Further Suntimes Good Night Thought :

Life is so interesting isn’t it ?

In spite of 10 pages of logical talking which includes:

a) The obvious love and mercy of God and a required progress to pure reason in all he does , maturity in reason ect required in God’s design for Justice.

b) Our own private will, our desire, why exactly do we desire insanity for insanity?

c) Ethics for humanity are good for eternity, otherwise there is no self approach to ethic.

d) Key and individual contradictions in both the The Rock, and the catholic Encyclopedia
completely ignored and anxiously skirted around

e) Direct notification from Heaven Itself…# 61, (interpet privately as your conscience see’s fit thankyou very much, in respects to rule in post #66).

Thats all I can quickly think of at the immediate late hour. Its interesting because the greatest objection to the query in difficulty believing this eternal torture chamber exists, is a reliance on teaching. The only objection entered was…well whats the point in being good and following the program if theirs no hell? Also, why should ones with the obstinate will get off Scott free, they should have to pay…remember we are speaking of eternal torture.

I was asked tonight if I could lay off describing hell as an idi amin approach of sorts.I don’t understand this request. Idi amin justice system would be nothing compared to eternal torture,
…The victim gets out, he or she dies. Its over. This tells me that the gravity of what the thread arguement is speaking of and defending is NOT comprehended.

“They no not what they do” comes very quickly to mind."

How many times , or how many occasions in history does man need to wake up and smell the coffee on individual responsibility.? How many hundreds of more years before man can learn that orders to carry out insanity are NOT an excuse for wanton use of insane measure.
What we privately will by choice, defines the act as though it is taking place.

Our minds are a treasure, they are connected with the soul. I had no idea the position in hell belief was so attractive that even with contradictions in teaching, hazy descriptions, scripture which shows hell is the hellish life of a sinner , things would go like this.

Seeing signs in public…your going to hell and all that non-sense, I privately thought those people would not be Catholic, theres no way I thought…but sadly, this thread has shown me differently

So what do we have, lets take a birds eye view.

a) We know in evidence of this thread that the last thing someone wants to do is be left without an excuse to believe such a thing. The excuse provided and emphasized is clear…
.WE ARE TOLD TO

b) F Suntime says…even if true, and theres obvious flexibility, SO WHAT…this is mans biggest excuse causing the most insane acts of evil that any one could imagine. It doesn’t wash in
society…and it certainly wouldn’t wash with God . I still see no direct evidence from God, all the emphasis is entirely contradictory teachings, evolving out of an vengeful human past, to say the least

Had logical material on the soul, will and the obstinate will ect… all in keeping with the faith…save the eternity concept in hell. ( which I have proved is a completely contradictory area in teachings , including scripture orientated back up.

No way am I going to be one of the ones who says… sorry to believe this… its an order.

I’m not issuing. There are too many confusions in this thread as to what the soul represents.
Theres no point in arguing… The Will and The Soul are not properly understood. Eternal sin is illogical. The obstinate will is an absolute material will…the soul cannot comprise anything but pure innocent reason… its the inner child in yourself…its fearless .no way around it. Logic is logic. Become as children to enter the kingdom…I have evaluated the entire thinking and theres no confusion…it is logical…

Man can only learn at his own pace, its the experience in learning, Thats life…The pace in this thread can’t get past…hey…I have to because I’m told…thats not real Catholicism …no way…not when it goes against ethic.👍…post# 74

No one address’s anything but we are told and we know thats a worthless excuse. The conscience will not permit by virtue of NOT permitting in social justice system…PERIOD

Sorry for any grammer or whatever…its late and I had to work today…and will be back at work tom. This post is a quick thought out of dis-appointment in man…obviously. Peace

I’m finished with this . I have no interest in changing peoples mind. I do feel though a certain gut
impulse to toss out the facts . Ive done so. That is it.

I’m very interested in popular understanding of the soul and the will of man…I believe there are serious logical and mis-understood issues at hand. BTW the accusations were indicative of the required mindset of the belief in hell itself…that was the most obvious of all. No faith let alone Christian Faith bulldozes belief which is difficult to truely believe…let alone an entirely (proven in thread) man made imaginative idea of consequence after death…give me a break with all that baloney…Thankyou and God Bless to be sure:thumbsup:

You still never addressed this from Tantum ergo:

“For a person who freely and knowingly gravely offends God (mortal sin), unrepented at death. . .just exactly what do you say God ‘does’ with this person, and please bring forth after your statement the teaching documents from the church which support this as authentic Catholic teaching.”

