Isn’t that one of those books you Catholics added to the real Bible? (j/k)I think this is alluded to in 1 Maccabees.

But it is most definitely illegal to cross the US border with that amount, undeclared. Perhaps is money laundering, or drug related. Also, it’s technically not illegal to carry that much cash.
I think that it can be important to understand the source of information. Here we have some shady characters saying things, so why should we believe them?Let’s not be too selective with our skepticism.
I think that there are some things people do not understand about this situation. One is that it wanes and waxes. Suddenly we have thousands coming across the border. At another point, we have few attempting to enter illegally or under asylum rules.Somehow, our prisons, which actually house people with guilty convictions, have been providing real blankets for centuries. Perhaps there are some minor improvements that could be made?
Because slippery-slope thinking is fallacious. Someone can lie about one thing and tell the truth about another. As I previously stated, ICE has repeated lied, so why believe them when they say that they have video footage and hunky-dory prison conditions? Here we have some shady characters saying things, so why should we believe them?
This still doesn’t excuse a lack of soap and toothbrushes. Or leaving a newborn baby to shiver overnight.Suddenly we have thousands coming across the border. At another point, we have few attempting to enter illegally or under asylum rules.
I don’t think this is a slippery-slope fallacy.Because slippery-slope thinking is fallacious
Sure, that’s possible. But someone who has definitely lied about one thing is more likely to lie about another.Someone can lie about one thing and tell the truth about another.

A space blanket
A space blanket (also known as a Mylar blanket, emergency blanket, first aid blanket, safety blanket, thermal blanket, weather blanket, heat sheet, or shock blanket) is an especially low-weight, low-bulk blanket made of heat-reflective thin plastic sheeting. They are used on the exterior surfaces of spacecraft for thermal control, as well as by people. Their design reduces the heat loss in a person’s body, which would otherwise occur due to thermal radiation, water evaporation, or convection. Their compact size before unfurling and light weight makes them ideal when space or weight are at a premium. They may be included in first aid kits and also in camping equipment. Lost campers and hikers have an additional possible benefit: the metallic surface appearance flashes in the sun, allowing use as an improvised distress beacon for searchers and also as a method of signalling over long distances to other people on the same route.[1]
What are these ice lies, your link didn’t work. I’m not sure disagreement about gang affiliation by people protected by DACA is lying
Is this how you explain it in your facility? Do you argue that you shouldn’t be required at all to provide them? https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/06/21/detained-migrant-children-no-toothbrush-soap-sleep/In my facility we too occasionally run out of supplies, it may be bad inventory management but it’s hardly the torture represented.
It is. There’s a slippery slope to lying about one thing = lying about other things, everything, or things that you personally don’t want to believe are true.I don’t think this is a slippery-slope fallacy.

ICE, for example?I am not arguing that conditions at the centers are ideal, simply that these are not the people whose word I’m going to take for that.
What exactly is your allegation against ICE on babies? Also, you don’t know a lot about babies, do you? Here’s how most medical professionals want babies to sleep in order to prevent SIDS and suffocation.
But seriously… what the heck is going on here? The family tried to get a visa but were denied and then they’re found sneaking over the border with a car full of cash. There’s obviously more to this story than meets the eye. And it’s certainly not a case of CBP cruelly mistreating a family as it was originally advertised.
You just blamed a mom for not holding her baby up next to her all night long instead of the government for not turning on the thermostat. I’m explaining to you how infant care works, and why babies require a reasonable temperature. What exactly is your allegation against ICE on babies?
Deflection. That is irrelevant to the conditions at ICE detention camps.I’m more concerned why the young UK mom was backroading with $16k in Canada, for a sunday drive. Maybe the baby was being used as a prop, to allay suspicion. How do young people get loads of cash?
Admit it, you were quite vague in your complaint. You just blamed a mom for not holding her baby up next to her all night long instead of the government for not turning on the thermostat. I’m explaining to you how infant care works, and why babies require a reasonable temperature.
Absolutely, and why? Because I don’t have to make any actual decisions about this, which would require more evidence.Honestly, (and fortunately), your personal opinion is irrelevant.
Of course, you are, afaik, in the exact same position that I am in. You are willing to take the word of someone who has already been shown to be lying.I just hope that as legal authorities are weighing in on the case, they use more objective criteria than you are.
No, not unrelated. First they accuse C&BP of behaving badly, then ICE. They were shown to be lying about their first accusation, so their second accusation is, to me, not evidence that ICE is behaving badly any more than their first against C&BP.they lied about something unrelated.
The video does not appear to support this.An animal in the road caused them to detour into the USA?
