to reduce abortion, but it instead grew to horrific proportions. Abortion providers lied to potential “clients,” telling them that there was no baby, just a clump of cells.

So, when abortion was illegal, fewer abortions were procured. When abortion was legalized, the numbers jumped.

We aren’t blinded to the obvious truth that choosing to abort is a legal choice. We are well aware. Liberals are either ignorant or evil, when they believe such a choice should be legal. Any other time in history, when a nation determined a certain segment was sub-human and legally allowed the killing of that sub-group, we rightly called that evil.

A false sense of compassion apparently allows you to give women the option to kill unborn children.

Btw…does that statement make you feel “unwelcome?” I certainly hope not. I’m glad you are here. It should, however, make you uncomfortable.

Using ones head too much is what makes people turn atheistic because they want to only believe what they see…look beyond what you see…let the holy spirit guide you in your decisions…don’t let fear take the wheel of your.mind and reject me. I too am a catholic…I too take the body and blood. Have no malice towards me.we are brothers. Jesus wouldn’t want anything to do with either party. Because we follow the laws of God not man. I don’t care what laws are passed I follow my gut, heart, brain, and spirit, these are the gifts of God…not America.
I have not malice towards you; I have malice towards the evil ideas you seem to be promoting.

And btw, the Catholic Church teaches that we are to use our heads, use our reason. We are not supposed to be uneducated people who rely on their feeeelings or on what they think they hear from the Holy Spirit, which if it goes against the teachings of the Church is *not *from the Holy Spirit.

The murderer of children in the womb is evil…not barrack Obama. And I will tell Jesus that I’m sorry…i will tell him that I truly…truly from the bottom of my heart just trying to do my best…