I’d like to know your thoughts on that particular bit. Personally, I think you won’t answer it because it will force you to admit you are wrong, or that you misunderstood all your references. 🤷

After reading through the thread, I think that those who are trying to correct FurtherSuntime’s illogical reasoning have missed the root of the error and where this ‘understanding of hell’ comes from.
Global Sanctification ( regardless of faith
🙂

The Church teaching which suggests we truly believes the eternal chamber of torment exists in principal, can never be MORE than a suggestion.

No man or institution can suggest a concrete truth without factual evidence, and expect the impact of the suggestion to be in fact “more” than a, suggestion without evidence. This is logical

The idea of an eternal hell in teaching is rationally only a suggestion. It can never be more than a suggestion. Suggestions to the human mind are just that…suggestions.

No one can truly believe a suggestion without evidence to be a fact. Without concrete evidence
“logically” all one can do with the suggestion is two things…
  1. Hope the suggestion is true 2) Remain impervious to the suggestion
I have no clue what your getting at. The above 2 options represent the ONLY product such a teaching without concrete evidence can produce. Add serious contradiction directly associated
with the suggestion and common sense would gaurantee option number 2 above

The above two options are your focus. Nothing more , nothing less This is logical.

The Church knows there is no evidence to support the eternal issue.
Coming in late on this thread so forgive me if this has already been asked. If as you believe there is no hell, then there is no punishment for our sins… then why do you practice Christianity? Or even the Catholic faith? If there is no hell then we are all free to do whatever feels good without consequence. So if this is true then why these warnings from Sacred Scripture?

Matthew 13:49-50 So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go out, and shall separate the wicked from among the just. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:41 Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels.

It may be irrationally argued that there is another option…

To worry that the suggestion is true.

If the teaching is imparted to worry the teaching is true, then in fact it is ONLY A SUGGESTION. Absolute belief in eternal hell cannot logically represent a factual END PRODUCT of the teaching.

Eternal Hell Belief in teaching can never be more and represents a request to CONSIDER ONLY. Therefore the fact of the matter is , The Teaching is ONLY a request to consider the possibility Period.

I don’t know if many in thread will have much more to add…

And, yet, you offer your suggestion ‘without factual evidence’ as fact. This, then, is illogical.

Very Interesting, I’m glad for “now” to have returned

Firstly the second quote you provide has been discussed and is left un-challenged due to logic provided. I believe it is the first post I enter after the introduction inviting members to present their True Individual Will for the day.

Its sounds as though you are a thinker. You might want to read the entire thread.

Spirituality is all about living with ease. The cross of an evil life is far more heavy than the
cross of loving virtue in life experience. This is true.

If this is not recognized in experience to be true, an attraction falling into evil may be present.
Man is only human. We need the example in Jesus in order to piece together a solid idea
of just how, we can live within the “ease of peace”.

If the life in grace is seen to be burdensome, then the mother of virtue charity may not be exercised with open willingness. Consciously the charity may be extended without genuine "feeling"and seen as an enduring un-easy process.

The key is to feel the pain in others. really care and
…jump out…of that useless depressing self orientated self…👍

We are programed naturally for charity. Its better and easier to be your natural hopeful self. Not always easy, but quite a bit easier than the hopeless alternative. Our neighbor needs the example. Its how spirituality “works” I’m off to a work related responcibility, have an easy, cheerful, carefree day:thumbsup:

I read your second post and it makes no sense at all. From what I gather you would have us believe whatever new age nonsense you are espousing over the word of God. So again I ask why do you practice Christianity? Or even the Catholic faith? if there is no hell then you’re safe, home free, you got it made. No need to tow the line.

But Jesus is not just a man, He is God. And Jesus spoke of Hell. He didn’t SUGGEST that people would wind up there, He didn’t say, “Oh and I’ll just give a SUGGESTION that there will be undying fire and wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Logically, if there were a choice between listening to the words of fallible human beings on a subject, and listening to the word of an omnipotent, omniscient God on a subject, the one who would (logically) be most trustworthy and knowledgable about the subject would be God.

