Why do you consider abortion an irrelvant issue? Once upon a time, slavery was “settled law” in the US, as were segregated schools. The first was resolved by a war, the second was resolved by the SC’s admission that a former ruling was an error. SC justices are not the pope, when they make a bad ruling, it can be overturned.
For me, what is important is what direction we are headed. Are we headed in a direction where abortion becomes settled law then an irrelvant issue? I do not want that for my country, altho I realize others do.
The fact that it is taking a long time to rectify the wrong of Roe v Wade does not mean no one is doung anything. In fact, quite a lot has been done in the century, after decades of chipping away at the pro-abortion monolith. 30 years ago, parental permission could not get by the courts, now many states have this law. And so on.
Yep, I’d rather vote for people who will work bit by bit towards eradicating murder in our country than to vote for people who actively work against that. Weird, I know, but…
