I’d have to caution people about Chik-fil-A, esp those prone to migraines. It seems they put a lot of MSG in their recipe, bec I ate their chicken a few times and got whop-dinger migraines that put me out of commission for the entire next day. (Migraines usually come about 6 to 24 hours after ingesting large doses of MSG, and can last many hours.)
The same goes for El Pollo Loco.
I’m not sure about the other chicken places, bec my husband has an aversion to all fowl, and I haven’t eaten at KFC and others for decades (but I don’t remember getting migraines from them).
MSG is a neuro-excito toxin (as are sulfides and aspertame) that excites brain cells so one thinks the food tastes better, tho it doesn’t really add any flavor to it, but then kills brain cells. Since MSG is also additive, it is then both a poison and a drug. They also spray it on potato crops to kill the insects. I figure those who get migraines are like the canaries in the coal mines, and that MSG is probably also adversely impacting non-migraine people, who can’t perceive the effects.
It is in most of the grocery store foods (health food stores being the worst since it is really high in meat substitutes), hidden under a plethora of names – like Nature Flavors (40% MSG). MSG is natural, since it occurs naturally in some foods, and is especially high in kidney beans and coconut, etc (which are easy to avoid, since they have to put those foods on the labels). Products with MSG include hydrolyzed so&so, autolyzed so&so, etc. See: truthinlabeling.org/ & truthinlabeling.org/MSG.Aliases.Exposed.htm )
The FDA is an evil org for many reasons (they have a dual mandate to protect consumers AND businesses…so you guess which one is protected more), one being they say they require labeling of MSG, but they really don’t if companies hide it under a different name, and are quite flippant about its harms.
Food companies love MSG since it is addictive and costs a lot less than real spices, like cumin and coriander, etc. In fact aspartame might even contribute to diabetes (rather than help prevent it) – see p. 12 of truthinlabeling.org/Aspartame_Truth_NaturalNewsInterview.Blaylock.pdf – and is a dangerous toxin in its own right – see defeatdiabetes.org/Articles/aspart020100.htm .
So, if Chik-fil-A is indeed putting MSG in its food, in my books it would be a dope-peddling, poison-pushing company that cares nothing about the harm it does to people – at least those prone to migranes (which can take the form of excruciating pain, or temporary blindless…fun while driving down the road).
If they indeed are putting MSG in their food, they are evil, like the bulk of food-producers in America, whatever else their policies might be.
Where are the Christian values in that?