So He’s spoken. . .and I believe Him.

As shown by his absolute denial and argumental evasion, it is quite clear that following Christianity over his own dogma is exactly what he doesn’t want to do. It takes a special kind of pride, blindness, or an outright hatred of true doctrine to want to teach this to other people.

I hear you, the problem is that he IDs him/herself as RC and then rambles on about all kinds of new age and nonsense garbage. Then Protestants see this and hang his or her tag on all of us.

The Equation:
  1. Where a Belief System requests its Membership to believe that a consequence of absolute rejection of its codes for behavior will result in a torturous existence , for eternity, without any
knowledge or solid concrete evidence of such a happening , the Member only has the following options:.
a) Consider… the possibility in faith, without any solid concrete evidence that it is so.
b) Dismiss…the belief is true contrary to teachings, without any concrete evidence that it is so.
c) Hope… the consequence is true, without any solid concrete evidence that it is so
  1. a) Where a Member “Considers” the possibility of torturous consequence for eternity,
the Member is acting on a suggestion absent of evidence. The Member considers the
possibility may be true, and thus a possible reality for consideration only, within creation

    b) Where a Member “Dismisses” the suggested teaching, the Member is subject to
consequence within the Belief System which specifically address’s failure to comply,
    with the precise teaching only.

    c) Where a Member “Hopes” the consequence is true, The Member is subject to
consequence within The Belief System which address’s a Members desirous expectation
in a member of the human race, at any time in history, past present or future to be
subject to a suggested torturous experience for eternity , of which location holds no
    solid concrete evidence.
    Code:
The teaching is processed within the mind and translates the
possibility onto a hopeful reality in which requires another life, no last moment hope.

The desire also imparts an end product in Creation to comprise such . The hope is an
absolute judgment of God himself, in his ability to create an ultimate end befitting a
     a Divine Masterpiece of Benevolence

      3)
Allowing oneself to translate teachings which contradict hope in self by means of potential
subjectivity to this abdication of faith is a mis-representation of teachings to self.

It is also a desire which interferes with hope for our neighbor, as well mankind as it is
an absolute rejection of virtue hope. The Member is in full contradiction of the
Belief System. The entire bulk of pious teachings rooted in Charity are thus stained as
they are clearly without virtue Hope.
    Comment:
Promotion or use of the above dis-ordered hopeful expectation is a contradiction of Church
teachings The teachings request Members to believe a consequence as an item
without solid concrete evidence .
Code:
Man can only process 3 possibilities when presented with non concrete idea's
Dismiss, Consider, Hope. If man cannot reference factual concrete evidence for a
suggestion, he cannot sanely believe the idea is a fact. He can only Hope.
Hope is a virtue, not a tool:thumbsup:

Further Suntime:

Could you simplify your teachings and tell us exactly why you don’t believe in hell as taught by the Church and what paragraph in the Catechism supports your view as correct authentic teaching?

I mean, when Protestants for example try to tell us why they don’t believe in, say, the idea of the Pope, they give us things like, “the word Pope isn’t in the Bible’, or that 'maybe Peter was the leader but after he died there wasn’t any further stuff”.

All you say is “oh but God is LOVE and a loving person would not condemn people to eternal TORTURE”. . .

And when we say, "Yes, God is love, HE is not the one condemning and the torture is a consequence of the person’s free choice to reject God’. …

You come right back with, “Oh but God is LOVE and a loving person. . .” blah blah blah.

Gravity exists and if you were falling down into the Grand Canyon it wouldn’t do you any good to say, “I don’t believe a Loving God would create such a force that would cause some poor falling person to DIE!” The force wasn’t created to make people die, but it is a consequence of the force that somebody who did fall into the Grand Canyon would die from the effects of the fall!

And you still haven’t told us what to do about the person who eternally rejects God. What does God do with this person, and please chapter and verse of the authoritative Church document which verifies your statement.

