Well, I’m an old white guy, so I see myself in them. A large amount of the population does not.

Saying the best guy is always a white guy is, dare I say it, systemic racism?

Is this what the country is? It may be in some states, my understanding is it’s probably something like:

60-65% white.
12-13% black
17% Hispanic (these are all ball park figures)
The rest of the percentage points, other ethnic people, Far East Asian, Pacific Islander, Near East Asia (India and so on), Native Americans, etc.
 
I want someone to tell me that, although she aided the ticket, Sarah Palin was the most qualified choice for vice president in 2008.

Here’s from the Congressional Record of Jan 16, 2019. Maize Hirono requested a letter from “Catholics for Choice” to be entered into the record. And it is. The question arose because of the appointee’s known association with the Knights of Columbus and the Knights are seen as an alt-right group that opposes abortion and believes that marriage is between a man & a woman (the same as the Catholic Church teaches - oh, my!)
