He didn’t.
Darn right, or the whole thing could have been wrapped-up just shy of 2K years ago.

The ability to openly PRAISE GOD, to “sing HIS Praises,” for any legnth of time has the rock-solid requirement of first being able to speak above a whisper, even if you are hiding in a dark hole.

Cardinal Dolan spoke of the Culture of Death and the Culture of Life.
Cardinal Dolan also has said that abortions should be banned and that marriage is only between one man and one woman. Do you agree with that, too?

Culture of death, culture of life…
Culture of ignorance. . .

Cute saying. Put it on a t-shirt.

Peace-niks never guarantee peace, they either just enjoy it while it is provided, OR they are secretly selling something a little more sinister.

You’re ignoring how the way you are speaking sounds. You’re not able to provide or guarantee peace, you can only guarantee that I can join you in guaranteed submission OR you are hoping that you can compel my ignorant surrender.

I am saying fight-on, keep and maintain whatever means you wish, and we will achieve a trepedatious “ARMISTICE” (TERMS, J.M.Thomas R., 2012). If we provide “equal threat” we are BY LOGIC, safer than whittling each other down to equally vulnerable.

Either way, I refuse to settle for the latter.

I put all faith and trust in Christ. He can provide, or guarantee, anything.
5:39 But I say to you not to resist evil: but if one strike thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other:
Mat 5:40 And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him.
Mat 5:41 And whosoever will force thee one mile, go with him other two.
Mat 5:42 Give to him that asketh of thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away.
Mat 5:43 You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy.
Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:
Mat 5:45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.
Mat 5:46 For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this?
Mat 5:47 And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this?
Mat 5:48 Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.

Yep. Well said.

The Lord never said we should demand that others lay down their lives for our misguided political whims.

Which is exactly what the Left’s “gun control” will do to many of us.

It’s not laying down one’s life for ‘political whims,’, it’s accepting controls, and possible limitations of some weapons, so that other may have life. Those others are His namesake that we give for.

Uhm… that’s all well and good where it applies to us personally,

but what about protecting our families?

Our friends?

Or our neighbors?

Did Jesus tells us to let them die?

And what about the negative consequences that result for these “controls” in the LOSS of other peoples lives?

On reading, it seems increasingly evident to me just how pertinent and wise the Cardinals words are.

Culture of Life and Culture of Deatth indeed.

It is now wonder just why so many people admire him and regard him as papabile.

👍

No Jesus didn’t say ‘let them die.’ Fact of the matter is, Christ didn’t address self defense in the sense we are speaking of it right now. He set an authoritative Church in place, with authoritative men over that Church, that defined self defense, and it’s limitations and allowances.

Were they speaking outside their expertise?

How does background checks, registrations, banning of specific type weapons, or any of the suggestions by the Cardinal, or USCCB, prevent anyone from self defense?

Show me the specifics where the Church defined self-defense and it’s limitations and allowances in terms of specific secular legislation.

And then show me where that judgment renders unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s.
