About three out of how many thousand?
I’m referring to CAF posters of whom there are many more than 3 who are certain of an R/R victory. Thousands on the Forum have not said that O is going to be the winner.

I did not say that these forum members were fools.

Your sarcasm is not humorous.
  1. I did not say that anyone was a fool. I said that they are NOT fools.
  2. I am not being sarcastic.

At worst…Romney will appeal to his base…and promote conservative judges who are also pro-life. There is a zero chance of the other guy promoting a pro-life judge.
Yes. Obama is pro-abortion all the way.
The man says he is pro-life and I will take him at his word. My conscience will be clear on the matter. The other guy is pro-abortion at all stages in the womb (and sometimes outside the womb in cases of partial birth abortion). I would choose martydom rather than vote for Obama.
Let’s see who the winners are on the Supreme Court - Alito, Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts (unless he really is crazy).

The bad judges are RBG, Sotamayor, Kagan, and Breyer.

Kennedy is the wildcard.

Guess which party approved the good judges, and guess which party approved the rabidly pro-choice, terrible judges?

You have about a 60-70% chance of Romney appointing good judges, based on the last 30 years track record. You have exactly a 0% with B.O. Liberal Catholics love to tout that Republicans haven’t overturned RvW yet. The ignorance of basic civics notwithstanding, this will be as good an opportunity as we will have had. Not to mention, RvW is still relatively young in terms of decisions that get reversed. It is not typical to render judgement and overturn that very judgement with a decade or so. The court does not like doing that.

If RBG or Kennedy goes ( or both), the court will swing with a pro-life nomination. Scalia will likely stay on the bench until a Republican is in office.

Even if I disagreed with everything else both men said, this would be enough for me to vote for Mitt Romney. Presidents’ impact in the federal courts (often overlooked, but just as vital) and in the USSC lasts decades.

CAF opinion goes towards a landslide for Romney. I’ll trust CAFers over “people.” So my opinion stands.
That’s fine. Since it is only your opinion, it doesn’t really matter. If people used that logic en masse, I’d be concerned.

It’s either Obama or nobody for me. I’ll probably decide at the last minute which way I’ll go. Romney will not get my vote and I don’t belive it is a sin to not vote for him  . The republicans need to do a better job picking candidates. I can’t believe that this is the best they could do.

It is not “my” opinion. It is the opinion of CAF posters who are held in high regard. I’m a left-leaning neutral about the winner of the election. But, CAF simply reeks with confidence regard the winner - and that sort of an attitude is a good thing.

So you think Romney is 50/50 for being pro-life, and Obama is all in for being not pro-life. Not sure I see the dilemma for you.
I think Romney is a mormon who you cannot truly understand unless you have lived with and around. In that regard, I do not believe that Romney would ever outlaw abortion because it would likely mean he had only one term. Much like Bush, whose party held the Presidency, Senate, and House for almost six years, yet NEVER introduce abortion legislation. Hmmmm…

He did; however, appoint two pro-life judges, so I have to give him some credit. Romney, on the other hand, serves Mammon and Elohim. However, that is only my opinion, and I state that emphatically. He could prove me wrong.

Most people feel the same about Obama. Is that the best the democrats can do?

And you not believing something is a sin is irrelevant. If it is, it is. If it isn’t, it isn’t. Your belief doesn’t change that.

Ringil, we are called to bring our faith into all areas of our lives. We don’t park our faith at the church door.
And we don’t park our brains at the church door either.

From the 2012 USCCB voting guide (emphases added):
  1. Catholics often face difficult choices about how to vote. This is why it is so important to vote according to a well-formed conscience that perceives the proper relationship among moral goods. A Catholic cannot vote for a candidate who takes a position in favor of an intrinsic evil, such as abortion or racism, if the voter’s intent is to support that position *). In such cases a Catholic would be guilty of formal cooperation in grave evil. At the same time, a voter should not use a candidate’s opposition to an intrinsic evil to justify indifference or inattentiveness to other important moral issues involving human life and dignity.
  2. There may be times when a Catholic who rejects a candidate’s unacceptable position may decide to vote for that candidate for other morally grave reasons. Voting in this way would be permissible only for truly grave moral reasons, not to advance narrow interests or partisan preferences or to ignore a fundamental moral evil.
I understand where you are coming from on this. Sometimes it’s really hard being an obedient Catholic. :o
When you are carefully forming your conscience according to the USCCB voter guide, you are an obedient Catholic.

*) See Cardinal Ratzinger, the current Pope (emphases added):

[N.B. A Catholic would be guilty of formal cooperation in evil, and so unworthy to present himself for Holy Communion, if he were to deliberately vote for a candidate precisely because of the candidate’s permissive stand on abortion and/or euthanasia. When a Catholic does not share a candidate’s stand in favour of abortion and/or euthanasia, but votes for that candidate for other reasons, it is considered remote material cooperation, which can be permitted in the presence of proportionate reasons.]

Don’t you think that R/R are going to win? Have you not real confidence in them?
We have to vote for him to win. You suggested that voting was useless.

At this point, I think that it doesn’t matter for which candidate you vote. Many posters here on CAF are saying that Romney is going to win by a landslide. As that is likely, voting for Obama won’t make a difference. The leaning towards Obama fencesitters can vote for him without fear of throwing the election into his lap.

But his word has been all over the place. Which version shall you believe?
I said I will take him at his word that he supports pro-life issues. The other man does not…and in fact…even supports abortion mills such as planned parenthood.

It is a no-brainer. 😉
