If you get a chance to watch “Mystery Science Theater 3000”'s episode where they watch “I Was a Teenage Werewolf” which starred Michael Landon, Mike (one of the MST3K crew) keeps singing little snatches of the “Bonanza” theme altered to fit what’s happening in the movie. Still my favorite MST3K episode.

I like that song a lot, too.

Kansas’ song, ‘Dust in the Wind’ was hauntingly beautiful, also, although it wasn’t connected to any TV series that I’m aware of and the lyrics were a bit depressing.

I love the classics, don’t get me wrong, but I am a child of the 90s, and the Simpsons is a big part of that. The first like nine seasons of The Simpsons were good, and when that music came on, I knew I was going to have something fun to watch. I also LOVE the Futurama theme. One theme that sticks out in my head though (and not just because I was named after Adam West), is the 60s Batman theme. (My favourite Batman is Kevin Conroy, look him up). I’m not big on campy Batman, but that theme is a good, well-known theme.

I too loved “This is It” and the Road Runner theme. Road Runner theme was my favorite when I was about 4-6 years old.

When I got a little older, I really loved the theme and all the songs on the original Josie and the Pussycats cartoon show. The original Scooby-Doo theme was okay, but Josie in my opinion had a much better soundtrack. The makers of those shows missed golden marketing opportunities by not releasing albums of the songs at the time. The only way to get some of the Josie music on record was to send in cereal box tops. My favorite cereal at the time was Sugar Pops (later renamed Corn Pops) and I ate so many boxes of Sugar Pops to get the records, I went totally off the Sugar Pops and almost never ate them again.

I still have to name a cat Sebastian. At one point I had some kittens named after Josie and the other girls, but no Sebastian.

Loved this theme song too, although I thought the show itself was stupid. I would watch the theme song and then change the channel.

Of the newer (1987 and later) Star Trek series, my favorite opening theme, and opening credits sequence, is from Voyager. The theme won an Emmy award.

I can close my eyes and listen to that theme song and picture myself going at “warp speed” across the galaxy. 😀

Thanks for sharing, MrZoom.

I realize they are totally different shows, but when I saw the clip of Josie and the Pussycats it made me think of ‘The Archies’, which came shortly before then, I think. Although I didn’t care much for the Archies theme song, I very much liked the catchy ‘Sugar, Sugar’ song they made:

I also had a crush on Veronica, who was the brunette girl. At that time in my pre-teen years, I wished to have a human girlfriend like her some day. And then I grew up and married a redhead - go figure. 😀

Josie was actually part of the Archie Comics universe. When I was a kid I was really into cartoons and kids’ shows about rock bands, of which there were many back then - virtually every kids’ cartoon for a few years had the characters forming some kind of band. I liked The Archies’ “Sugar Sugar” song and video (also featuring Sabrina the Teenage Witch who turns Archie into a rabbit and Reggie into a frog), but as I recall they didn’t have a lot of songs in the show compared to the two seasons of Josie and the first season of Scooby.

I actually remember many songs from many different kids shows and sometimes go on a binge looking them all up on Youtube. I loved those little music videos the most and would often be going around humming whatever the day’s songs were for the rest of the Saturday.

The Masterpiece Theatre theme is so regal sounding that I visualize Queen Elizabeth about to show up in a procession or something.
I tried to have that as the processional at our wedding but was (kindly) shot down by my pastor. Oh well, it was a 50-50 chance 😁

I was only a little boy at the time, but I remember this song watched by my father and thought it was pretty cool. I don’t remember the show, though.

Secret Agent from 1960’s

When that Secret Agent Man theme song came on the TV, my dad would get up and jitterbug to it with me. I was like 3 or 4. So much fun, dancing with my dad to that.

Lol. It was that kind of song.

I read where there was a TV series called ‘Danger Man’ in U.K. that this series was patterned after.

My favorite too (see earlier in thread).

One of my favorite lines from that show was when Horshack said he asked a girl out and she told him, “Arnold, if you were the last man on earth, I’d start dating trees.”
I have thought of that many times right up to present day.

Almost forgot this one! My husband and I never missed an episode (although the intro was nearly an entire episode, it seemed!)
