I’vr encountered on the net many muslims who claimed to be Christians, and Benjamin is surely not one of them. No Muslim will ever state the Christian faith without thinking he’s commiting the unforgiveable sin as per Muhammad.
I actually think Benjamin may or may not be a Catholic, but I definitely think he is either a muslim, or on his way to conversion.

I suppose you are right in a lot of things you say. But are you against insisting that Islam dosent preach about peace at all? Why arnt Muslim Woman and Sister Amy terrorists if it dosen`t?
So you argument goes :-
Muslim Woman and Sister Amy are not terrorists, therefore islam preaches peace?

actually the inspiration of Muhammad comes strictly from the devil. But I see what you mean. Jesus did warn us about false prophets, and Musilms fell in the trap. However, this is why I believe God worked mysteriously through Muhammad so muslims can still have a way to achieve salvation, through praying, fasting, and ect.
we are not saved because we pray and fast, but because of God’s mercy through His Word in flesh and Muslims reject God’s free gift and most do it knowingly so i expect their law will judge them, and many will fail because you cannot “bribe” God by doing that which you are supposed to do anyway, that is why no muslim knows if his good deeds are more than his bad deeds, and they will have to rely on God’s mercy, something they rejected and so they rely on their deeds, maybe, just maybe God will have mercy on them after they die but Jesus did not tell us that it is our deeds that save us, but that He saves us and our deeds are the result, not the reason.

You want to see what these ‘peaceful’ muslims pray for?

What the muslims are praying at the hajj
I watched the video link and it was truly sad to watch and listen, especially to the anguish. Their is so much hate. I truly sympathize with their pain. But to ask God to perpectuate their hate; elicites further sadness. Obviously, those praying to God in this fashion have their conception of God different than my own. To pray for evil upon someone is not submitting to God but to the “enemy”. And that goes for the West, the East, the South and the North. I hear it everday in the news, at work, everywhere. People asking God to bring pain to others - it’s insane. God is not listening to those that request violence on others. God does not want us killing ourselves. God wants us to love each other and bring the Kingdom of Heaven here among us.

I pray for all Muslims, I pray for all Christians. I pray for all Jews. May we extinguish hate and resentments towards each other. May we come in the unity of God and pray for everlasting peace. May the enemy [satan] be banished from our midst and focus on God’s ever-loving embrace. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Peace to you all…please discuss with kindness and respect. Any thing else and you’re not submitting to God.

🙂 saying Muhammad was inspired by satan is surely not the correct way to conversion …

I personally can understand his arguments because he is trying to think in a positive way, something that affects humans interaction in a good way, but somethin that will be challenged on other levels.

OK, maybe I am just naive, but what is the purpose/goal of a muslim pretending to be a Christian? Wouldn’t that be rather easy to figure out as the converstion moved along? Are they thinking they’ll convert someone? Or is it just to pass along misinformation about Islam because they think someone will believe it coming from a Christian? 😊

Unless he’s lying in the cause of spreading islam. That is not just allowed, but prescribed for muslims.

nothing wrong with calling god Allah. The problem is the denial of Allah’s redemption.

Thank you Allah for dieing in my place. For only you can do such a thing and raise yourself from the dead all the while remaining alive eternal. You will always be my allah.

There do you you feel better now.

Or how about this.

I beleive in no Allah but Allah and Yeshua is his word.

Does that work for you.

… waiting to see if dust on feet is to be kicked away.

I think you make a good point. “Allah” is simply a human term used to describe an all powerful entity that is beyond human and has no name. No word describes God (not even “God”) and it is foolish to think we capture the essence of God in any particular term we use. There are cultural and religious connotations ascribed to “Allah” which many people think diminishes the Christian view of God and his plan for salvation, and this is what seems to have so many folks upset at its use by Christians. But just as Christmas trees were taken from Germanic pagan religions and retheologized and imbued with a Christian sense and meaning, so a term such as “Allah” can be imbued with a Christian sense and meaning. We can say the same thing when Native American Christians refer to God as “The Great Spirit.” In fact, as mentioned in a previous post, this seems to be precisely the Malaysian Government’s concern in its attempt to prevent Catholic publications from using the term “Allah” to refer to God. It creates confusion among Muslims who see their view of God and his relationship with humanity undermined when Christians use a term so closely identified with Arabic culture. The argument can go both ways. Christian identity is watered down when Christians use a term closely identified with the Muslim world view or Islamic identity is watered down when Christians use a term so closely identified with the Muslim world view because Christians obviously don’t mean the same thing. In both cases, religious identity is threatened and the primary response is to not use the term because it causes confusion. This response seems inadequate to me because, as also mentioned concerning the situation in Malaysia, not using the term can also lead to problems that are not beneficial to Christians.

why do some people keep sayings things like Allah is not God. Did you not know that Allah is jut another name for God? Even Jesus calls His Father Allah in various Bibles in a different language. I dont get when Catholics on this site keep stating Allah is not God. I can comprehend why a lot of you are unwilling to justify Mohammeds actions, but saying that Muslims worship another God is just bogus to me. Even John Paull II said we all worship the **same** God in front of a Muslim crowd. So whats the deal with that? Only Because Mohammed used the name of Allah to get away with sinful acts, dosent mean other peacful Moslems do the same. They just dont know better. They are Moslems because they have been brought up that way.

I am basically saying that Jews and Muslims worship the Father of Jesus, and I don`t think its fair for anybody else to deny that.

