I might be wrong, but from what I understand the Republican establishment doesn’t like Cruz because he challenged the hierarchy based on seniority in Congress.

Plus there was the fact that while pontificating he actually read “Green Eggs and Spam” to the Senate to waist time.

The point is, Cruz is right on the issues and he has shown he is willing to stand up to Washington.

:manvspc:

Imagine… politicians in Washington calling each other Lucifer. Sort of like the pot calling the kettle black.

Oh please, stop. Republicans complain almost ceaselessly that their elected officials have let them down by caving to the Democrats. Cruz stood his ground, the only one who would do so, and he is attacked by the same people who bash the Republicans for not stopping the Democrats. Of all the 17 GOP candidates, Cruz is the one and only person who pushed back–he should be a hero.

I also take note that you said nothing about the Lucifer comments…
👍

Take my likes.

I thought that was a ringing endorsement. I can’t imagine supporting anyone Boehner likes. I believe he called him Lucifer or did some equally sophomoric name calling a couple months ago, too.

Boehner said he and Trump are Twitter and golf buddies, and he’s planning to vote for him. If I were a Trump supporter, that would certainly make me think twice.

Wow! He has made a lot of enemies. Even Bob Dole doesn’t like him.
I have never warmed up to him.
I have to admit, I laughed uproariously when I read some of those quotes,😃 especially the one from his Princeton roommate. And, yeah, Bob Dole doesn’t strike me as a spiteful person, and even he’s dishing it out. I’ve read in other places that members of both the Congress and the Senate have flipped him off while he was speaking, which may or may not be out of the norm, I don’t know.

How can one person compare a devout Christian to Lucifer? Is this another Catholic vs. Protestant fight?

BTW, do yourselves a favor.

Look at the stock market prices when the government shutdown in 2013, then look at the prices when the government reopened.

Knowing Cruz’s wife was at Goldman Sachs, and Eric Cantor got a multi-million dollar job with a stock investment firm, you’ll understand what the real reason for the government shutdown…

Are you still peddling this unsubstantiated, factless, evidence-lacking smear? This is plain and simply libelous. It is uncharitably smearing the character of a man with ZERO evidence, which I thought was against forums rules. It most certainly is sinful behavior and something a Christian shouldn’t do.

Makes me like Cruz even more-Trump is Boehner’s buddy.
So who is the real outsider and who is the real establishment insider, again?
It’s an awesome endorsement for Cruz. And goes further to prove the establishment has no problem with Trump. He’ll make deals with them all day. Only Cruz will stand up to them.

Not surprised Dole doesn’t like him. Dole personifies the DC establishment.

Fiorina agrees with you (granted she’s a little biased :)): “Guess what? Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are that system. They’re two sides of the same coin. Neither one of them will reform the system. They will take advantage of the system as they have all their lives.”

An interesting statement on CNN a few minutes ago: “It’s ridiculous for Ted Cruz to try to say he isn’t the establishment when he has Jeb Bush’s endorsement.” (I’m quoting from memory so I may not have the exact wording.)

I believe the person who said that supports Trump, who was endorsed by David somebody or other.
