China has just over 19.5 million Muslims and KSA has 26.4 million Muslims. Figures are taken from CIA factbook.

26.6 million Muslims in China according to my calculations.

Besides that China is technically atheist and overall religiously oppressive.

Since the data isn’t entirely clear, let me use a different example. India. According to CIA factbook, 153 million Muslims in India. Less than 30 million Muslims in KSA, and 153 million in India.

So do you think it’s fair to judge all Muslims by Saudi Arabia?

It’s fair because the Saudis claim their version of Islam is the most pure.

I am kind of suspicious of this “Sam” character not being able to answer questions here, but only dictate from the bible and Quran…anyone here feel the same way?

Sufism, Druze, Nation of Islam, Salafi, etc.
Not sure if you know what you’re talking about.

Sufism is a practice inside Islam–many prominent Muslim scholars were Sufis.

Druze aren’t Muslim at all, they’ve branched out to something different.

Nation of Islam isn’t Muslim either, because they believe things that are contrary to Islam like God incarnate and another messiah and prophet after Jesus and Muhammad.

Salafism is not a version of Islam either but a movement among Muslims to just adhere to more original interpretations of Islam, or at least those backed up more clearly by Qur’an and hadith, kind of like a new fifth school of jurisprudence but it’s mostly Hanbali.

Saudi Arabia is really a hot bed of Salafis… lol… which is why I think you don’t know what you’re talking about.

There is Islam–it’s the same Islam in Indonesia as Morocco as Saudi Arabia. Saudis don’t teach anything different. I’m referring to Saudi scholars anyway.

Yes. He sounds kind of like an Arab missionary to me.

Oh… one more point… Muslims are required… Catholics pray because they want to… which do you think is more commendable?
This is not really true in every case. For example, Catholics are required to attend Mass on Sundays. And the Mass is the number one prayer for Catholics. If a Catholic does not attend Mass on a Sunday, and if he does not have a valid excuse for this, and if he does not repent of this sin, he will go to hell and suffer an eternity of horrible fires and torment. And the fires of hell are not just symbolic, but according to the Pope, the fires of hell are real and eternal. So this sounds to me like attendance at Mass on Sundays is a requirement for Catholics.

Huh, never attend mass will go hell… i never know that our God can be so heartless…now i understand why Catholic must attend mass every sunday, coz the rule say if you don’t go , you go hell…then i believe all backslider all goes hell long time ago…
then i wonder how many of those catholic actually go church for serious worship ? becoz if they are rules of hell without going to church, of course everyone will go, coz nobody want to go hell…

It should have already been obvious to your readership that you haven’t been trained in Islam at all and have merely assimilated the religion through local culture, and incorrectly at that.
You have much to learn… too bad you’re not interested.
Thank you Sister Amy, but Islamic teaching was part of my school books (book of Quran, book of Tawheed, book of Feqh, and book of Tafseer), since the first grade, that means I have studied that for 12 years from age 7 till 18 in Saudi Arabia in its original language “The Arabic”, and I’ve trained on that when attending the Mosque wahhabi clerk daily class after Isha (night) prayer, and the Saudi local culture that you don’t like preached Islam to the whole nations including your sheikh.
The Prophet (saws) prayed at home, one of the hadith you referenced proved it:
Not at all, if you cannot read Arabic, print that and show it to your sheikh, do not take the Hadith number and compare it the book you have, here in Saudi Arabia we are using the Sunee books, maybe you have different book published somewhere else.

Why? Don’t Protestants attend their ‘ceremonies’ on Sundays as well? Do you feel you can just go ‘whenever you like’?

Hi happygal,

I don’t go to mass to avoid hell. I go because I love Jesus and I love to worship him in communion with others as he commanded us to do. The mass is the ultimate act of worship.

God love you,
Paul

Why can’t a Muslim say the same thing: They pray five times a day, not becasue they are required to do so, but because they love and respect Allah?

Regardless, those 5 daily prayers and the ablutions that go with them are mandatory as Sister Amy has pointed out.

And there are mandatory Catholic disciplines such as attending Mass on Sundays, which oblige under pain of mortal sin. If a Catholic does not have a good excuse for missing a Mass on Sunday, and he does not repent, will he or will he not go to an eternal punishment by actual fire in hell? This is a real and actual fire, and not a symbolic one, is that correct or not? Doesn’t this threat of a never ending punishment of burning by actual fire amount to making attendance at Mass mandatory for Catholics?

For Roman Catholics it is mandatory as a discipline imposed by the Church for the spiritual well-being of her flock. Eastern and Oriental Catholics do not share the same rules or theology, so they are not part of the deposit of faith necessary for salvation.

I just don’t understand “catholics” like you! Do you have some kind of fetish about the Muslim 5 daily prayers? I believe you’ve brought this same subject up before! What is your problem? If you like Islam so much, why don’t you become a Muslim?
