Which one would be more likely to appoint conservative pro-life candidates to the Supreme Court? So, to say one candidate is pro-life and the other is pro-choice is wrong. One is pro-choice, one is apathetic.

Translation: tell people to vote for RomneyThe Orthodox should learn a lesson from this bishop and stand up for religious freedoms!
Why are you winking at me? Romney will appoint those judges most likely to support financial decisions that benefit corporations and capitalism as well as free trade. I am telling you that stances on abortion will play a small, if any role his selection to Supreme Court Justices. I suspect any appointees stance on abortion will be âblurryâ, some may not even have a record in that regard.Which one would be more likely to appoint conservative pro-life candidates to the Supreme Court?![]()
You mean if a Supreme Court judge retires, that candidate might vote for a Pro-Life Judge who might have a chance to make a decision which could make a difference in abortion. Thatâs an awful lot of âmaybesâ for a potential voter to hang their hat on when that candidate differs with them on nearly every single other issue.Which one would be more likely to appoint conservative pro-life candidates to the Supreme Court?![]()
Of course not. There is no reason for a priest to read a pro-anybody letter. That is direct campaigning for a candidate. What my priest did in his homily two weeks ago was review the stances of both major candidates that are of concern to Catholics, remind us that we are Catholics first, and also instruct us on the fact that we can vote to lessen evil. In other words, he reviewed our options and conveyed the teaching of the Church.Wouldnât it be better to have been positive? Rather than have the parish priests read an anti-Obama letter, it would be better IMO to have them read a pro-Romney letter.
Ringil, we are called to bring our faith into all areas of our lives. We donât park our faith at the church door.I donât want politics when I go to Mass.
One of the things I admire about the Orthodox- at least in the West. You wont hear them trying to influence voters.
But not the most important ones. You mean if a Supreme Court judge retires, that candidate might vote for a Pro-Life Judge who might have a chance to make a decision which could make a difference in abortion. Thatâs an awful lot of âmaybesâ for a potential voter to hang their hat on when that candidate differs with them on nearly every single other issue.
At this point, I think that it doesnât matter for which candidate you vote. Many posters here on CAF are saying that Romney is going to win by a landslide. As that is likely, voting for Obama wonât make a difference. The leaning towards Obama fencesitters can vote for him without fear of throwing the election into his lap.But not the most important ones.![]()
And I pray that your advise is not heededâŚfor the sake of the pre-born children who are being murdered everyday.I really, really hope that this âyou must vote GOPâ doesnât catch on with the Bishops.
Technically, that would be not inserting ourselves and interfering with other cultures.Bolding mine:
Oh yes? Could you elaborate?
Is not the ridding ourselves of the evil of Obamaâs rabid abortion funding the Prime Directive?
Not to worry. Romney is SURE to win, or so say CAF posters. And I pray that your advise is not heededâŚfor the sake of the pre-born children who are being murdered everyday.
Thatâs nonsense. Please. At this point, I think that it doesnât matter for which candidate you vote. Many posters here on CAF are saying that Romney is going to win by a landslide. As that is likely, voting for Obama wonât make a difference. The leaning towards Obama fencesitters can vote for him without fear of throwing the election into his lap.
At worstâŚRomney will appeal to his baseâŚand promote conservative judges who are also pro-life. There is a zero chance of the other guy promoting a pro-life judge.Romney will appoint those judges most likely to support financial decisions that benefit corporations and capitalism as well as free trade. I am telling you that stances on abortion will play a small, if any role his selection to Supreme Court Justices. I suspect any appointees stance on abortion will be âblurryâ, some may not even have a record in that regard.
Yes. Obama is pro-abortion all the way.Obama will support pro-choice judges, without question or compromise.
The man says he is pro-life and I will take him at his word. My conscience will be clear on the matter. The other guy is pro-abortion at all stages in the womb (and sometimes outside the womb in cases of partial birth abortion). I would choose martydom rather than vote for Obama. All I am saying is do not make Romney out to be some moral hero who is pro-life
I donât believe in telepathy. I will fight for the Romney election to the end.Not to worry. Romney is SURE to win, or so say CAF posters.
CAF opinion goes towards a landslide for Romney. Iâll trust CAFers over âpeople.â So my opinion stands.Thatâs nonsense. Please.
People think a lot of things - thatâs does not abrogate us of our responsibility to do what we believe to be the right thing. Not to mention there are just as many people who believe it will be close.
Nonsense. You mean if a Supreme Court judge retires, that candidate might vote for a Pro-Life Judge who might have a chance to make a decision which could make a difference in abortion. About three out of how many thousand?CAF opinion goes towards a landslide for Romney. Iâll trust CAFers over âpeople.â So my opinion stands.
EstesBob and Abyssinia are no fools, and they, among numerous others, assert that itâs a shoe-in for R/R. They donât claim to be mediums.I donât believe in telepathy. I will fight for the Romney election to the end.
