Am I to understand this comment really implies it’s all about pride and has nothing to do with the gay “marriage” movement?=SMGS127;12181101]“In support of gay people.” Being a gay person isn’t a sin. “Being gay” means “being attracted to members of the same sex.”
I take it then there would be no issue with the installation of a Red Pride burger to honor Native Americans or an Irish Pride burger? :ehh:
On the one hand, Burger King is a private company. But to answer this question: Dignity should stand on its own merits. :yup:As for why we should celebrate the dignity?
Do GLBTQ persons really feel better about themselves over a hamburger?
That’s actually sad on many levels and really does further what I write on here about gay relationships.
What about African-Americans? Know how many of them have been shot in the South side of Chicago this month?Because the individual dignities of homosexuals are denied over and over again in our country by hateful acts.
To quote Jason Lewis “if we have hate crimes, do we also have love crimes”?Hate crimes are rampant, people fight for the right to deny serving gay people at restaurants in the South,
I’ve heard nothing of this, and as such on the surface, this argument in general (not in reference to the author) sounds like another lame attempt to link gay “marriage” to the civil rights movement.
I’m not denying there isn’t hate towards GLBTQ, but being gay is soanti-LGBT bullying is one of the highest rates of bullying in the country, parents throw LGBT kids out of the house, etc. etc. While I may be glad that we don’t live in Iran, the United States is one of the most intolerant countries in the Western world towards the human dignity of gays and lesbians. I welcome any attempt to fight that.
I just wonder how many of those cases of kids getting thrown out for reasons besides who they are attracted to. Do individuals who claim kids get the boot just for being GLBTQ take the child’s word for it or what?
I’m also skeptical about the concern the gay “marriage” movement has for these kids. I’ll bet a lot of it is along the same nonsense of Western liberal “compassion”.
