YAQUBOS:
Who told you that the Christ gave His authority to the Church Fathers?
The Apostles did, that’s what they preached, it’s called faith. Out of the original 11 remaining Apostles, it is assumed

that only five of them wrote anything. Unless Jude and James are not the authors of the epistles that bear their names, then there

would only be three. When the Apostles preached the Gospel and called disciples, they told them everything, without a written

Gospel. My Faith in what the Church Fathers preach is the same Faith that the Church Fathers had in the Apostles, for none of

Fathers knew Christ when he was a human on this Earth, they trusted in the oral traditions of the Apostles.

YAQUBOS:
An opinion: all New Testament teachings are Apostolic.
By whose interpretation? Yours?

You can’t argue with history…
If Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of St. John believed Catholic doctrine just after the death of St. John, then it’s obvious that he learned it FROM St. John.

Peace be with you!
Psalm45:9:
Pax Vobis Cvm!

How do you know that? Just like what St. Peter said, there are somethings that are hard to understand, which the unlearned twist.

Only the Bishops can interpret the scriptures, who were also the Church Fathers.
How do you know that? For there are difficult parts in the writings of the Church Fathers. Who can explain that?

In Love,

Of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Then he invented the heresy of Sola Scriptura.

Anyone who believes in Sola Scriptura, follows his lead; for he invented it, and is a protestant.
Well, so it seems that you think Martin Luther was a priest. So he is in that line you call Apostolic, just like the so called “Orthodox” before the schism…

St. Peter and St. Paul said that only the Bishops can interpret the scriptures, for the Holy Spirit has led them to rule the church. The Church interprets the Church Fathers and the Scriptures, because that is where Christ laid his authority.

P.S. You didn’t answer my question.

**“14 Q: Who are heretics? **

A: Heretics are those of the baptized who obstinately refuse to believe some truth revealed by God and taught as an article of faith by the Catholic Church; for example, the Arians, the Nestorians, and the various sects of Protestants. “

**“16 Q: Who are schismatics? **

A: Schismatics are those Christians who, **while not explicitly denying any dogma, yet voluntarily separate themselves from the Church of **Jesus Christ, that is, from their lawful pastors.”

Pius X Catechism, The Ninth Article of the Creed, Outside of the Communion of Saints.

A heretic denies a truth of the Catholic Church. Once Luther did this, he lost anything associated with Holy Orders. The Eastern Orthodox do not deny any doctrine of the church, at least at the time of the Schism. And so they have not lost membership to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and the Bishops at the time of the Schism have legitimately ordained successors to Holy Order.

The Eastern so called “Orthodox” don’t believe in the Pope, they don’t believe he is infallible, they don’t believe in the Purgatory, they don’t believe in the Immaculate Conception, etc…etc…

So are they now heretics?

Do they still keep the Apostolic line?

In Love,

Because the Scripture is the Word of God.

The Eastern Orthodox do not like to define things.

YAQUBOS:
The Eastern so called “Orthodox” don’t believe in the Pope they don’t believe he is infallible
The Eastern Orthodox believe that the Pope has the highest ranking honor of all the Patriarchs of the One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and he has authortiy. However, the question is how much authority does he have?
YAQUOB:
they don’t believe in the Purgatory
They believe in praying for the dead, they will not call it purgatory though. They do not believe in Transubstantiation, but they still believe in the physical presence of the Eucharist. It still is in full keeping of the Apostolic Teachings of the Church, “purgatory” and “transubstation” are efforts to help explain the mysteries of our faith. The Orthodox, however, prefer to keep their faith a mystery.

YAQUBOS:
they don’t believe in the Immaculate Conception, etc…etc…
That is because they believe that all people are born sinless, but because of original sin, people are prone to fall into sin. They believe that Mary, however, never fell into sin and has always been Immaculate. Eastern Rite Catholics believe this also.

YAQUBOS:

I am not a theologian, however the Pope has never declared them such. They are seperated brethren, schismatics.
40.png
YAQUBOS:
Do they still keep the Apostolic line?
They never lost Apostolic succession, because they never reformed their doctrines and changed things at the time of the schism and since the time of the schism, like Luther and the Anglicans did. The Eastern Orthodox is the only other church that still keeps the Apostolic line.

You say you are not a theologian, then, like a theologian, you insist that only the so called “Orthodox” have apostolic line like the Romans…

So try to concentrate on what you know, and don’t waste your time talking about the Apostolic line that you seem not to understand.

Psalm45:9:

That is a proven truth, the Orthodox Church is the only other Church that never reformed its doctrines and dogmas, which is why they call themselves “Orthodox.” Because they retain the teachings of the Apostles.

I know that the Orthodox Church has Apostolic Succession and no other Church besides the Catholic Church does, the Anglicans and Lutherans fell into heterodoxy. After I posted my last message, I looked up why Anglican Clergy do not have apostolic succession, now I know. All other “churches” do not have apostolic succession, because they changed their teachings and the “ordination” of their clergy, making it invalid.

So: What is the Word of God?
God’s Revelation to mankind, which is the Written Word, as well as the Oral Word.

How did God reveal His Word to mankind?

P.S.: I will answer as soon as we begin to talk about the same Word of God.

YAQUBOS:
How did God reveal His Word to mankind?
God the Father or God the Son spoke to them directly or he moved them by God the Holy Spirit.

Then the men and women moved by the Holy Spirit preached orally his word and then, later on, wrote some of it down.

But how do you know what is scripture?
