And once again, Canada takes the lead is doing something really, really stupid for no reason other than political virtue-signaling. Lord, I want out of this country soon.

“Virtue-signalling” is by far the worst term to come out of the Alt-Right.
 
We’ll just have to see what will be considered as hate. Obviously advocating violence is wrong but will psychologists like Kenneth Zucker be censored for saying most gender dysphoric children don’t need to transition or worse face criminal charges? Only time will tell. Given the track record of certain activists and the politicians working with them it’s hard to blame anyone for being concerned.
 
I challenge your use of the word “oppressed”. If things in Canada are anything like they are in the US, then what’s being claimed is far from true.

I think you are spot on. What will be considered a hate crime will be the issue here. No one should be subject to hate crimes but disagreeing with the transsexual agenda should not be considered a hate crime.

We’ll have to see how things go.

At the rate it’s falling, I’m wondering if by the 2019 election if we’ll even have a country left.

To me, it is sad that this stuff is going on here, but at this point, I don’t know what we can do.

Unfortunately it will cost more lives in the long run, as kids are schooled in gender theory, encouraged into cross sex hormones, experimentation and surgery and anyone who may object or counsel against such a path are vilified and penalized.

If it wasn’t actually happening it would be comical the positive words they use in that article, because of how vague and zero detail they go into as to what sort of things they mean by words like ‘hate speech’ or ‘equality’.

What exactly is wonderful? they used a lot of positive words but didn’t go into any sort of detail about anything. What you read from this is different from what somebody else might read. Words like ‘equality’ and ‘protection from hate-speech’ sound great, until of course they accuse and prosecute me for ‘hate speech’ simply for pointing out that a biological male cannot become a female no matter how much hormones they take or what they surgically have done to their bodies.

Does this mean that a parent who does not agree to pumping their kid full of hormones and dressing them as the opposite sex can now be accused of child abuse and have their kids removed from them?

Does this mean that Schools will be forced to teach Gender Theory, which instructs kids that gender is fluid, not something inherent but to be chosen at will, often reading books to them like ‘the transgendered teddy’ with something as silly and superficial as wishing to be called a different name?

Will Catholic Schools be forced to comply with this new Gender Theory which is in stark contradiction to the Church’s teachings?

True, that is definitely a concern. Just imagine a politician saying, “We must abolish this hateful institution.” forgetting freedom of religion. Hopefully that will not happen in regards to this bill.

And like some of the others, the question of what is counted as discrimination is a big issue. While this bill most likely overreaches, there definitely are forms of discrimination that plague the transgender community that we could agree are unjust. The issue though is when things that aren’t discrimination become taken up as discrimination.