And if you are saying that we can’t ‘know for sure’. . .balderdash. If we can’t know for sure based on what the Church teaches, why are you even Christian, because you can’t ‘know for sure’ that ANYTHING is correct. . .not Christianity, not even physical life. . because you don’t have any ‘proof’, right? So either there are things you know and trust even if you haven’t actually experienced them (like hey, I trust that astronauts can fly into space even though I haven’t gone on the space shuttle). . . or you just dither and waffle about what you don’t ‘like’ and claim that there is no way to ‘know’. . .

O k heres the deal…

Ive considered the possibility of hell in a serious manner a few times in my life and I cannot
believe it truly exists.I have to force myself to consider it, and it just won’t go…no way. can’t deal with acceptence for more than 5 seconds in every kick at the cat…It will NEVER be with my mind.
Recently, besides other things that people encounter in life, news ect, I have come to know someone. That someone FITS so perfectly for this idea in hell, that if hell exists , the chair is waiting. I cannot however entertain the idea of this actually happening even though the exposure to this mad individual excites a hopeful fair and serious consequence

When it comes to REAL LIFE , this is not a joke. Once the mind believes the eternal hell chamber exists, in a real life situation, the mind if it has any quality , does not see the ordeal of hell to serve any purpose other than , exchanging the noticed insanity from one to another.

I want nothing to do with hell. If its a reality in my knowledge for eternity, I will take a rain check and be dust in the wind. . I am NOT going through life only to wind up in another higher dimension of insanity. I firm on this. No way.

I believe there are serious consequence’s. Real consequence’s. Ive believe the understanding of exactly what the soul IS, …is the problem in theology.
If one understood what I believe the soul may represent, the experience on earth would make sense, the consequence’s would make sense, and I feel quite a bit would be uncovered as much conforms with…basic common sense.

Lastly…the way I see it is like this…
When a so inclined group goes to watch a madman get executed for viscously interfering with family ect…once the madman is off of planet earth, there is a sense of peace. The disorder is no longer in society. This is not my idea of consequence just talking potencial peace , without insanity …the principal which is clearly in play, re the hell exchange of horror for horror

If Jesus came to a person and said the following…Your loved relative is dying.
The person can say two things…1) OK , the loved one will be dead shortly
2) Oh No…I will go tend to comfort and hope for the best
Above disposition in 1 and 2 are how I find scripture reference to hell and so on.#1 represents the theologians looking for approval from the state. Control is very powerful and acts at many different levels

When Jesus said.1)…We must “become” as children to enter the kingdom, he did not say
…2)…Those who are not as children will not enter for “eternity”
question…why not?..notice the word become is left out in #2

I think thats a fair question. We like to quote meaning and then twist it around to suite global
trends and exercise control. I can’t buy into all this twisting.words around .My mind simply is not interested in being manipulated.

Ok buddy, here is the DEAL.
  1. The Church has definitively decided on the matter of hell.
  2. Whether you can wrap your mind around it or not, if the Church has decided THEN YOU MUST give FULL ASSENT.
  3. Your action to NOT believe and go around telling others that they should NOT believe because it is unreasonable CAN GET YOU IN TO HELL.
So the simple solutions is

Believe what the Church teaches, carry your cross of not being able to wrap your mind around it at the moment and do everything you can to NOT end up in HELL. 👍

God Bless 🙂

So really you’re saying that you just can’t believe it. . .and so you’re going to ignore the actual Jesus from Scripture saying that Hell exists. . .in favor of your own make-believe Jesus.

Sorry. I know from Scripture and tradition (thank you St. Paul) that even if a person claims to be coming from God but teaches a ‘different gospel’ that I am to reject that wrong gospel and cling to the truth. And I do. I had hoped that you would have taken some time to reflect and pray and be guided to the truth, but instead you seem to be clinging firmly to your invented god and your non-Catholic teachings.

Of course you’re entitled to believe what you choose in the sense that nobody is going to FORCE you into Catholicism. That being said, you CLAIM to be Catholic. And that changes the playing field, because as a Catholic you are obligated to accept CATHOLIC teachings and NOT (while presenting yourself as a Catholic) to come out and state totally disparate and wrong teachings and claim that YOU and THEY are real, and the Catholic teachings which many have been at pains to provide you are false.

They are not false. Your teachings are at best error, at worst stubbornly verging on heretical, and that is very troubling to us as your fellow Catholics.