May God Bless all of you.
Allah is the Arabic name which in English translates to God.
The difficulty is not about names or translations. The difficulty is in terms of our understanding of the nature of God. Ecumenical statements, in the name of peace and harmony, tend not to look into the very really differences between a Muslim’s or schismatics understanding of God’s nature and what a Catholic states about God. This is fine as far as such statements go. Who want to start World War III after all over disputes about God’s nature?!!!

One should not forget though, that right from the very beginning, right from the epistles of St Paul, orthodoxy about the nature of God was of absolute central importance to Christians. Very much, we who strive to become one with God must first have a good understanding, and good knowledge and an intimacy with god as he has been revealed through the eys of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

“Catholics need to submit themselves to Allah”
thats no proof, you just used a quote where I mixed english and arabic together:p But I can however simply give evidence I am not a muslim, very easy.

I actually think Benjamin may or may not be a Catholic, but I definitely think he is either a muslim, or on his way to conversion.
I`ve been a Catholic my whole life, and I thank my great-grandmother who had only 1 arm (because of the yogoslavian war) who prayed the rosary daily. I believe my faith in the Catholic Church is very strong because of her, I mean she did only have 1 arm but always had a rosary in her hands. She also had 15 children, the youngest of them is my grandmother. So no way would I ever leave the Church that Jesus Christ established 2000 years ago, and submit myself to a man who put himself greater then Jesus Christ.

God showed me how the rosary can strengthen you, not only in my life, but by taking a look at my great-grandmother who had no problem having 15 children even though she was handicapped. So no sister, I am a Catholic till the day I expire and will be hopefully in the next life as well. 🙂

Islam does preach peace, I am not going to say everyone practices it, but there are peacfull Muslims out there. They do exist. I live in Germany and have a bunch of muslim friends. One time a Muslim asked me if I was going to watch a soccer game where he was going to play, I told them I don`t think I can if I go to church, you know what he told me? He said if you have to go to Church make sure thats your first priority. So please, if someone is going to fill their head with anti-Islam websites then its no wonder they are going to be convinced Islam and its followers are pure evil.

There are three Abrahmic religions

Jewdisum, Christianity, and Islam.

Whats so funny about that is that the number three symbolizes a very holy number, for example the Holy Trinity. Jesus Christ was 33 years when He died. 3 days later HE got ressurected, I think the Bible records only 3 years of His preachings (Im not sure) and so on. Now look at this, Jewdisum if without a doubt the religion that God revealed to humanity since the begining of time, therefore they are the Chosen People. Christianity however fullfilled the religion by accepting Jesus Christ. Then 600 hundred years later comes Mohammed. Now look at the differences between Judaism and Islam.

Jews-Reject Jesus Christ and beleive HE was a blashphemer. I also heard the Jews think very low of the Virgin Mother.

Now

Muslims accept Jesus Christ as a mighty Prophet, and they believe the Virgin Mary should be very highly respected.

Now tell me that God dosen`t work in mysterious ways…

You see, I am not defending Islam, and their barabic teachings, I`m just here with an open mind, and am trying to spread more positivity then negetivity. Only through humility can we defeat satin and his pride.

I get what youre saying, but I dont think all Muslims reject God knowingly, you have to remember Islam is basically forced upon them. Islam basically makes these people think. There IS such thing as brainwashing, and honestly its not so easy to be open minded when you`re a victim of Islam. This is why I believe Muslims hide their face when they pray because once they have that one-on-one moment with Allah the Almighty, an unknown Sirit dwels in them and strucks fear in their souls. The reason for this, is because they did indeed reject His Son. They have to fast 30 days in order to make up for what they did, they do have to pray 5 times a day to make up for what they did, I am not saying they could ever be in the same level as Mother Theresa or any other Saint no matter how much they do pray and fast, but God requires them to do it, because how else can someone achive salvation without suffering on this earth? like I said…God works in mysterious ways.

Exactly my point, the purpose of this thread is for Christians to stop saying Allah is a FALSE GOD, a MOON GOD, Allah is satin and so fort. That is just a disgrace to hear things like that.

Why not be simple and imitate the Holy John Paul II?

“We all worship the same God”🙂

You should also try to consider this argument. It is clear, from a historical point of view, that muhammad, as a youth participated in worshipping all the 360 pagan gods in the kabah in mecca owned and operated by the Quraish tribe to which muhammad was member in good standing. As muhammad grew up, he was influenced by Christians (monotheists) who condemned the polytheism at the kabah.

At some point in muhammad’s life, he was convinced by the Christians that Polytheism was wrong and sought to reject the 360 pagan gods he had grown up with. muhammad was converted to the concept of monotheism through the influence and teachings of Christians. However, being a proud “nationalistic cultural Arab”, bent to preserve his traditions, muhammad, decided to “reform” his native pagan religion, rather than adopt a completely different religion like Christianity.

So muhammad took the top pagan god of the kabah in mecca (called hubal and/or allah) and chose it to be his new monotheistic god. This god was already considered the top god among other gods at the kabah. muhammad’s strategy was simple. Rather than converting all the Arab people to the monotheism of Christianity, muhammad merely banished the other 359 pagan gods and chose the one remaining to be the one and only god… what muslims refer to today as “allah”. Thus islam was born.

You are right, this is something very intersting I should consider. How do Muslims reply to this? I mean how do they usualy reply to Mohammeds history?

Not very convincing - if they want to justify that Mohammad was a prophet of God.
