All heterosexuals in Canada should immigrate elsewhere leaving Canada a gays’ country

This would not only be unwise, but we would be surrendering Canada to immorality. Canada is truly our home, to leave it would be to leave a part of ourselves behind. We cannot stand to see our great country basking in the Culture of Death so we must fight for the Culture of Life. We must stand on guard for our home!

Canadian gay marriage bill: Your views
** What do you think about the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Canada? ** Canada’s parliament has approved a controversial bill legalising same-sex marriage, despite strong opposition from conservative MPs and religious groups.

The move makes Canada only the third country after the Netherlands and Belgium to allow gay marriages, although the bill still needs to be approved by the Senate to become a law.

If you could all take a bit of time to visit BBC and make your voice heard on this issue many would appreciate it. I think it’s about time the “sleeping giants” awoke and made their voice known! Here’s the link:

Thanks much.

you know homosexuals can’t procreate. it would be only a matter of time, most probably less than 50 years, they die out. then you can move back

There wouldn’t be much love and charity in leaving them to die out. We must remain in our home to defend our beautiful land.

Matthew 7:6 comes to mind when thinking of leaving the country.

“Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you.” (Douay-Rheims Version)

If we were to flee then there would be no one to guard the pearls.

They can choose to become a heterosexual and procreate but they don’t, the choice is theirs. you do them no harm by leaving the country.

I’m not sure how effective turning the flag upsidedown will be, but it could send the wrong message. You might want to rethink this.
Apparently you’re years ahead of us Pondero!

It would do no good either, nothing will be accomplished in the long run. If we aren’t here to defend Canada then when we return it would be so deformed that we wouldn’t recognize it.

"The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops calls on the Senate to exercise in full its role of assuring a ‘second and sober’ look at the proposed legislation, in order to give prudent consideration to all the various social, religious, legal and civil consequences of Bill C-38

Amen to that. Shoving this legislation through is undemocratic to say the least. Two thirds of Canadians have been shown in various polls to be against this decision. Two thirds! Senate should demand a national referendum before passing this **** into law. Unfortunately in Canada, our Senate has no backbone whatsoever.

Previous to our recent Constitution (1982) I beleive the Queen could withhold ‘Royal Assent’; however, modern convention dictates that no bill which passes Senate is ever disallowed.

Horrible idea. God created this land and I will not abandon it to be defiled!

I shall join you both as well. Lets get all Canadians to come together to help defend our nation!

Just hours ago, Canada legalized gay marriage. The definnition is being changed. Just saw it on the news.

OMG, I didn’t even know that happened! 😦 I haven’t been paying *any *attention to the news lately. I’ll be praying for Canada.

If I did it in Canada, I’d be in jail. So much for the Canuckian Charter of Rights.
Wow. You sound like you really know what you are talking about. Caselaw please.

I agree with Aureole.

And you can bet that homosexual as well as heterosexual men have done so in battle. Patriotism is no group’s private domain.
Those with the agenda are also anti-military action.

Those with the agenda are not interested in patriotism. They are interested in self.

Ani:

"Pondero claims that Bishop Grecco (of Toronto but formerly of London) has said that clergy should be reticent to speak out against Bill C-38 because, if they do, then churches could lose their tax-free status. "

Yes, it is true, see Catholic Insight magazine, June 2005,
The Catholic community battles Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ page 41.

The SC in the US ruled that the governmnent can take your property for whatever reason they think is good. Shouldn’t be long before the rule that it is good that a homosexual couple can take 1 of your 3 children because they cannot have any themselves.

Which doesn’t explain why decorated homosexuals who want to remain in the Service are usually forced out anyway.
Those with the agenda are not interested in patriotism.
Just like those with the pro-lifers’ agenda aren’t interested in patriotism either, right?

You all sound like you’re ready to go to war over this. A lot of violence teeming below the surface of your posts. That’s pretty scary.

This was directed to Richard, but I ran across this article:

canoe.ca/NewsStand/Columnists/Calgary/Bishop_Fred_Henry/2005/02/27/943782.html

Bishop Henry of Calgary is on trial now for voicing his opinion on religious matters. If Canada had freedom of religion OR speech, the case would already have been thrown out.

Also, several cases are cited at the end of the article. The anti-discrimination laws only have a partial exception for “religious officials”. The laity are fair game.

*“absent unique circumstances with respect to which the Court will not speculate, the guarantee of religious freedom in s. 2(a) of the Charter is broad enough to protect religious officials …” *
