Show me where i have said i do not think gays and lesbians should not be treated with dignity?
Where have i even hinted at the idea they do not deserve to be treated with dignity?
Sometimes the lbgt community reminds me of a spoiled child,
You said:
So really, by buying a pride whopper. You are going against Gods commandments.
The Pride Whopper served two purposes. It said “we’re all the same inside” and it raised money to help LGBT kids go to college. So which of these two do you think violates God’s commandments?
The fact that they are sinning is bad enough, but that they are trying to “force” the rest of us to make it legal and acceptable is what’s bad for our society and our young people. I don’t see thieves trying to make us accept theft as legal and I don’t see adulterers marching down the street with their married partner. I doubt anyone on here would want it to be legal for someone to steal their new car, or anything else. Prayers for all including those of us who accept all this as justifiable in the eyes of God. God love us but HE does not love sin!! Read the Bible. God Bless, Memaw
Thieves and adulterers hurt other people; gays don’t hurt anyone but themselves. So much more comparably, I
do see those who enjoy marijuana advocating for its legality. I
do see those with terminal illnesses advocating for physician-assisted suicide.
Let’s face it; America has the Wiccan attitude of “live your life however you want, as long as you don’t hurt anyone else.” This is not isolated to just gays, yet gays are the only group of people that Christians love to bash on national media. I don’t see people going on national television calling the terminally ill “pedophiles.” I don’t see people going on national television talking about how marijuana users are attempting to “recruit” children.
It’s ridiculous how persecuted the LGBT community is by conservative Christians. Anything remotely suggesting anything but complete intolerance of gays & lesbians is considered cowing to the “homosexual agenda” or “militant homosexuals,” etc. And worst, when someone has the courage to actually call one of these people homophobic, the person turns around and says “they called me homophobic cuz of my stance on marriage!” and completely ignores the actual reason they’re homophobic.
I don’t support SSM, but you know what? I’m polite to gays & lesbians, I love them as people, I treat them as my friends, I stick up for them. And I have been warmly accepted in the LGBT community as a result. Opposing SSM does not make you homophobic in the community. If you were called homophobic, you should re-evaluate your attitude, not cry persecution.
I am very proud of this BK franchise for doing what is right, standing up for the human dignity of gays and lesbians, and helping LGBT kids go to college. If I were in SF, I’d go get lunch there today.
